What's the point of good specs with terrible build quality.

phantom series always have good build quality, unlike the other series from tecno. Also their latest tablets are all of high quality metallic finishing.

H6 bought in late 2014. i still have it, it works but has charging issues.
Then i bought c8 in january this year, it was stolen after about 2 months.
Now i have c9, about 3 months going strong...

However my next phone will either be a phantom 7 next year, or i may try a different brand like Infinix or LG.

So going by ur logic we shudnt believe in phone specification released by the phone company itself. We need to use the phone first. Nawa ooo the struggle is real on this site.

i think he meant to say that the the capacity of the battery doesnt necessarily dictate the duration of its usage. In some cases a 2700mah battery may perform just as good as a 3200mah if the processor, screen and OS use up less power.

Will u be returning it after a while?

According to this link you gave, the mediatek only has better multi-core performance. in general the 820 is still better.

You are not entirely correct. The LG G3 got the marshmallow update several months ago and in a few weeks, it would get the nougat update. The LG G3 might be a 2014 phone, but it punches it's weight way above any product from tecno. That being said, specs-wise, I think the latest addition to the Phantom family looks a daunting prospect.

only advantage the lg has is that it has better screen display with more pixels and OS upgrades. Everything else, the phantom wins... Battery, Camera, processor, GPU, ram, build material, storage.

SMH, please explain the area you can compare mediatek x20 to snapdragon 820,what the mediatek x20 competes with is the midranger snapdragon 652.

Actually the x20 and x25 beat the snapdragon 801 and 810 but the 820 is still more powerful. However the x30, which will be featured on next year's phones is better than the 820, i saw a site where its benchmark scores were tested.

A friend wants to get the phantom 6, so i ask those who own it and have been using it for a considerable time tell me if theres any issues faced so far. And also how is battery performance since it was reduced to 2700mah. And does it heat up so much during usage coz i know metalic phones get hot faster.

In any case, being honest is key in all areas.
I've had issues where l users complain of RAM-related issues. I've had to install easy solution apps for them because explaining the how and why would complicate matters and probably make them hate their phone brands.

However, my opinion is from a point that to whom much is given, much is expected. Why equip a 5.5in phone with such low power battery knowing how HD display zaps the battery juice?

Why equip a phone with new generation features with old generation details? Is the aim to promote the brand name or give consumers a quick ejaculation and make away with their hard earned albeit cheap money?

It costs nothing for them to make an honest phone. Trying to shut a truth down only stops the messenger, not the truth.

to be honest, 1gb ram is good enough for daily use, it comes down to how the phone's os optimises that ram. I once had a c8 and its 1gb ram was so laggy, however on the phantom a+ which also uses 1gb ram operation was smooth.
And for the battery issue, 3000mah is quite ordinary these days, but then again for that price range its worth the money, a moderate user can use it for most of the day.

Ive had a chance to use one and i must say there are a few setbacks like the 1GB ram and the usual 1.3GHz processor.

However the it makes up with a fingerprint scanner, good camera, slim body with metalic frame and 4G support.

In my country its at approximately 100 dollars. So i dont know about u guys in naija. But i'm guessing about 35-40k

I play on mobile data sometimes... I've been playing on mobile data since yesterday... And my phone doesn't heat neither does my battery drain twice as fast.

Although some games will not play some features if you're not on wifi e.g MC 5 won't play multiplayer except on wifi.

my problem with online games is that they need a stable connection, they make the phone heat up fast and they drain battety twice as fast. Theyre best played over good Wi-Fi, but on mobile data it becomes a problem.

yes, it's cool.. It was just 59mb when i downloaded it. It's an online game but it's worth it and you can only play with real people also you only get to play your team's attack chances not the full match. It's hard ehn

I think it doesn't really matter if the phones become cheaper or not, they'll be providing jobs, giving youths skills and even paying more taxes

4G is really fast I'll admit, but to me i dont think its worth stressing over, especially if you're the type of person that is trying to minimize data usage. Its good for people doing large downloads of about 1GB and above.
4G network drains battery so fast, I'd prefer it on a computer modem.

I'd advise you not to buy these used phones. But if u should, then be VERY careful...
Before paying make sure u check the following
*Earphone jack
*original Battery if its a removable one
*charging port
*Earpiece and mouthpiece
*Test its internet coz some phones may be stuck on 2g network.
*wifi and hotspot routers.

Remember u wont get a manufacturer warranty and im sure u wont get original accessories but make sure u check the phone thoroughly.

I Just used a torchlight to point well at the screen to enable me see and then i increased the brightness. That's all.

lol, but direct light to the screen should instead make it harder to see. Anyway personally my c9 never came with such an issue. Only saw it on the j8.

Just go to carlcare service centre, they'll help u out. Or ij can try doing a hard reset but it seems u know nothing about doing it.

In my honest opinion I have problem with how tecno phones fades from the market, loses its value in no time and I think this is caused by the high influx of different models. They have to limit how they chunk out phones without significant improvement.

Let the Phantom 6 remain their flagship phone for the next 8 to 10 months before they release something Better but no they will release another one in 2months with P6 specs and 40MP camera.

are u implying that tecno may release a better phone shortly after releasing p6plus?? Or that between the release of phantom 5 and phantom 6 there was a better phone than the phanto 5 released. As far as i know their flagships come once a year around October or september.
