Not done any analysis today. Infact I've decided to brace myself for the losses ahead. How much loss can I really take?
AdvertsRe: Follow An Above Average Nse Investor On Twitter by nosa2(op): 10:36pm On Mar 26, 2011
follow me on twitter and I'll answer all your questions.

NEM is an excellent stock but buy only @50k. The dividend yield is good so even if it does not rise you'll be consoled by dividends (even thou I strongly believe it would fly once market picks up)

I had it in my portfolio but sold and bought aiico not because it was a bad stock but because dividends aren't due for some time so plenty of time to re enter.

i'm not too keen on goldlink, thou its got potential. I believe its best to concentrate in order to maximise returns

Portfolio lost full points today and all my holdings are on offer which means most likely more losses tomorrow. Didn't bother to call broker

I really doubt if the stock was sold today, guess I'll have to cancel the sale and ride out the storm

@Beaf

At last, we are about to get somewhere besides/without depending on good or mere 'luck' in your good judgement cheesy but on good/sound 'idealogy' grin, perhaps like the PDP smiley.

Pls are you privy to the 'ideology' of any of the political Parties in Nigeria most importantly the ruling PDP? cheesy If you do, pls publicise/share some of their earth shaking wisdom/excepts with us. Thanks in advance.
The PDP is a party that promotes free enterprise, and privatisation as solution to the problems facing the Nation, they can be compared to the Republicans, this is very similar to the action congress thou Buhari has expressed a more socialist view
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Running Mate: Bakare Decides Today ! by nosa2(m): 12:47am On Feb 01, 2011
Buhari and Bakare is actually a Good combination but the problem is 1, their party is just too irrelevant and when compared to PDP's reach they dont stand a chance. 2, Goodluck's ascend to power sounds/was too miraculous and Nigeria being such a religious country has been looking for such a miracle and their campaign team is exploiting that to the max. And finally 3, GEJ/Sambo are actually the best candidates out there, Ribadu and Buhari have previously shown a lack of respect for authority and I think if they're given power their ego's might get the best of them
Christianity EtcRe: God Did Not Create The Universe by nosa2(op): 7:36pm On Sep 03, 2010
The concept of good vs evil, the punishment of evil doers after death and the reunification of loved ones is a necessary ingredient in the control of any society with out these elements life itself would be meaningless, morality would be out the window and civilisation as we know it would be non existent, so basically even if the evidence points to a world without God I believe its prudent for people to have their God's so at the very least they have a purposeful existence.

Thanks, i started the other thread then noticed this just now.
Its a real shame that this sort of behavior happens online, this is actually the second time this is happening to my threads but what these moderators dont realise is that they are slowly killing the forum, i've personally decided to stop starting threads on this forum after all there are better/more matured forums out there (www.stockmarketnigeria.Com comes to mind) and i'll better treatment there.

Christianity EtcGod Did Not Create The Universe by nosa2(op): 8:56pm On Sep 02, 2010
When it came to the creation of
the Universe, God just wasn't
necessary.
That's the conclusion renowned
scientist Stephen Hawking has
made in his latest tome, "The
Grand Design," set to hit book
sellers next week.
"It is not necessary to invoke
God to light the blue touch
paper and set the Universe
going," Hawking writes, according
to an excerpt featured in
London's The Times.
The Big Bang was a natural
event which would have
happened without the help or
involvement of God, he argues.
"Because there is a law such as
gravity, the Universe can and will
create itself from nothing,"
Hawking writes.
"Spontaneous creation is the
reason there is something
rather than nothing, why the
Universe exists, why we exist,"
he says.
The discovery of other planets
and solar systems outside of our
own, which has increased since
the early 1990s, helped shape
Hawking's belief that the earth
and it's neighbors were not
divinely developed.
"That makes the coincidences of
our planetary conditions – the
single sun, the lucky combination
of Earth-sun distance and solar
mass – far less remarkable, and
far less compelling as evidence
that the Earth was carefully
designed just to please us human
beings," he writes.
Scientists, including Albert
Einstein, generally did not rule
out the involvement of a higher
being when it comes to the
creation of the universe. Even
Hawking did not exclude the
possibility in his earlier book, "A
Brief History of Time."
Isaac Newton, who developed the
theory of gravity, historically
argued that his science could
only explain so much of the
universe's behavior, but not its
creation.
"Gravity explains the motions of
the planets, but it cannot
explain who set the planets in
motion," he wrote.
Hawking retired as Lucasian
Professor of Mathematics at
Cambridge University last year
after 30 years, a position once
held by Newton.
