Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) has called on the Big Brother Naija 2020 winner Laycon to pay his tax.

Igbere TV reports that the agency’s request came after the Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) congratulated Laycon on Monday, urging him to pay his tax.

Laycon is an indigene of Ogun State but resides in Lagos. Igbere TV reports that Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun had on Monday congratulated him on Twitter.

Some of his tweets read: “The pacesetter that you are, you have emerged one of the best in academic and social engagements, so this victory is aptly a confirmation of your brilliance, intellect and maturity.

“Youths of Ogun State, Nigeria, Africa and in fact the world over, see you as the face of positive revolution in the history of African entertainment.”

Laycon got N30 million in cash for winning the show. He will also receive various gifts and incentives valued at N55 million. They include an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai for two, a two-bedroom apartment, a sport utility vehicle from Innoson Motors, a Scanfrost electronic makeover, one year supply of Pepsi Cola, one year supply of Munch It and Indomie noodles and VIP tickets to watch the European Champions League final.

Students of Covenant University took to Twitter to claim the school's management refused to perform Covid-19 tests on them but chose instead to perform pregnancy and drug tests.
The students claimed that a member of staff told them they don't have to worry about being infected with Coronavirus because "Papa", their General Overseer, is praying for them.

They added that they were left in the rain for hours as the "pregnancy and drug tests" were carried out and their luggage and provisions were soaked.

When asked for proof, other students shared a video of students waiting in the rain with their luggage but they had no concrete proof that pregnancy and drug tests, instead of COVID-19 tests, were carried out. Their only proof was that their blood and urine samples were taken, instead of a swab up their nose.

A roadside mechanic reportedly fled with a customer's car at Nkwola-Eziama community in Imo State, Reports.

According to a gospel music minister, who posted the message on Saturday, September 26, As Obtained By , one Mrs Chinyere Ezeji said that their car broke down along Amala/Eziama road on Friday.

From The Information Gathered By , It was towed to Nkwola-Eziama where a roadside mechanic identified as Chukwudi fixed the car.

Details about the incident are sketchy, however, it was alleged that the mechanic drove off with the car to test run it and never returned.

This analysis have really shown that Nigeria is ready to break without bloodshed. However, in my opinion many claims and counter claims needed to be thoroughly, investigated and all stake holders must be called to a large meeting and agreements on terms and MOUs put in black and white for posterity. I do not agree entirely with the elders absolute assertions, Yorubas does not cower when they make a firm decision. Nitoripe ibi to ba le lati nba omokunrin. Let us not rush into things but follow all due processes and realise our objective of self determination even if it is not perfect. Show me any perfect system in the world today. We can only have effective system but not a perfect one, so let us not be affraid to pull the bull by the horn.
