Good day guys, I applied for a visit visa (online route)for my sister and her son to go visit er husband studing in Canada since 5th of July till now,no response responce from CIC,could it mean something is wrong with the application or what ?

Processing times is now 71days. An increase of 2 days. Looks like its slowing down with incidental massive refusals in the study section.

Did you get a notification when eligibility review started?

I think they took their time to scrub off some information from the GCMS. I hear they normally do that.

The notes speak of incentives. My mad mind feels that it's a connection with your fiance's family. I guess we will find out with this second application.

Whatsapp is quite secure. However the government usually has a backdoor access to almost all social media platforms and mobile phones.

Where do they normally issue their visit/tourist visa? Some people said Ghana, some said Lagos, some said London, and now the attached screenshot is showing Kenya. Confused!

I think they move applications around depending on the workload. So far I have seen Paris, London, and Nairobi processing our applications.

No one can really say for now. Submitted my paper based since 29th of July. No update yet. Just keeping my fingers crossed. Patience is the key word here. Anything anyone say now is based on assumption. All the best

Hopefully processing times will stop going up in the next few weeks. As for now....

In addition, CIC uses both PROJECTED and HISTORICAL methods to calculate processing times.

PROJECTED is based on the number of current applications and how quickly they can process 80%. This system is used for PR applications. 

HISTORICAL is based on how long it took to process 80% of applications in the past. TRV falls under this category. 

According to data available from 2017-2018, CIC didn't meet the 80% target. They were only able to meet 66% of which 4/5 was around 22days processing time.

I have read through the thread but did not see any related post. Please advice.

The first is actually imm5257e and the second is imm5257b.

There are background questions in imm5257e that requires you to fill Imm5257b if you answer yes to any of the questions.

Also there's a section that captures travel history in imm5257b.

However on the 5th of July the embassy requested for a bank ticket and password saying the bank statement I submitted is fraudulent, closing account 6 million Naira. I was a bit scared, but man remained strong.

Congrats. This development is worrisome. Is it that the banks refuse or delay to acknowledge the account statement leading CIC to believe that the statements are fraudulent?

Or were the bank statements printed via online portal? Or were they illegible due to compression? Plenty questions.

(1) How many months visa or years Canada issue for conference? It depends on the VO.

(2) As I don't live in Nigeria but I will be in Nigeria soon, so can I apply from Nigeria and can I use some of my Nigerian documents ties? You should apply from where your ties are stronger

(3) Can I apply and get a reply within 3 weeks with paper application in Nigeria? Not sure. However summer is fully loaded and processing times is 64 days when you apply from Nigeria.

(3) Do they issue paper application conference visa in Nigeria or London? Your application may even land in France given the volume of applications this period.

I have read cases where the applicant sent a Case Specific Enquiry + an email on same issue and they asked the applicant to submit the passport to their embassy in the country where the applicant is currently visiting.

So you can do same. Send a Case Specific Enquiry + an email when you are ready.
