I think shifting significantly from ngx now will be a big mistake but then it depends on the companies ones have in his/her portfolio.

I will rather continue to stay away from energy stocks coz it's been driven by speculation currently until coast is clear.

I don't actually understand banking space like that so my exposure here is very minimal.

Consumer good company success is hinged on macros, I will stay away from the majority here for now.

I will rather stay with inflation edged companies on ngx with structural solutions n financial services companies as I believed they have better access n expertise to make good economic decisions.

We watch the progress of the conflict but sincerely nothing much to be scared about as a Nigerian for now.

I have been thinking about the impact of it n will continue to as new events unfolds.
lets have the conversation there

I’ve just shared my latest thoughts on the current global macro environment and its specific implications for the average Nigerian investor.

In the post, I dive into how shifting geopolitical alliances and the global energy transition are creating a unique set of challenges and opportunities for those of us navigating the local market. Whether you're focused on the NGX or looking to diversify globally, there’s a lot to unpack regarding where the market is headed.

Please take a read and share your thoughts. I’d love to hear how others are positioning their portfolios in light of these trends

Your victim-blaming is very stupid and insensitive. When did this election you talked about take place? Over 18 years ago. Is that what you areusing to judge their annihilation that took place recently? If you are subjected to the humiliation of military occupation and the indignity of being kept in an open-air prison with the IDF on one side and armed HAMAS on the left, what would your choices be?
There is a saying I heard recently that I really love... Fxxk Around and Find Out.

When you are voting extremists into power you are playing with fire. Fire can cook correct BBQ fish or it can burn your skin. Anyone wey you see you carry

Lol, how and where was this vote cast? So if Tinubu and his government decide to commit crimes, would it be justified in your eyes to kill innocent people on the street? Isn’t that delusional?
You no know before? The people are ultimately responsible for the decisions of their leaders. Who did the dying in Nazi Germany? Who did the dying in Biafra? Who is doing the dying in Russia and Ukraine?

With regards to the elections look at the link below

That is fair, but...

Israel has killed over 50,000 innocent Palestinians in the recent wars, mostly women and children. A recent incident involved Israeli soldiers shooting a young boy and watching him bleed to death over several minutes; the report is still on the BBC website. How do you feel about that?
The people of gaza voted for Hamas knowing fully well that Hamas planned to attack Isreal. They are not innocent.

Votes have consequences.

If you are confident that the Iran Israel/US conflict will positively impact the NGX then put your money where your mouth is by buying as much Aradel stock as possible. You're sure to get a quick 20 to 30% gain in the next 2 to 4 weeks.

But!!!

Know that Nigeria is a hopeless country led by the worst set of politicians, so Nigeria as a country may not immediately benefit from increased crude oil prices driven by this conflict because the Nigerian government has formed a terrible habit of selling future crude oil productions at terrible prices in form of forward contracts.

So, most of the crude oil that'll be available during this period may already have been sold in the past
Nigeria is not a country in the world, we are a glorified village. We shouldn't even be considered a city

Do you realize they were in the middle of negotiations? They were supposed to continue on Monday before the U.S. and Israel began their attack. How do you expect Iran to ask for a ceasefire when Israel does not honor its word?

I think it will last for weeks. The U.S. and Israel underestimated the regime’s flexibility; the plan appeared to be a quick overthrow of the government. Israel alone has fired more than 2,000 missiles at Iran in just two days, roughly the number it previously fired over several weeks. The U.S. has reportedly launched about 900, aiming to neutralize Iran’s military quickly. That did not happen. Iran is still launching heavy missile attacks at Israel.

I agree that Iran has suffered serious damage, but the regime is very much alive and operational. This war is likely to continue. Israel will probably keep pressing until it reaches its limits, after which it may use indirect channels to move toward a ceasefire. So I expect it to last at least another week or more.
So long as the leaders that killed protesters to stay in power are no longer alive to see the end I am happy

GeneralDae:
“ Khamenei is dead. Good.

But I have family in Iran. My dad is there right now. And I'm not celebrating yet. Here's why.

Iran built the most layered contingency plan on Earth for this exact moment. Four levels of succession for every key position. Pre-authorized military strikes. Regional commanders who don't need orders from Tehran to act.

As you read this, there is already a new Supreme Leader. We just don't know who.

This isn't Maduro. The government didn't get overthrown. The system absorbed the hit. That's what it was designed to do.

Every credible intel assessment says the same thing: a post-Khamenei Iran is more likely to get harder, not softer. More IRGC. More dangerous. Potentially worse for the Iranian people than Khamenei himself.

Don't breathe yet. There's a long way to go.“

I'm quite sure ACCESSCORP's management is supressing the price movement so that the dividend yield would seem big and/or they are still buying.
What methods do you think they are using to suppress it?

First Bank is ₦50+ while ACCESSCORP is close to ₦28 .

ACCESSCORP is superior to First Bank.

The reality is that if you were able to buy early you won't be complaining.

Mention the exact rule that Zichis broke.

If the bids are genuine, the company is exxonerated. Only if the investigation shows that they were deliberately building up fake bids(in collaboration with/through their broker(s)), only then could you blame them.
Exactly. If there was no collusion between buyers and sellers then they didnt do anything.

ANYWAY!!!! Zenith rising; Ellah and Japaul falling, all is right with the world.

Stealing is stealing, likewise manipulation is manipulation. A lot of stocks are trading at their all time high without justification to their fundamentals. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. If you punish one without punishing the rest because the rest applied common sense while manipulating their prices, then I don't get.
Unless one sees the trading book and can see which parties are trading in the stock, it is advised not to judge to conclusion. I personally don't believe the stock was deliberately manipulated. It could have just been a unique set of circumstances that led to an unusual situation. There is nothing illegal in selling your stock in batches so long as you are not working in concert with the buyer/buyers.
