Have told them countless time to be patient. Some candidates here are already staff of DPR as your APLs letters are well typed and signed.

MISSION OF DPR.

To ensure sustainable development of the Nigeria's Oil and Gas resources across the value chain FOR OUR STAKEHOLDERS through effective regulations, while entrenching world class professionalism, accountability and transparency.

I drop this to enlighten you how indespensable STAKEHOLDERS are in DPR business and in Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria.

E.G,
Same stakeholders gang up to unseat Mr. Andrew Obaje as DPR director partly because of same recruitment in 2011 because he didn't play by their rules.

That was how Obaje slot and other candidates on merit list were removed by the newly appointed director. Some of you here are privileged to work with stakeholders so you know how they guide their interest. Don't cultivate your own failure. Be patient.

It's on advice mood to you publishers.
@Xtruzz,
I want to ask What is your stake in this recruitment at the moment? Not necessary in the taught that you are a Godfather candidate.

The rate at which you have been dishing out Infos (since the 2nd week of October failure and mention of publication) in defence of Mr Shakur and the purported merit list leaves much to be clarified on.

1. You are the only person that knows Mr Shakur's whereabout always not in the office and His phone number is only for WhatsApp and always switched off. Can you in the spirit of been selfless as you have claimed tell us who are the merit candidates whose letters are already typed and signed along with yours as you have said?

2. As you have made it a point to defend the upcoming so-called merit list at all cost, Can you in all honesty tell us what have you done in support of even getting the plight of Hopefuls, you are claiming selfless service for, known to Mr Shakur? I guess you can as well tell us what finally happened to the cake if Mr Shakur was made aware of such gesture since you said he was not around and didn't see it?

Are you surprised why the questions are directly linking you to Mr Shakur? Don't be, it's either you know Him and hear from him or you are playing an instructed format as it must not affect your confirmed slot, for yourself alone, and not for the good of the general hopeful as you are sounding.(I may be wrong, I apologise, kindly clarify my points).

Your before 1st November info and wait till 31st October is still active, I just wait to hear what next you will dish out after then.

All the best.

It is the same process I followed. There wasn't any way to distinguish between fresh passport and passport renewal.
Yes your details are still in their system.
Thanks. I was actually wondering why the capture again since it's renewal and details on the system.

Lastly, as other documents (birth cert, LGA cert, guarantors, etc) are not needed to be submitted for renewal, If I don't have the original expired passport with me at the moment where I am, can I go with a copy of the data page? (For renewal ohhh).

@chygoz3, I have gone through the site on my mobile device and can't see where to navigate renewal of passport. Started the step 1 to see if it will give option for renewal but the step 2 form is showing details for a new passport, I had to stop and get clarification.

Though my passport has expired for more than 5years now, are my details still in their system? Please clarify.

Thanks for the good work you are doing.

Polchiz:
My advice for the planned publication:

1. Let it be a plea and nothing but a plea. We have to beg DPR Management and The petroleum ministers (Buhari and Ibe Kachukwu) to help us and bring the recruitment to a successful end.

2. We should not say anything to implicate Mr. Ahmad Rufai Shakur and Mordecai Ladan. It is wrong to spit on the plates that you eat from.

3. In our own interest, we must not accuse DPR of nepotism.

4. We MUST use corrier service and deliver the letter to the two major players instead of going public.

In summary, the essence of the publication is that we have waited for too long (2 years). It is almost 4 months since the first batch were contacted and we beg them to release the remaining appointment letters.

Most importantly, we MUST deliver this letter privately to the two major players, Alhaji Rufai Shakur and Mordecai Ladan via corrier service instead of going public.
You have spoken well. Opinions vary, and this have been suggested too earlier on. It can be an alternative middle ground between the going public and continuous waiting proposals.

With the way some are acting on opinions different from theirs you will wonder what really their hidden motives are. While they conveniently accuse others of wrong, they remain saints.

Come on guys... It's just a few days away.
Now tell us, What difference is that 31st day with tomorrow, or next tomorrow that is loved so much and letters will be released?

And then if 31st is not it then it indicates what exactly?

Because some don't want to wait any longer they are tagged selfish, I wonder what they would be called if they don't wait till before December based on your latest info? huh

Please allow this small shaking to settle before shaking again grin grin
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by notindome(m):
For the people that have suddenly become saints and tagged those working on a publication as selfish why not just wait peacefully without insulting and let others do go ahead with theirs? Is it when it is already public that they will now be offered stick and carrot? The last guys were on solo moves and they did what they did at the end which wasn't what we expected.

