Yes there are too many false pastors.
Yes he has been arrested.

Nevertheless, being arrested is not an excuse for declaring someone guilty. Even the Messiah was arrested.

I am not one to support pastors, cus in reality I don't really find it comfortable and truthful to support pastors, however the little that i know of how easy it is to crucify an innocent person through the media makes me want to pause and take stock first, until he is actually found guilty in a court of law.

Let us remember that there are somethings that are legally overlooked in nigeria but which are not legal in the US, hence there are many ways that the man [b]might [/b]actually be innocent.

Nevertheless, de-centralisation of government and government aparatus is the only way that the Yorubas can hope to return to the level of developement that they started before the Hausa/Fulanis dragged us down to their level.

Thus in the big scheme of things and after weight the benefits against the disadvantages, I COMPLETELY SUPPORT THE EXISTENCE OF STATE POLICE.

The Nigerian police should be strengthened and well equipped.

Yes state police is dangerous, nevertheless Central police is worse.
State police is actually what is supposed to occur in a federal structure of the country.
The North is already practising the federal character wen it suits them, hence it helps for other parts of the country to break free from the North.
Yes state politicians would use state police for their corrupt purposes, nevertheless Rome was not built in a day, hence it makes sense to start it first and then remedy it as a work in progress.
Nigeria police is more or less a northern police in that, it is toothless and it is controlled from the Center at the federal level. The federal level is itself controlled by the North.

2. Centralisation makes it easier to be corrupt, decentralisaiton of the military and police structure in nigeria makes it more difficult to be corrupt, because it means that each state and region would have autonomous security and thus be able to develop at their own pace.

1. I can't help but feel that Nigeria has been drawing back the Yorubas and bringing us down to the general level of nigerian development.

The following excerpt from an article is why i sometimes feel that Yorubas muslims are as dangerous as Afonja (read history to find out who Afonja is) himself . . . considering that the statements of a few Yoruba muslims on nairaland shows that some of them might be tempted to go against the Yoruba nation as a whole in support of their moon god allah. And hence if the truth be told, someone of them might actually repeat the same thing that Afonja did in terms of betraying the yoruba nation under the naive guise of so called islam.

THE REALITY OF A YORUBA COUNTRY.
Today, the mainstream Yorubas struggling to become an independent nation, was in 1914 arbitrarily merged with other ethnic groups of the Southern and Northern protectorates to become Nigeria.

Yorubaland had earlier been divided between British and French colonialists.

Yoruba people, the largest homogenous ethnic group in Africa, are highly urbanized. Yorubaland boasts of some of the Flourishing cities in Africa: Lagos, the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria and until recently the capital of Nigeria, has a population of about 6.5 million. lbadan, the seat of the defunct Western Regional government is the second largest city on the African Continent after Cairo in Egypt. Each of the more than 20 cities in Yorubaland has a population of over a million inhabitants. When in 1959 the British colonial government conducted a census of Nigeria, out of the ten most populous and strategic cities, eight ( were located in Yorubaland. These are: Lagos, lbadan, Ogbomosho, Ilorin, Oyo, Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Ijebu-Ode, Ado-Ekiti and Akure.

As a matter of fact, the mainstream Yorubas of Western Nigeria with a population of over 40 million people is more populous than all the countries in Africa except Egypt. Yorubaland is also more populous than all of these countries in the Americas: Bahamas, Barbados. Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El-Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela. Yorubaland is more populous than the following countries in Europe: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, and Switzerland. It is more populous than the following countries of Asia: Cambodia, North Korea. Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Taiwan. It is more populous than the following countries of the Middle-East: Bahrain, Brunei, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebancu, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirate and Yemen.

According to available information from the Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry,most mineral deposits and agricultural resources found in Yorubaland are in commercial quantities. Yorubaland is rich in mineral deposits such as Iron ore, Tar sand Crude oil Columbite, Clays Talc Kaolin, Limestone and Marble, Diatomite, Glass and industrial sand Phosphate, Gold Tantalum, Quartz and Lime, Feldspar, Dolomite Nickel, IImentite. It equally has an abundance of agricultural products sustained by immensely fertile land. These include Cocoa, Kola-nut, Coffee, Cashew, Cotton, Tobacco and livestock. For instance Nigeria is presently considered as one of the leading Coco exporters in Nigeria. Before the Oil boom, Nigeria was the highest exporter of palm oil and of the export emanating from Nigeria Yorubaland contributed 90%.

