donbenie: In my experience as an ATHEIST,I believe it should be on a need to know basis,am married and my wife being the religious type I find it better for peace to reign by playing along, going to church and praying in the mornings and all that,I consider it a sacrifice I have to make for my marriage..having said that you'll tend to meet people who will constantly choose to poke nose into your business with their religious fanaticism,my advice is to let it slide if you can help it,let them preach and cajole,it takes nothing from you and is often less of a stress to you than to go into arguments with the likes of such.. Why are you living a lie? Why are you deceiving your wife? You should have told her from the beginning what your beliefs are and given her a choice to accept you for who you really are or not. If not you could have found someone who has the same beliefs as you or would accept you for who you are. The day she founds out.....i pity her |

onatisi: the passport system in ghana is straight forward, and many nigerians get it all the time The only time they will demand huge bribe from u is when they know u are definitely lying ,if his birth certificates are genuine and he can prove that his mother is a ghanian by getting a letter from the mother family head. They will give him the passport, the issue of money been charged is normal because he is a dual citizen .if his mother is still alive ,all she has to do is call one of her ppl in ghana or go to the passport office and they will give him. In ur own case ,ur marrying a ghanian doesn't make u a ghanian. So if u win , the usa embassy at cantonment won't give u the visa, they will only give ppl who are passport holders of that qualifying country First, if you were born in a country whose natives are ineligible but your spouse was born in a country whose natives are eligible, you can claim your spouse’s country of birth—provided that both you and your spouse are on the selected entry, are issued visas, and enter the United States simultaneously. He can get a visa. Also he could apply for a Ghanaian passport because he is married to one |

Remmyode: The mother is a Ghanian and father a Nigerian. He has his birth certificate. he played the lottery here in Nigeria and already chose nigeria as a preferred country for the interview.
The thing is the Ghanaian authorities are giving him problem and demanding huge money to give him Ghanaian passport after showing the birth certificate. Of course the parent relocated very early to nigeria and he's bin doing everything Nigeria since then but occasionally travel to see the mums people. I've bin playing dvlottery since the ban on Nigeria because I am married to ghanian and if I won am using my Nigeria passport so I feel it could be applicable to him too since he is partially a Ghanian by birth and mums county but Nigerian by father. What onatisi said is so on point. My mother is Ghanaian and Dad Nigerian so it would be easy to get a Ghanaian passport because my mother is from there. All she has to do is follow the necessary steps and can even apply on his behalf. Buy if he is lying then he should just forget the whole thing or pay that 'huge money'. |

Crime › Re: Nigerian Lady Face Jail For Wrongly Accusing Two Men Of Rape by Notyourb1tch(f): 11:40pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
coogar: but this type of scenario is the most common & it's räpe in the UK. there are other variants. one woman took her hubby to court for räpe.....her reason was that they agreed he shouldn't ejacülate into her but the husband did. the law argued that because consent wasn't given for ejacülation, it was räpe even if she gave consent for penetration.
so the issue of rape has many different hues to it. it's just that we have almost been conditioned that any räpe case is a male stranger clubbing a woman in the head with a stone on her way home in the middle of the night. Actually most rape victims know their rapist very well. You are right about the different scenarios and I must admit that the law is harsher on men when it comes to rape and that's why you guys should be extra careful and not put yourselves in compromising situations. Am a bit speechless about the 'husband and wife' scenario cos it's kinda crazy to be honest. My advice don't go home drunk with a girl and don't do something you both agreed or she asked you not to do to be on the safe side... |

