D emergency interview doesn't depend on whether its ur first or second time. Its always approved only when ur course resumption date is within 60 days from the date of the emergency request and u haven't been denied visa within the last six months. No additional fee, just contact the embassy at support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com

The guy just types for over a min on his computer, the long wait almost killed me, looks at me and gives me back the documents and says, i'm sorry but you do not qualify for a visa at this time.

Didn't ask for any document though.

Called the embassy when i got to work to know the actual reason for the denial and they asked me to call back tomorrow (might as well know what i said wrong)

My question now is, does the fact that previous applied for a B1 visa (denied) last year affect my chances of getting a student visa this year?

Ur transcript is a bit cagey. Try to tell us what u told the VO, because d way I see it, these unknown info were what kicked u out. So comply, so that the gurus on this thred can pick out the flaws in ur transcript.

I don't know why and this is the school time I am being denied its really making me go crazy.

Vo didn't trust you because u illustrated how u came to know about ur uni through ur SAT class, after then were asked about SAT, but couldn't provide it (not yet out). VOs know that real admissions are contingent upon SAT. So make sure you have ur SAT available in ur next interview.

On the other hand, why didn't u refer ur sponsor as 'uncle' only, and have cogent reasons why he's sponsoring you.

it was God ... I wasn't asked to show any document ... he denied the first woman I think she's going to visit her husband's friend...

reactivated, will they be required to input the reference
number printed on the visa fee receipt from gt bank,
when booking appointments or can the appointment-
booking be done automatically without inputting the

Guy wasn't only u that the technical issues affected, even the day I went for mine almost 70% of applicants were disappointed including me. Ur submission date of ds-160 was on 9th June, right? Conversely mine was on 6th June.I tell U its a very serious issue. I wait till the problem is rectified before I make another move.

Hello everyone, I went to d embassy yesterday and I was given a paper by the CGI staff stating that I wouldn't have the interview yesterday and also my fee receipt will be reactivated today. But till now, no show. what should I do? Anyone experiencing that?

Unfortunately i fall within this category as i was interviewed last Tuesday (9th June). Well, hopefully the visas will be printed asap.

Secondly, VO are not God, ask question and speak audible. She didn't check your i20 and just gave u denial letter, she obviously and will never know your are on scholarship if she doesn't check your i20. She found 2million and felt that was too low. You should have told her instantly before collect the 214b that you are on funding and you only need few cash to go.
B[b][/b]e prepare next week, be audible and state the reason for your denial in your new ds 160. Let the new VO know that you are on funding and it was never mentioned in your last interview. I see you getting the visa. Come back here next week

Is it advisable to be specific when stating the reason for visa denial instead of the usual reason for denial ( refusal under section 214b )?

None from the house can give you the exact steps for d processing of ur I-20 as requirements and steps defer from uni to uni, it's only ur school, specifically the team for international students.

Goodmorning all.. DHL just delivered my I-20 for admission for fall (August) 2015. I had previously received an I-20 in November 2014, but because my visa was not approved for Spring (January) 2015, I asked my school to defer my admission and re-issue me another I-20 for fall (August) 2015 admission. Now I have received it, but when I compared my new I-20 with the one I received last year, I discovered that my SEVIS number on the recent I-20 is different from that of the previous one. To those with same experience, does this pose any problem?? I am asking because I have paid the $200 SEVIS fee last year and I understand that SEVIS fee is valid for one year. Please what do I do now?? Answers needed!!! Thank you.

I don't have the same experience, but I don't think it will pose any problem at d embassy in as much as the previous and the current I-20 came from d same school. All u have to do is to contact the sevis people for the update of ur sevis number. It's kind of transferring the payment u made to ur previous sevis no to the current one, so that ur current sevis number would reflect on ur sevis fee receipt. Hope it helps.

U only need to contact FMJfee Team at FMJFEE.SEVIS@ice.dhs.gov, in order to transfer ur sevis-fee payment from ur current sevis no. to the one u wish to go to the embassy with. They will require ur sevis details to do so.

You should Wait for at least 7 days b/f booking appointment. Fill a new ds-160, through there u make amendments to ur profile where necessary. If that's not okay with you, defer ur admission to fall semester. No hurry in life.Dis is all I got to say, hope it helps.

Sorry for the denial. It could be that the lady wasn't satisfied with the reason why ur uncle is sponsoring you. Anyway, don't give up, refire.

The end date of your statement should be close (within a few days ) of the date of your interview.
Make sure that the funds are still there as they may check.

If you can find your way from Utako to Jabi Or Berger, take a cab to Area 1, There's one particular b/stop(I've forgotten the name) after the National Hospital..Its just a 5min walk from there...
