You are very wrong and don't understand or follow PDP pre-primary election events.
IBB & Northern elders chose Bukola Saraki and Bala Muhd as the choice of Northerners for PDP primary election and Tambuwal was very angry and felt betrayed by their decision after the trio spent weeks touring the Northern states together.
Tambuwal stepped down for Atiku not because he agrees in principles with Atiku's candidacy but because he lost all the structure that could make him win the primary and endorsed Atiku as a revenge on Bala Muhammad and Saraki!

I respect this man for one singular fact he is very thoughtful and thorough with equity. How can I tell my children with the political situation in Nigeria today that another Northerner wants to succeed an incumbent Northerner after 8 years?

Hate him or love him, he is one of the people that believe in justice and equity.

For the record as at today, the BOT, Chairman and Presidential candidate of a major opposition party PDP are all in the North.

This is a case of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop.....

Where were these people when the likes of Wike were holding the party?
The same people that made the party to lose in 2015 have hijacked the party with the support of selfish lots in South because of peanuts forgetting the fact that the South is the goose that lays the golden egg (more than 90% revenue) for all.

Like it or not, wike is the kind of leader Nigeria needs right now. Someone that is blunt enough to call anyone's bluff, without minding whose ox is gored.

He has proven himself to be very trustworthy and reliable. For me, such a man is an asset to the party. If they're wise, they should respect and hold him tight.Eastern governors suffer? Are you kidding me? Look when it becomes bad everybody suffers it including north, Wike cannot intimidate anybody to vote for him. National politics is not rivers politics, in national politics you have to be circumspect not flippant like wike. He should lick his wounds in the core east we don't even know that Wike exists.

It's such a shame that the eastern governors ain't ready for the change their people are longing for. Yes, they will regret it and they will suffer, for real.

If Nigeria was to be a sane country, anywhere Peter Obi goes, he should win. But unfortunately, in a country where the insane fools are much more than the sensible ones, people will soon start telling us how Labour Party doesn't have the structure to win election and how Peter Obi doesn't have the money to pay voters.
What happen to our conscience? Our we really serious about taking back this country?

What dis man do not understand about the delegates is that they will collect money from all angles and still vote for dere choice. Ask WIKE e go explain better.. Wen all candidates dey do consultation no state delegates rejected any candidate den welcome all of dem but 4 dere mind dey know wia dere support belong so 4get it is not abt money bt dem must collect from all aspirants.

In Summary, On becoming Governor, Wike set up a Commission of Inquiry under Justice George Omereji which submitted a report that 96bn was missing under ex-Gov Rotimi Amaechi. The Commission alleged that Amaechi had sold Rivers State assets to cronies and friends.

Amaechi declined to testify or attend the hearings citing the fact that the Commission was illegal and he was witch-hunted as well as that he will not get fair hearing. The Rivers High Court under Justice Simeon Amadi declared the Commission valid asking Amaechi to go testify, the Appeal Court repeated the same thing and now the Supreme Court has concurred.

They flogged the entire class, only one child died. Obviously there was something else wrong with the child that the "trauma" from the flogging exacerbated. I feel for the parents though, it's quite a sad state, but in all honesty, even the parents will admit just flogging didn't cause his death. A competent autopsy will probably identify the root cause.