The Yoruba race boasts of an array of highly qualified professionals. The naked truth it is that it parades the highest number of intellectuals on the continent of Africa, a tradition bequeathed to the race by her early access to Western education. The Literacy levels in Yorubaland are above 70% while 40% of the literates are qualified professionals of diversed disciplines and professionals careers.       CAN A MAJOR WAR BE AVERTED? (historical background to the crisis)
      THE YORUBAS

      The known history of the people of western Nigeria dates back to thousands of years. Our ancestors evolved cultures and tradition that have become the envy of many races. They established for centuries, an effective political system imbued with democratic norms. The Oyo Empire, which thrived for an impressive number of centuries under Alaafin, was the more influential of the empires in pre-colonial Nigeria

      The Yoruba people living in Western Nigeria today are estimated at about 40 million. they inhabit Kogi, Kwara, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Delta, Edo and Lagos state. An estimated 5 million Yorubas live in Togo and Benin republic, both neighbouring countries of Nigeria because Yorubaland was partitioned between the British and the French colonialists.

      The Yoruba race is set on an expanse of land that is rich in agricultural products and mineral resources such as crude oil, bitumen and iron-ore to mention a few. The human resources of the Yorubas are enormous. They were among the first to embrace western education in the whole of Africa. It boasts of the highest number of intellectuals in Nigeria. Yoruba people are very accommodating and their cities, home to all Nigerians and foreigners doing business in Nigeria.

      ADVENT OF THE FULANIS AND THEIR MENACE

      All the two hundred and forty nine (249) Ethnic groups in Nigeria were living together in peace and had a recorded history of interaction before the arrival of the Fulani in 1801. This race arrived Nigeria through Sokoto, a city in Northern Nigeria. By 1804 their leader Uthman Dan Fodio, started his expansionist campaign. Styled "Islamic jihad. within a few years Hausa states were forcefully annexed and their Habe kings brutally murdered and replaced with Fulani Emirs. In this campaign, all the Hausa states of Gobir, Kantzina, Daura, Zamfara, Kebbi, Kano, ZauZau fell under the onslaught of the invading Fulani army.

      Persons from the Uthman Dan Fodio family were imposed on them as Emirs. This is the reason why all the Emirs in Nigeria today are cousins.
      Apparently impressed with the successes that attended their military campaign against the Hausas, Uthman was bent on going for more. With these successful conquests, disappeared , for all time , the cultures and traditions of the Hausas who had the eastern culture for a replacement. However, Fodio's aggression against the Bornu people, Tiv and Jukuns, Adamawa and Plateau people of the middle belt of Nigeria was not as successful. Uthman then decided to direct his aggression against the Oyo Empire. He died shortly after he started this design against the Yorubas.

      But unfortunately slave trade, internal political upheavals combined with the use of Calvary soldiers by the invading Fulani army, led to the destruction of the Oyo empire. One after another, in an attempt to impose Emirs on the Yorubas which the people rejected , over fifty (50) Yoruba towns and cities were totally sacked and people became the butt of genocide. Others were into sold slavery in large numbers. This contributed to why most Africans-Americans, Blacks in Cuba, Brazil Haiti, Jamacia, Tridad and Tabogo, Guyana are descendents of Yorubas in western Africa. Unfortunately still, one major Yoruba city, Ilorin, fell into the hands of the fulanis and by 1831 had its first Emir. With this Fulani stronghld in Yorubaland, the Sokoto caliphate waged a series of wars on the Yoruba race. It must be noted that Fodio had asked his followers to conquer what remained in Nigeria then, especially people who lived in the western part of Nigeria. He had boasted that they "would dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean" which literally meant a colonization of the Yorubas.