All of a sudden everybody is vomiting out info up and down. The leaked list is now confidently tagged as merit list, so since there are infos of replacements, more time can be great to finalize the runnings while the letter jeopardizes this plan. So do everything possible to buy time. Na so? This is not selfish abi?

For the record, all those in support of the letter have waited as well till this moment and there is every justification for it. You that is asking to wait, but will support a publication after this week and nothing happens, is not selfish? It looks even kind of selfish because someone might be seeing the move as blocking His/Her plans. If not I don't see why the hostility because of a legitimate step to take to atleast know what is really on ground.

I have said it that we just need to avoid an individual championing the cause, it's a collective effort that definitely all varying opinions for or against the move should be considered not making it sound like your view to wait is the best. The truth is at the stage we are what will happen will happen whether we wait or not. Stay on your lane and wait if it suites you and stop the saintly sermons of tagging the publication as selfish.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by notindome(m):
From June when the letters started dropping till date, what is the difference of these many days that have passed and tomorrow or next tomorrow? Those days had 5 moons or 6 suns?

So the waiting that have not generated any positive outcome, that we have been uncertain about it and looking for info up and down, suddenly we want to subtly try using a letter that is when some people have seen a vision and are certain that it will jeopardize chances? But we have been looking for info up and down and stressing Marvel.

The only advice is for us to have one voice, not individuals wanting to go public individually. Any day that we collectively agree and letter is ready it can go ahead. That's my opinion. What will now be the difference between Monday and Friday or 31st October? Waiting that we have waited, passed even the recent wait till 1st/2nd week october nothing happened. Haba! But to try what the last Hopefuls did we are seeing vision that DPR will cancel the recruitment and it will jeopardize chances, insulting up and down. Calm down guys.

May God see us through in whatever way it decides to be. Amen.

God bless you. We have begun the race against time. I’m not sure if some people read what they type, because it puts a big question mark on where their loyalty lies. We talking about consequences, before now has the common man benefited in any way?

Some said this publication would be swept under the carpet, I laugh. If I don’t know anything about Mr President, I know he can be quite pragmatic. Nothing he hates more than someone causing him more problem than necessary.

Especially in the “harmattan” political atmosphere he is experiencing no telling the number of “his trees” this spark would burn down.

I’m just wondering why we allowed ourselves to be handicapped to not do anything till now. Allowing ourselves to be insulted by DPR’s audacity to issue numerous APLs to stakeholders while leaving us in limbo.

Only God knows the number of slots that are presently available for the common man after stakeholders has taken the lion share. Imagine a handful of people holding thousands of us ransom because we have no political connections nor an influential sponsor. We are tired and we are not asking for too much; end this recruitment now.
As I said in one of my posts, though late, we will still commit our resolve to go public to faith and trust God that it will end in our favour. You can imagine the time from June till now and the level of substitutions and replacements that must have defaced the supposed merit list and the notion is that someone is protecting merit candidates by giving more time for what exactly?

As it is now, what they have planned to do they will still do, whether we wait or not. Point is let's be United in whatever step we want to take and let it be known by everyone who cares to partake that it is a collective effort not the protest by our colleagues who took the selfish route in the end.

1. President Buhari is the Minister of Petroleum, whose office directly oversees the DPR.

2. President Buhari is running for a tightly-contested re-election, mostly on the basis of "transparency, integrity" e.t.c.

3. This DPR recruitment so far stinks of irregularities, insincerity, favoritism, nepotism & outright corruption, while the agency is being overseen by "Mr. Integrity" himself.

4. We have been deceived, cheated, emotionally abused and disregarded as nonentities so far with regard to this recruitment.

5. We were told all communication would be through our portals, but some "super Nigerians" we were interviewed alongside are already working in DPR offices and awaiting their next paycheck. This is the height of injustice and totally rubbishes the anti-corruption mantra of this administration.

As for proof that the recruited ones were stakeholder candidates, I (and a few others I've discussed this issue with) have unshakable evidence of some new recruits and their sponsors, which will be presented when necessary.

6. I seriously doubt the President, and the opposition PDP are aware of the irregularities happening right under the nose of the President and this is what the publication will take care of.

7. Remember that we might all just wake up to closed portals one day without a word from DPR, and right now their anointed candidates are already working in DPR so we really have nothing to lose, and responsible governance to achieve if nothing at all.

