The early years of the prophets battles may have been defensive but as hi army grew and expanded he went on the offence and attacked and conquered not just the Arab world but swaths of territories in southern-Asia and his followers eventually took the campaign by the sword into Africa through North-Africa, dislodging the Byzantine authorities and then spreading further in-land into Africa.
I am not interested in the veracity or mendacity of the statement of the person you quoted and replied, but as a student of Islamic history (surprise? ) I felt the need to correct this absolute distortion of history.....

Is Katsina state not part and parcel of Nigeria? Is Sharia law in Nigeria greater than our constitutional laws? Is Islam the sole religion in Katsina? Are all Katsina state people Muslims? Is the Kastina state government the government of only Muslims? Is the Sharia not regulated by law?
Is it not bound by the provisions of our constitution? Is the operation of Sharia law not itself regulated by section 1(3) of the 1999 constitution of Nigeria? Was the fund used by the state to build the university pooled by the muslim community?