      British intervention and the determination of the Yorubas prevented them from overrunning the rest of Yorubaland.
      THE MISTAKE OF 1914

      The most popular Northern Nigeria's political leader in history, late Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, who was then the Sadauna of Sokoto regarded the amalgamation of northern Nigeria with the Southern Nigeria in 1914 by Lord Lugard, the colonial Governor general, as the mistake of 1914. this was because it put a stop to the Fulani expansionist policy against other nationalities. The Prime Minister of Nigeria at independence, Alhaji Tafawa Balewa, had earlier in 1947 regretted British intervention when he said "if the British quit Nigeria now at this stage, the Northern people could continue their uninterrupted conquest (1804 Jihad) to the sea….Nigeria's unity is only a British intention for the country"

      It has to be noted that since the conquest of the Hausas, they have also been integrated into the mainstream Fulani culture. This accounts for the now common parlance, "The Hausa/Fulanis", the Fulanis were not too comfortable with the British lumping all the nationalities together. Modern concepts of governance like party politics, parliamentary and participatory democracy, the rule of law and separation of powers were totally alien to the autocrats.
      All the nationalities in Nigeria, except the Hausa/Fulanis, were filled with fears of domination as the country was moving closer to her independence. All these groups got organised and agreed on a Federal arrangement where the regions were to enjoy a degree of autonomy. By March 31, 1953, the action group, the ruling political party in the west moved the motion for the independence of Nigeria by 1956.Leaders of the various ethnic groups in the Federal House of Representatives agreed except the Hausa/Fulani of Northern Nigeria. They walked out of the parliament claiming they were not prepared and went back home to mobilize against the Southerners. In May 1953, 47 southerners were killed while about 200 others were injured in the north because the rejection of independence had won the Hausa/Fulani leaders derision from a Lagos crowd in the west.

      At their insistence, the Yorubas (Western region) were granted independence in 1957, the Eastern region later in that year. The Northern region got its autonomy, in 1959. Thus, to demonstrate that the regions were autonomous, independence was granted to them at different periods. The regions ran a different civil service and educational systems, operated under different economic policies. They also had separate police forces, maintained autonomous foreign missions where convenient. All major policies belonged to the regions. These were specified in the residual list. Exclusive list belonged to the Federal government while concurrent list belonged to the Federal and the regional governments. What belonged exclusively to the Federal government was currency issuance, Defence, Federal Civil Service, Customs and Immigration.

      To allay the fears of other nationalities and agree on a workable constitutional arrangement, constitutional conferences were held from 1953 to 1959 with the British government mediating. Under the arrangement, the regions were allowed to govern themselves. They also had their legislative councils, which would legislate on all subjects except those already commonly agreed to be in the exclusive list. The Premiers of the region were also the Heads of State of those regions.

      Resources distribution took this form. Of the 100% income accruing to the regions that were to retain 50%, thirty five percent redistributive income after polling together so that the regions without a good resource base (which was the north) could benefit, while 15% was to be polled together to run the centre. In the following analysis, we will see how the Hausa/Fulanis have withdrawn 98 % to the centre.
      THE SUBVERSION OF YORUBA PEOPLES PROGRESS

      Between 1954 and 1959, the Western Nigeria's regional government made swift economic progress under its leader, Late Chief Obafemi so much so that some countries in Asia, like Malaysia, sent their economy experts to study the economy. This was in 1955. The per capital income was higher than that of most countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa at the time. It was a government that had a mission, a government premised on accountability.

      THE YORUBAS CONCRETE ACHIEVEMENTS BETWEEN 1954 AND 1959
    * One of the most efficiently run civil service in the Common wealth.
    * A respectable judicial system as against the Sharia law system of the north.
    * The first industrial estate in Africa.
    * Free and efficient health care delivery system.
    * The first radio and television station in Africa
    * The best road network in Nigeria.
    * Free education at all levels with an effective scholarship scheme, which still accounts for why there exists a yawning educational gap between the west and other parts of the country.
    * The first international stadium in Africa.

The west, therefore, had become a threat to the race of aggressors whose major pre-occupation is to Islamise the nation by force and dominate others in order to subvert their cultural developments and have them replaced by those of the Arabs.
EFFORTS AT SUBVERSION

