The simply reason is lack of quality. It may look and feel good but not built to last for long so the trick is keep chucking out and manipulating specs which will eventually make users dump their old phone as soon as possible.

I like how persistent they have been but they should look closely at quality rather than quantity.

lol, but thats the whole point... Every phone maker will want u to buy another when the latest model is released, they dont care what u do with the previous one. In any case if u have doubts about the phone's quality i advise u do some research about its build, u will see. But in any case u get what u pay for, p6plus may not be as good as the s7 but that doesn't mean its not worth its price tag.

i will agree with u at the end when u say tecno doesn't portray class. Then UK have to ask yourself if youre buying a phone for its productivity or for its class.
People like me who dont give a Bleep about class, status or reputation, we will buy the phone as long as it meets demands like camera, storage build quality, audio quality, display size and resolution processor strength etc.

lol, samsung only uses snapdragon on a few of its high end devices. It has its own processor called exynox that it uses on most phones, even the high end s7 and note series have variants that use exynox not snapdragon.
However if u want to confirm the specs of the j1 mini, check gsmarena you will see, it uses spreadtrum.

not true, it's the j8 thst had this issue but it was corrected with an update.

I hate apple coz it doesn't offer flexibility with its sofrtware, and now it's even complicating hardware by removing headphone jack.

Then i generally dont like phone companies whose spare parts are impossible to get here in africa, especially the numerous chinese companies that mainly do online sales like oppo, cubot, ouiktel, oneplus, xiaomi... Etc. It's like if u own such phones you're on your own, no battery replacements, no screen replacements, no phone covers and glass protectors.

Hello nairalanders, i really need your help.a friend of mine resentfully bought techno camon c9 which was synced with his Gmail account. He mistakenly reset the phone and on restarting the phone, he is to login with his gmail account and password but the system wouldn't recognize his password even though the password is correct. Please anybody with a solution should help.

1st thing is to accept that he forgot his password, and then try one of the various recovery options, otherwise theres no way of forcing google to accept it.
I he'd registered his phone number while opening the account, he will be sent a link to reset his password, its that simple.

Apple like moving at a slow pace because they know they have no competition. And yes fhd and qhd might not be too difderent to the naked eyes, but when u use ur phone for vr then u will clearly see the difference. Even qhd is still not perfect for vr but a lot better than fhd. Also samsung screens stand out,. When u place an s7 and one plus 3 side by side, u will notice the difference. Trust me if apple had made iOS open source and other oems start making iOS phones with qhd, apple will have no choice but to comply. Good business on their part for not making it open source.

Also that 2 phones have the same megapixel doesn't mean they will take the same pictures. Look at the galaxy s6 or even s5... It takes far better pictures than camon c9, u don't need to be a photo aficionado to notice that. Why did Samsung put a 12mp camera on the galaxy s7 and note 7 while the older galaxy s6 had 16mp? Does that mean they are regressing? Hell no. S7 still takes better pictures. That's because they used s better lens and softwsre, and it clearly shows higher megapixel doesn't necessarily mean better pictures.

i agree with u on most things u said here but to be honest c9 has a better camera than s5, especially outdoor pictures, I've had both, i know. As for s6 it's probably slightly better.

you're so true coz even here in Uganda, Tecno has majority share, its stores are all over town.
But Samsung is also equally as strong, only problem is that their marketing is no as good as Tecno's.

yeah it finally unzipped but the game wont play. It just displays a black screen. I've tried it using the ppsspp gold on my phone and the ppsspp on my pc but same story.

what do u mean chinko technology In case u didn't know, companies like tecno simply assemble components made by other companies for instance with the Phantom 6 plus, Amoled screen by samsung, Camera lens by Sony, chipset by Mediatek, speakers by Dolby, etc.
What they do is mainly design the phone and customise the OS.

In any case i don't think its a bad thing to have an iphone aside coz then they have a clear picture of what to aim at and how much improvement needs to be done for tecno to be as good as the top brands.

Almost similar to the phantom 6 plus. Main difference being the chipset, camera and Ram.

Iphone users should understand one simple thing, the problem is not with iphone hardware... Not at all, its true they are fast, responsive, nice design, nice camera, durable material etc... But the deal breaker here is the fact that they're using ios, along with a few other limitations that apple attatches to its devices.
So however fast or powerful an iphone is, however cheap or expensive it may be, some of us android users would rather use a tecno phantom before resorting to anything like an iphone.

One plus 3 normal price is 400$ making it 120knaira and that's without those shipping stuff self...so plus that it fit reach 450# making it 135k....so it might be affordable compared to Samsung or apple buh not to the Chinese...how much is Xiaomi mi5 or meizu pro 6 or honor 8...

The real issue comes when u break the oneplus screen and there's no service centre to take back to, mechanis in town dont have its spares and sending it back abroad for repair is waaaay too expensive. I dont even think u can get protective covers and original oneplus accesories anywhere in town.

There's nothing wow-inducing about these specs. Doesn't even come close to matching the one plus three, much less the yet to be released Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro.

These phones sell only slightly above the quoted price (the Note 2 is billed to sell for $450) of the P6+. The major edge Tecno had is affordability, and if they cannot offer their users that, then, that na OYO.

For the features the device packs, it shouldn't have gone up above N90k, max.

But to be honest, the Phantom 6 is truly much cheaper than the recent phantoms, its the 6+ that i too think is a bit expensive. In my country the phantom 6 is about 200 US dollars, how much is that in nairas.

Samsung phones actually have strong screens but i think the problem is that most of the phones in Africa especially the "Uk used" refurbished phones are tampered with and the gorilla glass pannels are replaced with duplicated cheap ones which easily break.

Whatsapp, facebook, snapchat, twitter, skype, bbm, viber, and now this Allo...

Either way a 2700mah battery feels like a setback. Especially considering that all their previous 5.5 inch devices like c8, L8, J8, C9, and phantom 5 all have at least 3000mah

I'm sure theres no game that the 6 plus wont handle... A helio x20 and Mali T880 GPU, 4GB Ram... Now thats something worth your money.
Anyway lets wait for reviews to come in over the next few weeks.

Yeah, like u saw in the pictures above, the phones are on display in various shops around. But not yet on sale. U can go have a look, check out the camera, design, etc. They most likely wont give u the prices, though i heard that some outlets will let u make a pre-order.