I pledge my support for the publication and will use the social media influence I possess (and ironically used to campaign for this govt in 2014/15) to move this initiative forward.

No. A newspaper publication is no way a waste of time. We are fighting a battle where at this point we have nothing to lose already. The more reason we should fight with reckless abandon.

We have prayed. God, the Great Judge is on our side. It time for us to march forward and act.

Under who’s administration do you think all this happening (Integrity, Transparency...). I’m also we have also heard those words multiple things from President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. Well he is nursing a second term ambition....do i need to say more?

Mr Ahmad Rufai Shakur has silently tagged us as irrelevant. An effective message exposing the rout should drive home the message to him. My initial plan was to have this story ready for blogs and social media, tending when this recruitment ends without any merit. It would be in such a way they when ever his name is inputted into google search the keyword output would be DPR recruitment scam, dishonesty, bribery etc angry
I will advice everyone be allowed to do what he or she feels is to be done. Let's focus on what we have decided to do irrespective of whatever outcomes. We are still alive even when others have resumed, and we will not die however it happens at the end.

I can bet you that as much as this thread is been monitored, I won't be surprised if this step we are about to take would have reached the DPR now by people who are seeing it as jeopardizing their backdoor means of getting in.

It's not a do or die, please everybody feel free to do what suites you.

dont even waste your time with publication because dpr management has already played all of us by releasing the first batch. the highest thing they will do is to issue a statement telling the public to disregard any rumour of second list as the recruitent is over. a senator called dpr on behalf of my friend but he was told they have concluded the recruitment because they dont want to entertain his plea, he later went to another top govt official who called dpr on his behalf and they told him to forward the guy's details. just chill untill Dpr decide to close the recruitment portal or issue a public statement telling the world they have officially concluded the 2016 recruitment. this present administration fvcked up big time, because they are too greedy to hijack all the slots without leaving some for the common man. if you are a merit candidate like me just move on with your life because good things awaits us somewhere else. DPR may still call some merit candidates but the chances are very slim and thats the bitter truth. DPR has never had it this bad, i beleive DPR was not meant for the poor . its for the elites, and their chilren.
Elbangeez, please read your post again and even though Nigeria is messed up, you believe DPR is not for the poor? Quite unfortunate. And if we are to hold you to your post that "a senator called dpr on behalf of my friend but he was told they have concluded the recruitment because they dont want to entertain his plea, he later went to another top govt official who called dpr on his behalf and they told him to forward the guy's details" you will prefer to make your way through that route now that it's looking as the only way, than to stand for what is right regardless of what outcomes are achieved?

And why are you so bent on discouraging a just cause?

Let the DPR itself say the recruitment is over better than this endless wait with countless informations churning out week in week out. Whatever the case, we would do what we can do, though late, and life goes on. Regards.

Exactly, but at the same time it depends on who asks him. There are different categories of BIG. Either way this stalling is not in our best interest and it is enough reason to doubt Mr. Ahmad Rufai Shakur’s intention towards merit candidates.

If he truly wanted to get this recruitment over with he would have ordered the dispatch of our letters and scheduled our resumption for June 2018; we won’t mind.

People, it is in our best interest to doubt Mr. Ahmad Rufai Shakur’s intentions in this recruitment because honestly speaking he hasn’t shown any form of good faith towards us, he didn’t deem it necessary.

I am in support of a Newspaper publication, to bring this matter to the notice of the presidency and the general public. I would gladly contribute generously toward its publication.
Still a good way to go. Myself and samsonik have accepted to come up with a draft before we can decide which mode of delivery to undertake. I have sent you a PM and Samsonik too, let's see what we can come up with.

Regards.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by notindome(m):

Let's start by knowing how many people residing in Lagos and are willing to come out let's match to their head office and demand once and for all if the recruitment is over or not. Remember change starts with you and I, and together we can change the way things work in this our country.

However, Being hopeful is good, but we still need to take appropriate action to be sure of what we are being hopeful about. Remember faith without work is dead.
How about,

Let's start by putting up our request in form of a letter after which we decide whether to deliver it as,

1. Closed to DPR HQ (attn: Mr A. R. SHAKUR) as concerned hopefuls

or

Open letter. We pay for the letter to be pinned on Nairaland front page for some days.
"Open letter to Mr A. R. SHAKUR, Head CS DPR."