The menace, which the Army has constituted to the Nigerian people, was a deliberate creation of the Fulani. The late Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello had resorted to recruiting young schoolboys of Hausa/Fulani origin into the Military. This accounts for why Northern Nigerians feel at home under military regimes, it is the institution that has made their agenda for Nigeria realizable. The army has become the Northern Nigeria Army hence its motto is written in Arabic language. It will be recalled that the independence granted to Nigeria on October 1st 1960 was handed over to the Hausa/Fulani. The British had also before amalgamation of 1914 arbitrarily carved out territories in favour of largely uneducated northern Nigeria feudalists. To convince other nationalities of their firm grip on the military, the motto of the Nigerian army was written in Arabic language. Equally the national currencies are decked with Arabic writing and designs. This is done in spite of the multi-religious character of Nigeria.
HOW IT STARTED
There was a political upheaval in the west between the leader of the Action Group Party, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and his deputy, Chief S.L Akintola. The crisis broke out at their Jos national convention of 1962. The Hausa/Fulani led central government came mightily in support of the deputy who was no longer popular in that region. The federal government imposed Akintola on the west and declared a state of emergency, which was not constitutional. The people revolted and demonstrators destroyed lives and properties.The Action Group Party leaders left London and filed a suit before the Privy Council which was then the Nigerian supreme court. They won the case on the grounds that the region was a self-governing one, but the Federal government imported Northern Nigerian Police to the west to check demonstrators who were bent on reversing the decision of the government. Hundreds of Yoruba demonstrators were killed, thousands were injured. Popular leaders of the Yorubas were framed up on a trumped-up charge of treasonable felony and were jailed. The first Premier of the region and the leader of the party, Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo was jailed for 10 years.

The Eastern region that had been silent now saw clearly the handwriting on the wall and decided to take side with the west to avoid the same fate. Mr. Micheal Opara, the Premier of that region secretly installed a pirate radio in the west as a form of assistance to enable the A.G broadcast the true results of the elections which Akintola's Nigerian Democratic Party had rigged.

During the crisis, Professor Wole Soyinka, Nigerian Noble Laureate was jailed for seizing the regional radio and television station by force. This was a form of protest against the use of the electronic media against the people, by government.

Amid tight security and a government-imposed curfew, Akintola was returned and by 1966, hundreds had died as a result of the violence that ensued between the people and the Federal government.

THE FIRST COUP AND THE BEGINING OF DISTORTIONS IN THE OLD ARRANGEMENT

On January 16, 1966, some military officers of Eastern Nigeria origin, in consequences of the crisis in the Western Region of Nigeria, including a few Yorubas, staged the first coup deta't but could not hold on to power. Late Gen. Aguyi Ironsi head of the Nigerian Army (also from the East) took control and became the first military head of state. He started some unifying efforts. Because of this, the Hausa/Fulanis of the North were enraged. It was seen as an attempt to set back their political gains made in the West. Six months later the Hausa/Fulani military boys, led by Yakubu Gowon, Muritala Muhammed and T. Danjuma Struci back. They, killed the Head of State, installed Yakubu Gowon as head of state started on experiment at ethnic cleansing by killing over 2,000 military men of Eastern Nigeria origin for the coup. More than 10,000 Southerners living in the north also lost their lives. These military boys flew their flag at Idi-Araba in Lagos, a Yoruba city and the then capital of Nigeria and declared a Republic of Northern Nigeria. It was only the intervention of the British High Commissioner that made them replace the Northern Nigerian flag with the green ,white, green colour of Nigeria. The genocide wrecked by the north and other events later to a bloody civil war in Nigeria from 1967 to 1970.

SWIFT ALTERATIONS:

This era saw the beginning of the deliberate distortions of the popular constitutional arrangements between the federating units agreed upon from 1953 and 1959.
First to come under the hammer was the revenue sharing formula. From the 50% revenue accruing to the regions according to the derivation principle, the Hausa/Fulani hegemony as personified in the new military regime removed 5% and added it to that of the Federal government in 1967. The government divided the regions (which had become four as a result of one additional region fraudulently carved out of the west in the heat of the Western regional crisis) into twelve states, creating more from the north for political advantage and economic gains. Earlier, the 1963 national census had been manipulated to make the north seem more populated than the south.

By 1975, when General Yakubu Gowon (rtd) could no longer press forward as the Fulanis wanted, a Fulani military officer, Muritala Muhammed seized power from Gowon. Knowing that the Federal civil service was dominated by the Yorubas, because of their early exposure to Western education, 10,000 civil servants were sacked in a day. He equally ordered the removal of the Federal capital territory from Lagos, a Yoruba city, to Abuja in the north. Radio and television stations, which were established by the regions were also taken over. The same fate befell primary and tertiary institutions. The Federal government under Muritala said it wanted to ensure 'uniform" development. He took over roads and all health institutions which were in the care of the west. The first stadium of international standard built in the 1 950s in Ibadan by the Western regional government, which was also the first of its kind in Africa was taken over. And under the guise of the centre having enormous responsibilities in her hands, Muritala removed a whooping 20% from the remaining 45% revenue accruing to the states from derivation.

