Politics / Re: If This Could Happen In Benue; Why Can't It Happen In Rivers (pix) by Nodogragra4me(m): 9:26am On May 16
Melagros:
COMRADES, below are the photos of the Tor Tiv reconciling SGF Akume and Hyacinth Alia the governor of Benue State after a longstanding feud between the duo, now they are back on track together for the interest and progress of Benue State

However, the case is usually different when it comes to political loggerheads in the Niger Delta. The political scenario displaying itself in Rivers State today, it had displayed itself in the Niger Delta States. Bayelsa State, is between Jonathan and Sylva. Edo State, Oshiomhole vs Obaseki. Rivers State, Ameachi vs Wike. Rivers State, Fubara vs Wike. Akwa Ibom State, Udom vs Akpabio etc. These political actors involved in a messy impasse that they don't say 'Hi' to each other to the extent that they even deleted each others phone numbers from their phones. Some enmity lasted as long as ten years without reconciliation up till date

Let us talk about the political situation in Rivers State today, who do you think suppose to reconcile the warring parties? The elders? The past governors? Or the traditional rulers? Because the president has tried his best in this case, unfortunately it could not work. Why do you think that political misunderstanding in Rivers State is always irreconcilable till infinity?

Akume is not a trouble maker and I never for once saw him personally shout on top of his voice over his differences with SIM

Wike has an oversized ego

Cable TV is better. With streaming you’d experience inconsistent viewing experience caused by internet connection which will ultimately lead to buffering and most times low quality streaming where the video quality drops from 760p to 240p. Even with your data you won’t enjoy your favorite TV shows and matches all the time because of that. And might end up spending more on data.

You guys should stop advertising your ignorance here....

50inch or 200inch is the same

Thr video format is what determines the data consumption

SD
G
HD
UHK
4K
8K
1MK

The videos are done by production companies with different formats.

The sizes are fixed so even if you down it and plug it with flash drive to your Almighty 50inche ultra ultra ultra the TV will still play it a downloaded. It won't recook it to a higher gig.

If you want to save data switch to SD OR HD

STOP SPREADING YOUR IGNORANCE AS KNOWLEDGE because of 50inch TV

Me I just tire for all these people shouting streaming is expensive. When you are not a sit at home man/woman. When I pay for Cable TV, I hardly watch up to 48hrs cumulative in a month. And aside from days of football matches, nothing serious is coming out of paid TV. Even YouTube alone gvs more entertainment than paid TV movie channels.

Compact is now 15k+ using 10k for 40gb data will last me more than a month.

They are dstv agents trying to defend the indefensible with ill-thought and unwise reasons

One person even lies that his or her TV is switched on from 5:30 am and remains so until 12 midnight everyday because he has a family as if he is the only one with family

Just unintelligent contributions

How can it be more expensive when I am sure I won't be watching it for more than 2 hours everyday

I'm out of my house and will be transiting thieufh two states

My wife is out and so also are my kids

Even if I have the smart box now, madam will be too busy with her kids to begin to watch TV in the evening.

This thing is the best thing to be brought forward here in nairaland for family Men to mange their resources

You are not pigeon holed to some very boring channels

You make your pick when you need to

Do you know how dstv makes money from you ?

What you pay for is data to download those pictures

When you are not at home , they make money

bros it is more expensive to stream. Especially if you are addicted like watching 4k content like me. I dont enjoy a movie that lacks high definition picture quality. To me streaming is more expensive. The only advantage I have is on streaming is you have unlimited contents. You decide what to watch unlike the boring cables.

It is not expensive. It is you that made it expensive for you

The same numbers of channels on dstv that cost 15k or substituted with other more interesting channels , viewed like somebody with work ,with kids outside watching TV, to do ....not the one somebody here says he starts from 5:30 to 12 midnight everyday

There is nothing like family life .

The kids must go to school so those hours the TV is not in use .

They return and tires and needing rest not TV ...

When they wake up it is to eat , watch TV if is is possible and do their assignments and before long it is time for them to sleep

I don't know how a family can be at home from morning to evening even till midnight.

So when there is no light , they put on generator because of TV ?

The bigger the size of your TV set, the more data it consumes. A 45 inch TV will consume more data than a 35 inch TV.

special features of the TV such as 4K resolution or 8k on Quantum dots technology will further deplet the data.

So while someone with a 45 inch regular smart TV may use 22GIG data for one month, another with a 65 inch 4K resolution TV might use up dame 22GIG data in 2weeks or less.

That is not true

Size of TV doesn't determine anything.

HD is the same size on all phones

Standard is standard
4k is 4k everywhere

That was why I asked him the size of his TV. My 65" 4K High definition TV cannot join this conversation. grin

It is the 4k that is consuming.

Whether it is 14 inch 4k It is the same data.

If you go to YouTube and decide to download,It shows you the different standards whether you want to down with Tecno or Samsung or iOS is if no concern

The size of the TV is inconsequential. It is the standard you decide to watch the movie that counts .....

There is standard
There hd
There is 4k

The same movie on the different standards requires different data with 4k eating more

For me , either standard or hd is enough and with 20g for 3k from Airtel you won't even finish It

How many hours do I have to invest in TV ....right now, nobody is at home including my kids

In the evening everybody just wants to eat and sleep

Basically TV is for Saturdays and Sundays relaxation

You just dey discover say it saves cost to stream?

I have successfully stopped subscribing on GoTV since 6-7years now. Why did I stop?
I remember I subscribed that month and discovered that the channels didn't fully load. I called their contact center and I was told they have removed the channels.

The lady that picked the call sounded so nonchalant, and that the remover is their choice and no need to inform the customer. I stopped subscribing the next month. They have called me tire since then, offered me incentives and inducements, I haven't changed my decision.

Monthly, I simply activate MTN's 200GB on my 5G router and enjoy movies of choice, YouTube, football etc.

I like the be in control and doing streaming gives me control cuz I have not subscription running whether I watch or not. I can also control my data usage. Some months, nah 110GB I use, some 150GB and I just roll over the data.

Since I saw the increase in bouquet I just dey laugh 😄

Our court wedding was supposed to be on Friday. I caught her telling a married man I love you and calling each other all sweet names. I confronted her and she said she was telling of proving to me she was faithful that I should draw whatever conclusions I wanted to.

I went to work on Monday and came back and told her I wanted to pause the weeding until we could sort our issues and she said we should call it off totally.

As we speak she has moved back to her mom’s house with the two kids, what do I do?

PS: she was raised by a single mom
