Just take a taxi or take a bus going to Airport Road from Orile. Alight at the final bus stop and join a cab that takes you to the international wing.

Take a bus going to Ikeja and then tell the bus driver or conductor that you're heading to International Airport, they know where to drop you and you connect to another bus.
Or better still, if you have some bucks, just take a taxi. It's less stressful though.

Okay and do you want direction for commercial bus or taxi ? Majority of all taxi driver know the place and can drive you there but if you taking commercial bus just try and board the one going to ikeja and when you get there ask and walk down to the bride close to the general hospital and take a navy blue bus or normal yellow bus going to international airport..

I don't know craigslist doesn't work in Nigeria anymore. If that's the case, you have to use proxy IP to bypass the restriction. You need craigslist by all means. Shared room is reliable if you don't pay until you see the room with your own eyes and you can cope with subletting or slumlords. Don't say you're still in Nigeria, else, you will succeed in getting nothing.

First you need somewhere to stay while you keep tracking rooms on craigslist from Nigeria. You should find some where in north-east Queens but check if mta (subway not bus) reaches the place. Cheapest will be around $600/month for a shared room. You may likely be asked to pay the first and last month plus the security deposit (about $1800 to $2500 before moving in).

GTBank started giving out BTA and PTA on Monday 10th but the unfortunate thing is that the bank sells only to current account holders(not savings). I couldn't get to buy from my other banks either(Diamond, Access). Had to open a new account with First Bank on Tuesday 11th and within an hour, I got USD4k as PTA at very reasonable fee. Was charged additional NGN8400 which makes the total NGN808,400 for USD4000



Effective today, savings account will also now qualify for PTA. Useful information folks on here can use.

U can be denied today and reapply today if possible. But the thing there is, ur appointment schedule must fall on a date which is at least seven days later than the date of denial. That's to say that u will appear before the CO for ur interview after 7days of ur refusal.

YES to ur qstion. Since U have sent what they required, the update will be done by them. Just relax and wait for them to get back to you approx. 24 to 48hrs. After then, you log back to ur profile and print the updated appointment confirmation letter.

That's normal, f1 visas are valid for 2yrs. Ur 2yr visa is used only for entering the US. While in US, U are covered by ur status (f1 status) which is valid for the whole period of ur course only if you do not breach ur status. U can only renew ur visa outside the US.

Anyways, I'll check my visa application tomorrow evening and saturday morning to see whether the change was effected. If it wasn't, them I'm going to go to the embassy with the old ds160 and trust God for His favor. Conversely, if you have computer connected to mobile network or WiFi, u can still have the soft copy of ur new ds160 in PDF format sent to them without the stress of scanning the hard copy of ur new ds160.

All u have to do; go to the visa application website,click on ' retrieve application' option, enter ur ds160 code and answer the security questions, it then displays ur new ds160. Then, print it to ur file possibly in PDF or email it to ur email address.
Better still do as u wished; suit urself.

Actually what happened was that I had issues with my first ds160; I just couldn't retrieve the form any more. I was getting an error message. And I had already scheduled an appointment with the number. I had to go to the office that helps with travels and passages in the school I finished from, and the lady said I had to fill out another ds160 and cancel and reschedule another visa appointment. She decided to assist me in filling the form. When it got to the place of : were you assisted to fill this form? She clicked on yes, and put her relationship with me as school official assigned to travels and passages.
I didn't like it; I wanted it to be a no. I learned the embassy frowns at agents, and I don't want it to look like an agent assisted me for a fee, cos she didn't charge me; she was just doing her duty as a school official putting a student/staff through travel tinz.

Now I fell like changing the ds160 I will be needing at the embassy. I filled another one the way I want it and signed it. I tried going to the "update profile" on the visa appointment page with the hope of changing the ds160 confirmation number to the latest one I have, with the hope of printing a new visa confirmation page, but it gives me an error message. The other option would have been to cancel the appointment and reschedule with the latest ds160, which is what the woman did when the very first ds160 form was corrupted, but I don't want to loose my date, july 6th

But someone told me it was possible, that he did his own that way. Please house it it possible.

If I don't get it done I'll definitely go with the one the woman assisted me with and trust God for His favor. But I just thought to tie up loose ends as much as possible.

I do understand that u wanted to update ur new ds160 code to reflect on ur appointment confirmation and also the no. of times u can reschedule has been exhausted.

But there's an option; contact the visa support services firm ( CGI ) at support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com, for the update of ur new ds160, it takes no more than 48 hrs to be done by them once u have provided them with the necessary requirements like copies of passport bio-page & new ds160 confirmation etc. After which you log back onto ur profile to print the updated appointment confirmation.

That way, u no longer need to reschedule for it to be updated. I did mine this way, it worked. If it didn't, I wouldn't have quoted you.
