Why put so much effort to destroy someone you claim will help to reduce PDP votes in the east?

I've seen many times in the news, where Peter Obi's "organic" support groups have been threatening PDP delegates on how they should vote. It shows their level of ignorance.

Let me put it plain, the PDP is using direct primary elections, meaning the aspirant with the highest vote will become the flagbearer of the party. If Peter Obi cannot amass the highest votes he won't be the PDP's flagbearer which is most likely going to happen.

However, since his supporters claim they are so important and can shake the political space, they should along with Obi decamp to another party that will happily accept him and make him their candidate and then win the election.

PDP remains one.
No one candidate is greater than the party!

Majority of the people calling for the scheme to be scrapped are people who already served.

The prospect of meeting several graduates from different universities, the allure of being in a new place with new people and most importantly the promise of unrestricted socialization sex is just too enticing for people who haven’t served to want it canceled.

For Delta, even though Delta North is close to Anambra, he'll get 10% maybe from here. For the Urhobos which is Delta Central, forget the fight btw Ibori and Okowa, Obi won't get upto 15%. I grew up in Ughelli which boosts of the highest population in Delta. I'm Delta South which is between Ijaw, Itsekiri and Isoko, he will get sympathy votes from town areas of Isoko and Itsekiri mainly warri. Forget the Ijaw part, he won't see votes there. The Peter Obi's tsunami cannot be wished away;It had taken Nigeria by storm through the social media and have gradually began to spring forth at grassroot level. The youths in their overwhelming numbers are worthy ambassadors of the Take Back Nigeria Movement.

Inspite of Peter Obi's growing popularity,alot remains to be done,if he must bulldoze his way all through to Aso Villa. He will do well but his 'best' won't get him Nigeria's most coveted seat.

As it stands today I'm not sure Peter Obi can win any state or region CONVINCINGLY. His home base, the south East had always been PRO-PDP from the onset, even APC commands a sizeable followership here,and have two states in Imo and Ebonyi under their party.So the SE will be a battleground.A free for all fight. Votes will be shared between PDP,APC and LP.

Also the issues of high voters apathy and IPOB declaration of no election im Biafra will hinder Peter Obi's aspiration.

Obi may eventually win all SE states except Enugu who is likely to be won by PDP,but how much marginal difference is being considered?
How much damage will it do to Tinubu's chances? Atiku will bear the brunt of Obi's emergence as SE was on lockdown for him until Obi came on board.

Voter apathy has been cured by Buhari's years of rule. No one wants repeat mistake. Voters apathy has also been cured by hope. Hope in a presidential candidate that appears to be able to change things. Make no mistake, people are excited to vote again.
