bealuv: Hi OP....i have someone who has about 500,000naira and wants to go into a business in which he ll have monthly income of over 60,000naira...so he asked me for business ideas and coming across your thread i decided to bring this up here...i would really appreciate whatever ideas you have

Over 10% return monthly would be very hard and I can't think of anything, if he had more capital I could give some ideas but 500k is small to start a business

olushowunm: @NOSA2.... YOU DON'T JUST SAY SOMETHING JUST FOR THE SAKE OF IT! YOU ARE IGNORANT OF SUCH STATEMENTS... WHO IS ASKING ANYBODY TO GIVE HIM MONEY HERE WHY DO THEY ALLOW NIGERIANS TO OPEN FOREX ACCOUNT, IF THATS BENEFITS OF 419??

@OBADIAH... YOU NEED TO BE ENLIGHTNED THOUGH I ADMIRE YOUR PATRIUOTIC SPIRIT, BUT WHEN YOU ARE NATIVE OF NIGERIA AND CITIZEN OF THE WORLD... YOUR MONEY CAN BE MOVED TO ANYWHERE YOU FELT FAVOURABLE TO YOU... YOU DON'T JUST SIT AND WATCH IRS TO MILK YOU DRY IF YOU TAKE CAPITAL GAINS OR WITHOLDING TAX...
AND WE ALL KNOW THAT NO ECONOMY IS 100% FAIL-PROOF, SO ITS BETTER TO HAVE 50% OF YOUR NETWORTH OUTSIDE THE SHORES OF NIGERIA....

It's because of posts like this that I stopped contributing to Nairaland. Anyone need my advise can always contact me on twitter

obadiah777: YOU DUMB DUCK, CAPITAL FLIGHT IS FOOLS LIKE YOU THROWING YOUR MONEY AT FOREIGN STOCKS. DONT YOU KNOW ITS ALL A SCAM AND AN INSIDE GAME FOR THE SELECT TO TAKE EVERYONES MONEY ? I GUESS YOUR GREEDY A-Z-Z- THINKS YOU WILL HAMMER BY BUYING FOREIGN STOCKS ?

Foreign markets give you access to assets you can only dream of in Nigeria
Investment / Re: How To Buy Stocks From Foreign Countries? by nosa2(m): 9:46am On Mar 23, 2013
Anyone who tells you that it's possible to buy foreign shares from Nigeria is a lair! Any website that promises to do so is a scam. The only way to open any foreign brokerage account is if you have a foreign bank account and a foreign address or alternatively if you have a foreign account but no address then you would have to use a service like internaxx but they won't deal with Nigeria (benefit of 419).

Politics / Re: Governors Are Running Nigeria Broke- Okonjo-iweala by nosa2(m): 9:02pm On Apr 13, 2012
If the economy collapses the rich won't suffer
because they're heavily invested abroad, if there is
civil uprising the rich still won't suffer cause they
have houses and cash abroad. So anyway way you
look at it the rich would never suffer. Look at the
boko haram crisis how many rich people are dying? The country belongs to the middle class,
they're the ones that'll be wiped out by economic
collapse, the poor are already eating from dustbins
so they really don't have a lot to lose, but the
blackberry generation that feeds from pay check to
pay check and is investing heavily in our Nigeria denominated pension system has a lot to lose if
the economy crashes. Right now this seems like an academic exercise,
let's all bash the government! It's all their fault,
they're thieves and demons but very soon many
people reading this would start to feel the effects
and I would genuinely feel sorry for them when
that time comes.
Business / Re: Nigeria Invests In The Yuan- Good Move? by nosa2(m): 7:58pm On Mar 02, 2012
The move is irrelevant because the yuan is based on the dollar so its the same as keeping your money in dollars. The only benefit is that the yuan is under valued so whenever it finds it's real value you'll gain a few more dollars but by moving to the yuan you're still saving in dollars cause the Chinese save in dollars. If it was Swiss francs or gold then that'll be a different story