eromoko: (Another naija disgrace) Yinusa's barrister Neville Rudston described her as 'desperate' and said: 'It is popularly seen as a monstrous act. The enormity of the consequences should have been clear. The reality is they weren't.
'It was an outburst of anger, albeit she had a great deal to be angry about, it's an outburst.
'She says it and then she was stuck with it, she didn't have the robustness or strength to say 'no I take it back' and that's why it turned out as badly as it did.'
He added: 'It's an extraordinary case of a young woman of good character who found herself committing an extraordinarily serious offence, it's inexplicable in many ways.'
Mr Rudston told the court that the defendant has 'her own difficulties and her own issues' and that she 'self-medicated' by abusing cocaine.
She also suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and has a caution for shoplifting.
Judge Rook told her she would be sentenced on Friday for making the false rape claim.
He said: 'It does concern me that I don't have a medical report on you as sadly you have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.
'For that reason I am going to adjourn your sentence to Friday afternoon.'
Yinusa was granted bail until sentencing.
Her ex-boyfriend Mr Umezie told the hearing she was crying when she made the initial allegation.
He added: 'She used to be immature but now she's more responsible.'

women don't really need an excuse to pin a räpe charge on an innocent man. naija men better shine their eyes! You act like if Nigerian girls go around accusing all men of rape. Just because a few retarded fools like that lady fakes it, does not mean that it is the norm. In fact I would say there are actually more rape cases then false cases. |

bigtt76: When I say result of poor governance people go wan chop me raw. For goodness sake, this thing happens daily yet people at the top do nothing new to enlighten the people on the dangers of stay, selling close to rail lines not even on the hanging see. Very sad I would say. It would be worse when Lagos Blue and Red line trains come on stream.
Like government is trying to build fences round airports, they should do the same to rail lines by condoning off the rails out of security men's view and other measures aimed at preventing this. People should also know it's not wise hanging on trains. How much is a ticket that cannot be afforded? If you check now, the victim spent more than his ticket would have cost on frivolities yet wants to hang. If you going to be hanging on a train and doing all sorts of ridiculous and unsafe stuff then what do you really expect. It's an unfortunate accident but unfortunately I know people will still not learn from him and blaming the Government for people's idiotic decisions that I have to disagree with. If you decide to hang on a wall and you fall down and then go ahead and blame Government for such a wall not being strong enough or for not teaching me basic knowledge that one should not hang on walls is kinda silly. Am just using this as an example. The government is not responsible for our decisions and lack of common sense |

Did you not see he hit her first which is automatically assault in the UK and in any civilized society where physically striking others is assault unless done in self-defense? What then do you mean by "who do you think was at fault" if not the bigot in you still wishing others will help you proclaim the lady guilty? Even your title is ridiculous considering you cannot state conclusively where those in the altercation are from. Get a life and a job mate !!! Pathetic fool celebrating the unacceptable and totally condemnable physical assault of a woman by a cowardly man. The Police will arrive the scene and the coward will be done for GBH (Grievous bodily harm) or violent assault. Thank you for this. Am glad we still have some decent men with sense still around. sergiozlatan: Good to see this. I must confess that certain Nigerians act without thinking.
The said lady is my friend, we are all members of the Young African Leadership Initiative/Network (YALI/YALN). She's also a fellow of the Mandela Fellowship (formerly called Washington Fellowship). My timeline on twitter is filled with her comments & that of our fellow colleagues.
What the Company did is termed "standard procedure". Although they could have helped her in a way but let's call a spade a spade. She didn't inform them before arrival that she's disabled & will need her wheelchair. When the airline simply informed her in clear terms that they cannot breach protocol in order for her to board immediately, she flared up. I understand her anger, but that's not the solution.
She went to twitter to vent her anger against the airline, copying almost all members & fellows. Some in turn decided to start an e-war against the airline. Sending several tweets copying the Ghanaian President as well. (Hw would u feel as a Nigerian if something happens in 9ja 2 a S/African & his colleagues start an e-war tagging PMB?)
She's supposed to head to Tamale (northern Ghana) for an internship. I pity her though but she messed up by not PRE-INFORMING the airline. She even approached others but received same replies (that's according to her o).
Then to the airline (tho I'm yet to get full info from them), they should have somehow had sympathy on her based on her condition & remedied the situation. Them self no too try @ all. Hope this won't give them a bad publicity.
Anyway, Madam Freky, God be with you. Safe stay in Ghana. There you have it. I pity her but she was kinda careless, was it her first time flying? |
