kellystech:yeah, 3mbs for a photo is very large, especially if you intend to share these pics on whatsapp, you end up wasting data. I think my issue is that the native camera app doesnt let us chose the size we want for our pics. Anyway all that was solved by downloading Cameringo camera app, it works like a charm. |
Both have good cameras, if you're not brand conscious, the c9 will do a good job at a fair price. My problem with the c9 is that camera lacks adjustment tools so all its pics are so large (2-5mbs) unless u download a 3rd party app which may not work as effectively as the native app. |
This post is so misleading, I actually doubt if you've held any of these phones... The Zero 3 is not plastic, it's an has a glass body, and it's a gorilla glass. The hot S looks metallic but it's actually mostly plastic Personally I have a c9 but to be fair the hot S has a better design. |
Need for speed most wanted. its an old game(around 2012) but still one of my best. or u can go for real racing if u want something more realistic. |
Lol, that's a camon c8... |
Opistorincos:I don't think it's ugly at all, it lacks sophistication but I think it's quite okay. It actually looks metallic, which I think would've been a good thing if it actually was. |
The tecno W3 has a 4G variant that's slightly more expensive, but sadly that's about the only good thing about the phone, it's other features are so 2013 |
mosjames:L8 plus is not 4G enabled |
Even carlcare won't accept this coz it violates warranty conditions, they will probably ask u to buy it a new motherboard which is almost half the price of a new one. I really don't see why u guys waste your phones like this over useless stuff like custom ROM. |
Dam5reey:moat of those teclast tabs have dual OS so they need the extra RAM... Anyway it all comes down to the pricing at the end of the day, coz u get what you pay for. |
mattmogan88:well if u consider that this is a smaller screen, lower resolution and less processor cores, then I think the battery may last just as long as that on the c9 which has 3000mah. It's only a difference of 500mah, not that big |
Nice. |
I always tell people not to buy phones without readily available spare parts. its for this reason that i cant buy brands like oppo, xiaomi, zte though i know that their phones are of very good quality and fairly priced. |
Xhaka:its not so user friendly, especially in low light settings. its not bad, its just not something to base upon when buying a phone. a fingerprint scanner is much more practical. in other words, its not a big deal. |
Well this is going to be expensive... No doubt ![]() |
Yeah it's overated, not the kind of thing you'd like to use on a daily basis, but it's just the kind of feature I'd use to impress a lady ![]() |
dmcdad:come on, whoever called it a flagship obviously made a mistake. We all know Tecno 's flagship is the phantom series. Don't make a big deal out of nothing. |
In my opinion there's this company called Bull, it has good powerbanks and their capacities are not exaggerated. Oriamo also has some good ones. |
someone made a thread about Tecno haters, and he too listed a good number of fellows |
The zero is clearly a better phone than the c9, especially when it comes to performance. As in it has 3GB of RAM and a 10-core 2.0Ghz processor... End of discussion... And it also has a Gorilla glass protection, which I think is a good addition |
vinyldroid:it's good, but if u have money to spare u can go for some better, something with a better battery and more RAM. Otherwise in its price category it's one of the best deals out there. |
jaggedboi:at the moment, yes you're still on, but there will be no more support for WhatsApp on BB so it will most likely expire in a few months. |
So I was going through gsm arena some days back and I come across this phone the ZTE zmax pro. This phone got a limited release in the USA to a certain phone carrier (don't remember which one) but it's retailing for only 99$ here are the specs. 3G&4G LTE network capacity 6 inch IPS LCD full HD 1080p screen Gorilla glass 3 screen protection Fingerprint sensor Snapdragon 617 octacore processors with adreno 405 GPU 2GB ram, 32GB storage 13mp rear and 5mp front cameras 3400mah battery capacity So what do u guys think. In my opinion if this phone could find its way to Africa, with this price tag it would be the best deal, unless you're not into 6 inch phones. |
Chukzyfcb:multitasking is handled by RAM. A 2.5ghz processor is no good if u have 512mbs of RAM. The processor helps handle heavy apps like games so they can run efficiently without crashing or dropping frame rates. But to run multiple apps at a time(multitask) the important thing is ram. |
jaggedboi:it's a good phone, but no more WhatsApp for u sir |
sorextee:U make a good point. On my side however I have nothing to hide so the govt can go through my phone as much as it wants. |
Godswillnwaoma:well it's cameras are good but like someone said, they lack proper adjustment tools. I also think the selfie camera and the eye unlock thing were hyped for no reason but then again I didn't buy for selfie cameras. I think it's main strengths are in the fact that the ram is 2GB, so smooth operation and I also liked the fact that it's processors were increased to octacore it really makes the gaming good. it obviously heats up after playing games for long but at least not as much as the c8 and h6 that I used earlier. It's display is also very good, a full HD, one of the reasons I bought it. Personally I like the size but I feel like they should have done better with its design. The battery doesn't take me full day but I think that's coz am a heavy user so I have no complaint there. it's charging is kinda fast tho but I never let my phone go below 30% so I don't know how long a full charge takes. |
Thanks for your opinions |
I've been using Nairaland for about 4 months now and I've noticed that there's this issue of people being branded as marketers especially "Tecno". Some nairalanders have gone ahead to make lists of these so called Marketers. I'd like to state for a fact that I love tecno phones, I've used H6, phantom a+, camon c8 and currently c9. I'll admit they're not perfect coz I've had issues here and there but that hasn't deterred my loyalty. Likewise I believe there are those that feel the same way about Chinese brands like injoo, INFINIX, gionee, lenovo, etc.... And of course I've seen loyal users of the big brands like blackberry, Samsung and apple. All these people, whether Chinese brand or not, have one thing in common, they'll do anything to defend their beloved brands and naturally encourage others to join them and buy these phones coz they assume what's good for them is good for everyone else, which to me is OK. I believe it's possible that some of these companies could be having marketers here but I won't make that my business since its not a crime anyway. My question is, at what point does one qualify to be branded a tecno Marketer?? But why should we call someone a tecno Marketer when he showers praise for his phone?? Should we just keep quiet and only come here to complain when our phones get issues?? Don't brands like infinix deserve any praise when a customer is satisfied?? What do we say about people who come here just to bad mouth brands they've never even used?? Personally I was once called a Marketer coz I said in an earlier post that I'd switched from an s5 samsung to a tecno c9 and that I loved it. I'd just like to know your views guys. ![]() |
Leobreezy:looking deeper into his profile I realised he was actually a gionee boy some time last year and early this year.. Lol... This is so funny. He actually discouraged guys from buying tecno phones at some point. |