Even though Muritala was killed six months later in a foiled coup detat, his former deputy, General Olusegun Obasanjo became the head of state. A Fulani junior officer the then lieutenant - colonel Shehu Musa Y' Adua, had to be promoted two steps over his rank to fit in as the second in command. General Musa Yar'Adua became the unmerited deputy who wielded more power than his boss. He was the Fulani guarantee for Obasanjo's regime.

When in 1979 the Obasanjo government decided to hand over to a civilian government, a Fulani man who was declared winner of a controversial election, became the executive president of Nigeria. Alhaji Shehu Shagari the new helmsman continued what his predecessors started. Under a new economic arrangement, another staggering 20% of the remaining 25% revenue accruing to states from derivation was removed. Shehu Shagari ran the economy aground within four years. On the eve of his removal from the office in 1983 Nigeria was indebted to the world bank and other financial institutions a whooping $45 billion. He had met a surplus of $6.5 billion in office in 1979. The Fulani oilgarchists, fearing that a violent mass uprising might be staged against that brazenly corrupt administration, staged another coup deta't le General led by Muhammad Buhari (rtd). Buhari could not understand why the states still had "so much" percentage of the derivation revenue 1n their control. Of the 5% derivation revenue remaining with the states, (three and half percent) was taken, leaving a paltry (One and half percent) for the states. Eight months later, General Ibrahim Babangida, another Northerner seized power from Buhari. Babangida, easily the most corrupt of Nigeria's rulers, ruled the country for eight years and brought the economy to a comatose state in which it is in today. Babangida annulled the June 12, 1993 Presidential election won by a Yoruba man, Chief M. K. 0, Abiola, In the freest and fairest election so far in the hisoryt of the nation. Over N 40 billion was wasted on that stalemated transition to rule programme.

WHAT DO THEY WANT?
Whether under the military or civilian governments. The Hausa/Fulani of Northern Nigeria have perfected a strategy to perpetually rule Nigeria and colonize her peoples, hence their refusal to accept any person outside their geographical group to rule the country. A number of other fraudulent mechanisms have also been injected into the Nigerian political arrangement. Federal character is one of them. It is a policy where, qualified or not, persons of Hausa/Fulani stock are granted sinecures in the country. The policy has since changed to "Northern character" because positions which used to be shared among ethnic groups now belong exclusive them. Quota system is another method where unqualified Northerners enter institutions of learning just to fill "the quota" unilaterally allotted them by government. Some of these "students" never sat for an examination; all in an attempt to bridge educational gap.

Nigeria today is controlled by an idle tribe of Emirs, subordinate feudal lords and networks of collaborators. The country is being ravaged by an ensemble of thieving aristocrats who have incurred a national debt of 100 billion from external sources. Widespread poverty and political instability are the legacies they have to show for their political domination. Ethnic suspicion is rife. Religious strife's are frequent between Christians of the south and the Muslims of the north. Within 35 years of the Hausa/Fulani hegemony in Nigeria, thrice the number of people incarcerated by the British during its 100 years of colonization were jailed. About 70% of these victims are the Yorubas of Western Nigeria. By these acts and others, gains made by the Yorubas under self-regional government in health, education, culture, industrialization, infrastructures etc have been viciously annihilated.

I have played FIFA 10 full game and PES 2010 demo . . . and my verdict is that:

1. FIFA 10 is completely better than PES 2010.

2. Funny as it may sound, the only place where PES is better is in graphics, which is understandable, considering that PES is not fully licensed hence its easy for them to focus on just a few players and stadium compared to FIFA.

Why: Because people they are the ones who have the closet features to europeans, hence people are choosing them mostly due to their blacks features that make them look european. For example, in my own opinion, even Nigerian Fulanis are much more beautiful than so called East Africans.

There are many components to be considered in terms of beauty, hence why they say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

That's very true. I also noticed the same preference among African American women as well. Dark skin is considered sexy and beautiful on men but not really on women. I guess is because society places more importance on a woman's looks whereas for men it's their money. However that still doesn't explain the fact that many african/black women are more PHYSICALLY attracted to darker men putting all issues about his wealth and success aside. I find black african men of all shaded attractive from pitch black to yellow. I have a preference for african men, but not for a particular shade. Light skin is not as  desired on men, but there are a few dark girls who prefer light skinned igbo guys and fulani.
