Music/RadioRe: Let's Talk About Brymo by NoApology(m): 3:38pm On Jan 16, 2022
Brymo is in the league of the likes of Asa, Timi Dakolo and other great artists that make intelligent and beautiful music. I don't expect their crafts to go viral (except once in a while though) owing to the fact that most Nigerians don't have a good taste for music.

Always listen to brymo while at work or driving home.
EducationHow To Mitigate Static Electric Shock In This Harmattan Dry Weather by NoApology(op): 3:05pm On Jan 06, 2022
Moments ago my boy woke up from his nap and came to my study. I reached down to him to cuddle his cute face and,....grrr!....shock! I immediately yanked away my hand. Omoh the electric shock loud. I know of static electricity but i never knew it's zap can be this strong.

Static electricity builds up more in dry weather which explains why it is very common during the harmattan period. If you have experienced these zaps like i did, these simple steps below can help mitigate static electricity

1. Treat Your Carpets
Use an anti-static treatment on your carpets and rugs. Spraying an anti-static chemical will reduce static shocks around your home. A charge will not build up between your feet and the carpet, thus reducing your likelihood of being shocked.

2.Rub Dryer Sheets Over Your Upholstery

Grab dryer sheets, not for your laundry, but for your upholstery. Rubbing your furniture and even the seats in your car with dryer sheets will reduce the static buildup on those surfaces. Dryer sheets act as neutralizers for electrical charge (and odor). Keep some in your pocket.

These applications will help reduce static electricity in your home. For more comprehensive steps, there are ways to remove static electricity from your body. Combined, you should be able to beat the winter shocks.

3. Stay Moisturized

Keeping your skin hydrated is one way to reduce the effects of static shock. Using lotions and moisturizers before getting dressed and throughout the day will help keep static electricity from accumulating on your body. As we learned before, the drier the air or your skin, the higher the potential of being zapped.

4. Wear Low-Static Fabrics & Shoes

Rubber-soled shoes are insulators and build up static on your body. Couple that with a wool sweater or wool socks and you’ll be wearing the ideal gear for getting zapped. All synthetic fibers, including polyester and nylon are culprits of static build up. Instead, wear leather-soled shoes and natural fibers, such as cotton socks and clothing.

So, Rubber — no. Leather — yes. Wool — no. Cotton — yes.

5. Add Baking Soda to Your Laundry
Did you know that baking soda acts as a barrier between positive and negative charges from creating static build up? It also acts as a water and fabric softener.

Along with wearing low-static materials such as leather and cotton, wash your clothing with this anti-static treatment. Add ¼ cup baking soda to your regular laundry cycle to help prevent static electricity in your laundry.

You may need to adjust the amount of baking soda between a couple tablespoons for a small load to ½ cup for larger loads. ¼ cup is the average measurement suggested.
RomanceRe: Is There Someone In Your Life That You Had To Cut-off For Your Own Good? by NoApology(m): 4:51pm On Dec 17, 2021
Yup. We dated couple of years then we broke up. After sometimes we reconnected as friends with benefits. She is in school so i help her with most of her school work (most girls no get head for books again smh). I help with cash too.

Of late i she has been less and less attractive to me sexually. Not that she is ugly or something, the babe set well but somehow i don't get sexual vibes around her anymore.

Now the reason I cut her off is because she was trying to get us back to being officially lovers but since i am not giving into her sexual advances she started nagging life outa me. Again i run like 90% of her school work for her. Na to write exam for am remain.

I am a busy person and her school burden is one i am tired of shouldering. That's why i had to let her go as she brings nothing to the table. OK bye

I was recovering my photos from Google photos and i saw this pix projecting what would be the state of Nigerians by 2023 if the government of the day retained power in 2019.

The pix was from 2018 but juxtaposing the pix with the current situation on ground, we might be worse off than that before 2023.

RomanceDo You Look Your Age? by NoApology(op): 2:27pm On Dec 11, 2021
WEEKEND APROKO

I saw a thread on Twitter of a young man who married a 29 year old lady only to discover later that she was 43! Many people didn't believe his story because how the heck can one be 43 and you don't notice?

Well i can totally relate. This is because i look way too younger than my age and it's quite frustrating for me. For instance, i always get looked down on females who are supposed to be on my dating age bracket. Most times they will be like, "this boy you get mind o to come chyke me because you carry your uncle motor " smh. The only group that seems to take a pass at me are secondary school kids. Imagine!

Another instance was a seminar I attended sometime ago. I stood up to speak and after I was done, the organizer was like, " dude you speak with a lot of wisdom for your age". Omo I just weak.

So tell us, do you look your age? Or you look a tad younger or older?

Does it affect your social life or ego in any way?

Let's hear in the comments section.

PoliticsExplained: Why The FG Keeps Borrowing Despite Our Huge Foreign Reserve by NoApology(op): 9:42am On Dec 03, 2021
Ok let me explain Foreign Reserves to you in layman’s terms (and I welcome any expert or CBN to challenge this) Got this inspiration from Tosin Adeoti. You probably have heard Buhari looking to borrow $3bn for God knows what.

2. And you’ve heard that Nigeria’s foreign reserves is circa $40bn Why is Buhari not taking from the reserves. Why is he putting us in debt abi? Well those foreign reserves are not really reserves

3. Abi if you reserve money, it means that it is yours for the rainy day, night right? Well not in this case. Nigeria sell goods to the world majorly oil and collects dollars in return.