In the letter we will kindly request to know the status of the recruitment, praise them for the efforts put from application to interview stage, make references to calls made, portals still open, get clarifications on online sources (Nairaland and Twitter) as regards the leaked list and an existing second batch of candidates.

While I work on a draft, you too can work on yours between now and 12noon tomorrow. Since we are the only ones willing to take a step, let's start something. We will then see how we can come out with an acceptable letter to use.

Even Marvel65, I am sure he feels the issue is beyond him and demoralizing too. Going all out to get info selflessly, trying to encourage hopefuls only for it to fail or change again and again. Has he not tried enough for us? You wan kill am? So it now becomes an issue to comment because we must stress Marvel65 to spoon feed us continously according to your gospel? We all know that any info for now without Mr SHAKUR's input is bound to fail.

We should be talking about how we can come together with one voice, make attempts to get that answer or info we are seeking rather than be cowed by the "you will jeopardize your chances singers who have since resumed" and sit down waiting and stressing Marvel65 up and down. It's us involved, we didn't say we want to fight, but politely seek what we need from DPR.

Please fellow hopefuls let us suggest ways how to go about this issue. If it turns out it's already concluded officially or not, nothing spoil we atleast got the info we needed from the DPR/Mr Shakur himself.

Suggestions please.

True talk brother, just like the last recruitment, they had to contribute money and publish it in the front pages of newspaper requesting the distribution of their APLs b4 they were attended to. If that is the only way out then we have to start thinking in that direction, now that we still have the time.

This is because with time the whole merit candidates will be replaced with stakeholder's candidates and there is nothing u and I can do about it.
That is if that has not been long done. At the moment we just need answers from DPR why the concluding process have gone in this direction. The Keep referring to the portals while people have resumed already.

We are not violently attacking DPR with guns, or machets, we just need answers to the reality on ground. We can put up an open letter to Mr Shakur about this. I suggested sometime ago we should start with Nairaland front page and then any dailys days after.

nothing is scary about the silence, the most important thing for you to know is that there is a second list. and at this point nobody can tell you when dpr will call the second list, it may be today, tomorrow, next year, next 2 years, nobody knows. but i believe it will be sooner than later. forget about DPR for now and focus on something productive because noboddy knows when the list will be released, unlike the first batch, this second list is not open to everyone. and marvel65 is the most reliable informant on this thread, and i believe what ever he says will come to pass, dude s well informed.
What is secret about already done deed and keeping the rest in perpetual wait as a way of defending merit? That is bad to say the least, sorry to say that. Sadly it is the current and visible reality. The whole scenario is not a happy one, let me just pour out some sad emotions even though it makes no difference to the issue at hand.

It's not like hopefuls are not busy on something else. Just as posted by BrockSamson some posts back, this kind of treatment you can't understand by Mr SHAKUR. How we all decided not to do anything as little as demanding answers from DPR is unfortunate. It should be a collective effort not just left to individuals. All the talks of don't do anything to jeopardize your chances are all smiling in their Jobs already. Even if it's who and who Mr SHAKUR wants to employ in the DPR he can go ahead and Nigeria that we know, nothing will happen. I wonder what really the delay is about seen as upright, claiming integrity or protecting merit when the backdoor process has long taken place?
A whole government agency put the faith of candidates on the Yes and No of one man, Mr A. R. SHAKUR supposedly adjudged to be upright and just. May God be his judge.

This country tells you openly "It's better to trust in human beings (stakeholders, godfathers) than to depend on God." Mr SHAKUR didn't need to keep the stakeholder candidates in perpetual wait to get their appointment letters, but the remaining, if any, deserve to wait endlessly, without knowing what to make of the process, while possibly in his heart laughs at the Infos that are been churned out week in, week out because it's not from him

Yes Marvel have done great, goes out of his way to get informations, but as long as he Mr Shakur does not say it should or would be, then we will continue with the Infos endlessly. Marvel has mentioned sometime ago that he really cannot understand why the delay, everything would seem ready but next thing nothing happens. Is it the Shakur himself dishing out dates and failing to comply intentionally? or people around just making up infos and passing them down as a cover for the flawed process?

Who would have taught at this time we can't say for certain about this recruitment concluding or not? Well I take my pains and blames to God because that is who I trust for this Job. Feel sad though, but helpless because nothing more I can do than wait. Congratulations to those who trusted their helper (stakeholder) and are smiling now, enjoy it paid off. Those who also trusted their stakeholder but have not smiled can take their blames to them. Life goes on.

