Really. ..a university should help someone with a drug problem. You realise that there ought to be special rehabilitation camps like how it's done abroad.

You should empathize. It's a poor decision, but most people are slaves to illogical traditions, customs, and familial/societal opinions that it becomes very difficult for many women to take a bow. You need to be in a family meeting or listen to a phone call where the woman is being convinced to stay after an episode of abuse, it is shockingly persuasive.

Aside the culture, there is little support in Nigeria for victims of domestic violence. There's no government hotline that most people know of and there are few if any DV centers around. The UK has the NDV hotline and there are thousands of centers sprawled across the country.

It's nice and okay to think everyone has the same willpower as yourself, but they don't. And as much as those who stay should be blamed and continually warned to get out before it's too late, I think there should still be some empathy.

Most people CHOOSE to be slaves to these illogical traditions /cultures yet often berate those who also choose to walk out.

So in the end, with so much growing awareness and corpses of domestic violence. It becomes a life or death situation- Anyone who ends up choosing death to "save face" should also be held responsible for his/her choice.

I know what I'm saying oh....to my sisters I repeat the same thing! The way we can be so desperate to remain in abusive marriages in Nigeria is no longer funny- someone here (reading) will still CHOOSE to be in such situation. We are yet to recover from the Bilyaminu case and now this one.....

Anyone (man or woman)who WILLINGLY chooses to remain in an abusive relationship whatever the reason should understand that he/she puts his life at stake.

I do not empathise with such person.

This is true....if you read closely Exodus 1v 17 . The Hebrew midwives feared God and did not do what Pharaoh had commanded. They assisted in delivery but lied to Pharaoh that the women delivered before their arrival.

In our world today, I laugh when I hear women who insist on having vaginal delivery against medical counsel quoting Hebrew women who gave birth unaided.

There'sno metaphysical here! This is a proven disorder -We shouldn't spiritualise anything.

Don't use your mama's death as an excuse, i lost my mum at a very tender age, nobody to lean on.. i fought so many demons and still remained sane.

We all react to death of a parent differently! I honestly can relate to her story-I also lost my dad as a child and then watched how his family dragged us for all the money/property he had. I bottled up so much anger and pain...and became my one woman mopol.

It took proper guidance and psychological help in my 20s to ease me of all the pain I had bottled up from my teenage days.
It's just unfortunate that she has to fight her demons on live TV. .....but really who doesn't have any demons!

Clear case of Anencephaly. .it's advised that women expecting to conceive should take Folic Acid.

Also go for your pre-natal when pregnant. I won't be surprised if the mother didn't seek medical support at the early stage of pregnancy. Plus it is often diagnosed during ultra sound.

Everyday I watch cartoons. I love the look and individual style. My dream is to make a cartoon show in Nigeria. I already have ideas so far but I'm starting a comic first because I don't have enough people or money to start the cartoon. I already have a title for the show. It's called Narcanis. So far, Narcanis is about a man named Eli, he lived in solitude. He drowns himself in drugs and alcohol. One day he find himself unconscious. When he woken up, he noticed he was being stalked. He was kidnapped by a man named Cree. Cree wanted Eli to follow him on an adventure to stop his people from being oppressed.
So far, thats a summary of the first episode.
Right now I'm not living in Nigeria but I would love to make a cartoon show when i visit. I also have a production name called Mayhem Studios

Far from it....I'm so many miles away from Nigeria that I really can't be bothered about her story. I have benefited so much from fact based and truthful inspirational stories abroad not all this our Once I was average then God did it for me and now I am wealthy.

I'm sorry but what stops Nigerians who want to give inspirational talks for the young ones to come out and state in clear terms how they made it. In this case,along the lines of