4. Dollar is the global currency. The standard unit of money as at today. So almost all countries change their currencies to dollars and pay for what’s bought. After we take their dollars after giving them oil, FG meets CBN, oya help me change this dollar to naira.

5. Why? FG can’t spend revenue in $ in Nigeria. They must pay contractors, workers salaries (and other obligations) in guess what? Naira. Why do they meet CBN? Because only CBN is authorized to print Naira.

6. So CBN takes the dollar and gives Naira to FG to do whatever. FG flexes and enjoys the Naira, CBN keeps the dollars. Now that dollars that FG gave CBN is what we know as FOREIGN RESERVES.

7. From all I’ve said above, that dollar no longer belongs to FG. Almost like meeting one “aboki” to change N500k to $1k, then you go home and enjoy your N500k then boast to your wife that you have reserves of $1k somewhere. . Weyrey!

8. It’s not over. What’s the use of that dollar that FG gave CBN. CBN uses that dollars to give anyone who needs to buy things from abroad

9. Dangote wants to buy stuff from abroad, he meets CBN and give them Naira in exchange for dollars and he pays his suppliers abroad. You want to use your bank Naira card to buy stuff abroad, your bank changes Naira in your account to dollars with CBN and pays for it

10. CBN can’t spend the dollars with it. They can only exchange for Naira so imports happen. It is reserved for making foreign payments.

11. Foreign reserves also determines what we can import as a country. If Nigerians spend $10bn per month on imports and CBN has just $30bn in reserves, we will survive for just 3 months till.... This is also why we must look at exports. Get those dollars flowing in! END!

Yes, certificates are highly overrated.

But mind you, a third class degree holder in 1981 has more opportunities than a first class degree holder in 2021.

I remember one interview where barr George Igbokwe (SAN) was saying that in their time, once you graduate from law school, you will see law firms begging you to come and work for them. The opposite is the case today

Lol funny. Well I'm sure he didn't follow apiam way because is a citizen there. In their time traveling outside the country was not a difficult as it is today, no thanks to how messed up the country's antecedents in the global community are. .
chatinent:
Oh, men.

Schooling in Nigeria is one big scam. Definitely your respected uncle followed apiam way into the shores. Maybe he hid inside a container. What do I know.

By the way, rather than being idle and expecting an imaginary uncle overseas to return and gift you money as the festive season is drawing close, shouldn’t I show you a way to cash out yourself?

EducationAre Certificates Really Overrated? What I Saw In My Uncle's House by NoApology(op): 11:53am On Nov 19, 2021
So one of my uncles that is based overseas is billed to come home this Xmas, as such a lot of cleaning and fumigation has been going on in his house in readiness for his come back.

I went this morning to supervise the work going on there. I went inside of the stores by the car house and saw this old metal cabinet and I decided to check what's inside. Lo and behold, I found in the midst of old paper files and debris my uncle's Nigerian certificates! Omo!

Rats has eaten some portions of the certificates. I scanned through and discovered that he was,by his Nigerian qualifications, below average. This is the same man that is an internationally sort after lawyer both in the country and overseas where he resides.

This got me wondering with so many questions on my mind:
1. Are certificates really overrated?

2. Does it really come a time in our lives (apart from death) when our certificates becomes irrelevant?

3. Is it not obsolete to measure ones intelligence based on exam performances? ( My uncle would have been jobless or better still a charge and bail lawyer at best going by his academic performance)

4. And why do Nigerians perform better in almost everything when the leave this country? Are we too stringent or is a reflection of our flawed system?

EducationNoble Eyisi Graduates With 1st Class In The UK After Suspension From UNIZIK by NoApology(op): 11:53am On Oct 30, 2021
Suspended UNIZIK SUG President Graduates With 1st Class In The UK

Former UNIZIK SUG President suspended for 'questioning the status quo' graduates with Distinction in UK

Lines are certainly falling in pleasant places for Mr. Noble Eyisi, a one time President, Students Union Government of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

Mr. Eyisi became popular following his ordeal with UNIZIK Authorities in 2015 for questioning what he perceived as unjust financial burden placed on students of the institution by the Management as at the time he held sway as SUG President.

He was impeached by the Students Representative Council of the institution on the instances of the Management and was later suspended by same University authorities.

As fate would have it, the young man left the shores of the country when he couldn't get justice from the courts.

The young smart Eyisi took the world by surprise in 2019 when he bagged First class honours in Law with Politics at the University of Hull.

As one destined for greatness, Noble just bagged yet another Distinction in International Commercial Law.

Celebrating his latest achievement on his Facebook page, he wrote:

"It’s not coincidence and it’s not luck. I know it comes from above. I’ve got miracles, a million little miracles’.

"This one feels different for so many reasons, one of which was becoming a dad to Chimdaalu, having to do three jobs while attending my lectures and studying and being a husband to my beautiful wife. But finally, thank God it ended with praise.

"I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this possible, from my family to my mentors. I appreciate you all a lot.

"I’ve embarked on a different journey now as I wait to do my PhD and I hope you’ll be kind enough to follow me on @noblenigeriaorg as we try to build a Nigeria that we all can be proud of and call ours", he added.

Since innocent married Annie nothing extraordinary has happened. His baby mamas didn't die or stopped communicating with him. His kids from other women weren't disowned. Annie didn't bear more kids for him.

The only thing that changed was Annie being upgraded from a baby mama to a wife - an upgrade that Innocent may be regretting at the moment.

My point is some things are meant to remain the same. There would have been relative peace if Innocent had maintained their baby mama status quo. Now one is feeling entitled because a ring was nudged into her finger.
