Personally I've made a lot of friends on nairaland from phone section and we deal very well without ever seeing each other, but I know how skeptical I was at the beginning.

Why enforce a ridiculous price one someone’s item. That to me is a sense of entitlement. Which I don’t understand. I have personally sold things for ridiculous amounts on Nairaland but you can enforce it on people pls. If the price is unfavorable people will ignore the post and move on until you see a deal that matches your pocket.

Secondly, you have can’t tell people to give out their stuff. This sense of entitlement is WRONG. it’s the same way a guy stands on the road and begs you for money because you drive a nice car. You shouldn’t encourage that here. Maybe another thread for beggars and ridiculous prices should be opened.

Thank you very much. I bought a gym for myself, and a fridge for someone, between today and yesterday. I got those things from this thread, so while they stay here trying to bully people into selling ridiculously and against their wish, real deals are ongoing.

I'd keep saying it, only call out people that place ridiculous prices on their goods/items. Not when you see a price that doesn't favor you, you start cussing the seller out.

Even in the market, two things don't necessarily have the same value from different sellers.

You actually have a problem with understanding. And this is not an insult. I'm vehemently against the exorbitant price tags. I'm also saying we should recognize good prices when we see one.

The reason why some people hike prices is because even when they post a very low price, people still call them out or people will still price it anyhow. So they post a price that when you negotiate will still be reasonable to them.

That's my point. Let's protect the sellers too. It's not always about we the buyers. I already bought, and I will still buy.

I understand clearance sales perfectly, and I will also call out any unreasonable seller, but let's be smart when doing that. There are nice people here too and we should protect them too.

By popular demand, expect your ads to be disappearing henceforth so far you fail to include price, location and phone number. All 3 areas are very important. Failure to fail in one of them will have your advert pulled down.

This doesn't make sense sir. By tomorrow this thread would have added about 3 more pages or more. Someone coming to post an ad won't know that it's mandatory to add those things, yet you'd just report his ad? How about you quote him or her and tell them to put those things instead...

I just got something from someone here and I'm really grateful to the guy. His initial price was fair and he still was quite considerate to me.

That's what I've been saying. They shouldn't bully people with prices, especially those that are not even buying. I don't think his price is bad, especially since it's negotiable. You can even negotiate and buy it at 1m or less, but let's not leave sellers vulnerable.

The price is really not my issue, bro. I was majorly concerned with her attitude when she was quoting prices for someone for a property that doesn't belong to her.

Also, remember that this thread doesn't have a price cap. Items of 300k and above can also be sold here. It's not like the thread is for only items of 50k and below.

Meanwhile, just because we buy and sell on a clearance thread doesn't mean everyone here is a lowballer. There are really great deals to be found here. People just want to be greedy by underpricing your property to the barest minimum, then bully you to sell, and later they will sell to someone else for much higher, or they will brag with it. I know some sellers are also silly, those are the ones we should actually tackle.

I've never sold anything here. I've actually bought, and I'm still in some dms to get some stuff, so it's not like I'm being insensitive.

I don't even understand anything you wrote here. So because something is clearance sale, it should be sold for pittance? Someone buys a car for 5m and tries to sell for 2.5m, but you want it for 500k because it's clearance sales?

By your logic, people should only sell things that are probably inferior. Maybe a really bad home theater that looks good, or a lice infested bed, or a tv that has been repaired countless times. That way, it balances out.

The annoying part is that you're here derailing the thread and the serious buyers that understand quality are already in the guy's dm.

150 is still on the high side. You also need to know that you are not dealing with kids. Personally, any seller that hikes his or her price is a scammer to me. If you are ready to sale, then your price should be around 80 to 90...100k max.