Countless prayers have been said, prayers continue to be said, May God help us. Amen.

And so we reached the reality check point for 1st or 2nd week October timeline and sadly again it has gone south and joined the list of unending timelines to the ongoing DPR drama. Unfortunately also, the rumored 30th September dated letters can only reach it's own reality check point someday (positively or negatively), unknown to all men but one if and when made available. Do not loose hope, have faith and trust God.

Despite all odds, the efforts of Marvel65 and Xtruzz is highly appreciated as we continue in the uncertain wilderness of a Nigerian/DPR made Mini-god.

At the moment the 18th meeting info and the hopeful documentation before 1st November info (How possible?) are moving towards their reality check points. Marvel65 may still have a new info (Never say never spirit). May God help us through hopefully.

The HR staff are waiting for the go-ahead from Mr Tata.

Please I repeat again, try to move on if you feel the exercise has been concluded and don’t discourage others.

May the grace of God be with you all.
Thanks Marvel65 for your efforts, as it stands we can only appreciate every info passed down. As envisaged based on your last info, by now the letters are supposed to be in the Zonal offices despatched since last week, and calls/portal updates made or positive signs of calls/portal updates to be made. But it's all good, it is well you are not DPR.

I have said it before, even if the Infos tend to go south at the end, you are not liable to whatever happens at the end. For all hopefuls keeping faith, I encourage do keep the faith burning but know that we can't pin any tag of "na Marvel talk am" when and however the reality sets in at the end. If not Nigeria, are we not suppose to get Infos from DPR officially through our portals?

Truth is in the Nigerian context, recruitments never finishes and you don't need a prophet to re-emphasize that this recruitment is not concluded. But how will the conclusion be? When one man (Mr Tata) becomes so powerful in such conclusions even Marvel65 (please with all due respect to your Infos) cannot say categorically anything on that. I advice all hopefuls as we keep the faith and continue to trust God, brace up for eventualities too please.

So much drama by a so-called Mini-god (Mr Tata) wonder what benefits or Joy it gives him to have letters ready and just feels like when he wakes up on the right side of bed to be the right moment. So much comfort (at will) in defence of uprightness! #endoftheworldwonders

May the grace of God be with us all. Amen.

Make sure you have proof that those recruited are not on merit before you make that noise
The noise is to get answers as to the status of the recruitment, there is nothing wrong knowing from DPR officially that the recruitment is over or not. We all know that there is almost nothing (things can change though) we can do in this country about whoever DPR recruits merit or not. Just let us know the status of the recruitment. Do we need proof for that before we make noise my fellow Nigerian?

People lets see how much noise we can make to ensure the remaining merit candidates are called

Our friend OjioO16 made this post sometimes back, how did it go? A look at his Twitter profile shows a detailed expression of what is going on regarding this DPR recruitment. He copied a lot of people but at the end it was almost like nobody cares, all the Twitter activist and connections he copied, nothing came out. A few reactions though in one of the page of those he copied.

Truth is a lot of people are aware of the leaked list and the way DPR has gone about this recruitment, but it just seems nobody wants to make a noise about this DPR case. When CBN, FIRS, NPA all had their nepotic recruitments it was all over the media, even though nothing was still done. But it was on record that such scam took place. Even on DPR's weekly radio show, any question about the recruitment never gets answered rather the presenter keeps referring people to portal even after letting them know that calls have been made and stakeholder candidates have resumed.

Every info passed here on this forum is subject to perception of the receiver and non of them is liable to whatever happens at the end if the events do not pan out as the info suggested. With so many conflicting Infos, what really is the true state of this recruitment? Is it not suppose to be a known status by all hopefuls? But rather it is now left to faith, hope and perceptions of each individual and so everybody goes quiet, na so we see am. It's pathetic really.

Those who are willing to meet stakeholders in the petroleum industry should find their way to Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Congress Hall on the 18th of October.

Be there before 10am. Dress corporate. You may meet TATA or your helper in respect to DPR recruitment.

Goodluck to the brave n the risk takers.
This is referring that even by 18th October nothing about the long awaited calls of 2nd batch will be heard. Well thank you for the info.

If we can reach any of the Mods to put up a DPR thread solely to ask about the status of this recruitment once and for all (we are not discarding this thread), let the mods help us leave it on front page for some days, I believe we will get answers by next week latest.

If not for anything, atleast we asked questions and it would be on record that the DPR recruitment is no different from the usual ways.

My two cents.
