Life without challenges brings no promotion. The Most High is wiser than mankind. He is the great judge of all His creation, and He has instituted reward and punishment in His judgment. He created heaven to be a perfect place and the earth to be an imperfect place. Once you live on this earth, there will be challenging times to test your faith in God. Any time you pass the test, you are promoted and rewarded. The test of our faith is continuous until we finally get to heaven. Dear beloved, God is bigger than your challenges or the problems that confront you. Trust in His Word that if the very hairs on your head are all numbered by Him, then your challenges are not too big for Him to handle. Keep believing in Him and His Word. Hold onto His Word of promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you and that He will come through for you (Hebrews 13:5). Your miracle is at hand. Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!

Making the right choice leads to peace and a fruitful life. We are all faced with making choices on a daily basis. The difference between the mighty and the weak, rich and poor, master and servant, are the choices they make. Dear beloved, it is better to choose wisdom because wisdom is a defense and gives life (Ecclesiastes 7:12). On the other hand, people or nations that have neglected wisdom and relied on weapons of war have destroyed many innocent lives. It is good for people to have weapons to protect themselves or their nation, but weapons shouldn’t be the first resort, because lives are precious to God. Let us use the wisdom of God to dialogue and find other creative ways to bring peace in our society, and God will help us succeed. Hallelujah. You are an Overcomer!

Jesus Christ did not want the disciples of his day and those of today to pray amiss so he gave a format for prayer. First of all, you need to acknowledge God as your Father; meaning you need to have a personal relationship with him. Secondly, worship and praise him, and welcome his presence. Thirdly, ask his will to be done in your life as it is in heaven. Fourthly, ask for your pressing need especially your daily provision. Fifthly, forgive all who have wronged you and ask God to also forgive you for your sins. Sixthly, pray for his power of deliverance from evil and temptation. Finally, ascribe praise unto him. When we about to pray we should have all these at the back of our mind, especially worship/praise, and thanksgiving before our request; as we do these in faith and receive in faith every prayer we make will be made in joy.

The opening scripture throws light on who we are to fear; Jesus Christ exhorted his disciples on many occasions to fear not but on this occasion pointed out who they are to fear. The body is predisposed to various attacks from the devil and his cohorts of darkness but the soul is out of their reach. The only person who has access to both the soul and the body is God; He is the creator of the soul and the body and has power to destroy both in hell. Therefore, the deceived who think hell is a myth should understand that hell is real and God has the ability to destroy them in hell if they don't repent from their sins and make Jesus Christ their Lord. Go ahead and compare your list of what you consider good works to God's list and tell us if by sticking to your own list, you fulfill God's own requirements there.

There is another list of good works specified as the keys to Heaven in Matthew 25 vs 31 - 40. Notice how those are the particular works for which all those who will enter into Heaven will be judged. How many of those have you regularly accomplished in your life? Or do you think God will accept any "good works" offering that comes from you when He returns?

These includes good character, faithfulness, preaching the gospel, healing the sick, charity, demonstrating the power of God etc. When people see these or benefit from them, they will surely glorify the Father in heaven.
