Guys, the video is a hoax. The following is the latest news about the video:

Video of eagle attacking toddler sparks online buzz

A video of a golden eagle swooping down in Montreal and briefly snatching a toddler off the ground sparked online buzz, but turned out on Wednesday to be a hoax that some said harms wildlife.

Coming just a week after a monkey wearing a sheepskin coat was found wandering around a parking lot in Toronto, the video purported to show the massive eagle -- which typically has a six-foot (two-meter) or more wingspan -- circling a public park.

The eagle then swoops down, lifts an unsuspecting toddler off the ground by its winter coat and carries it a few feet before dropping it on the grass.

After cursing in English, the French-speaking man filming the incident races over to comfort the bewildered child, who starts crying but does not appear to be seriously hurt.

Netizens have rushed to see the video, which had more than a million views by noon on Wednesday (www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE0Q904gtMI) and was also making the rounds on Twitter.

But a blog posting under the banner "Centre NAD reassures Montrealers: no danger of being snatched by a golden eagle" debunks the video.

The posting identified four students at the Montreal 3D animation and digital design school as being behind the hoax, which it said was part of a school project.

"The child and the eagle were created using 3D animation by the students and then dropped into real footage," it said.

Earlier, several journalists who watch the Internet closely were already suspicious of its authenticity.

Others posted stills from the footage that they said show the eagle's shadow suddenly appearing on the video when it was not previously visible.

"If the eagle video is fake, it's a really well made fake," said @DocWan, echoing what many other people were saying on Twitter.

Conservation biologist Claude Drolet confirmed that the video was shot at Mont Royal Park, probably in November.

The site shown in the video is "50 meters from my office" in the park, he told AFP. But he noted that it was unlikely anyone whose child had been attacked would "not seek help, nor inform park staff."

The Black Swamp Bird Observatory, meanwhile, warned that "this kind of publicity does so much damage to birds."

"The golden eagle is a scarce visitor in the Montreal area," said bird expert Kenn Kaufman, cited by the observatory in a Facebook posting, adding that the bird in the video is not a golden eagle, "nor anything else that occurs in the wild in North America."

"With all the ignorance about nature that's out there already, the last thing we need is this kind of stupid garbage," Kaufman wrote.

But others just enjoyed the show. "Destined to be huge!" one online user wrote. "Craziest video I've seen in a long time," tweeted another.

The golden eagle is the largest bird of prey in North America, and can dive at its quarry at speeds of more than 150 miles (241 kilometers) per hour, according to the US-based National Geographic Society.

Family / Re: How Much Is Too Much To Tell Your Partner? by NoWee(m): 7:23pm On Nov 01, 2012
Different strokes for different folks. I’m the type who is not interested in a holy-holy babe or a virgin. I want a babe who has be there, done that, and she is now ready to leave all behind and move to the next level. I will tell her the truth about my past and I expect the same from her. The world is truly small and being secretive will surely backfire. I hate a situation whereby an outsider will be the one to tell me about the terrible past of my partner. That will clearly destroy the trust I’ve for the chick and turn the relationship into a loveless one.

I also believe that anybody who believes the picture is a first class MUMU. It’s just like believing Nigerian prophets and pastors who deceive people to sow unfruitful seeds.

Chime’s aide urges participation in American Visa Lottery

BY Tony Edike

ENUGU—Special Assistant to Enugu State Governor on Special Projects and Diaspora Matters, Mr. Dom Emeka Ezeudu, Wednesday, urged people of the state to take advantage of the American Diversity Visa Lottery, to better their lot.

He disclosed that the 2013 Visa Lottery programme which commenced on October 4, would end on November 5.

In a statement issued in Enugu, Ezeudu said applicants should only apply at the official website www.dvlottery.state.gov, explaining that there was no charge for downloading and completing the Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form.

He pointed out that some fraudulent websites posing as the official programme website had been charging application fees to complete the entry form. He advisd applicants to beware of such websites.

Hi

I live in the UK and Enugu is my destination whenever I visit Nigeria. I usually come through Abuja and take a flight to Enugu. I will soon travel to Enugu but I don’t know what to do now that Enugu airport is closed because of the ongoing upgrade.

Please, does anyone know the safest way to get to Enugu from Abuja? Is bus a good option? If yes, how many hours does it take to reach Enugu? And which bus depot is located near the airport?

The Latest Development

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was shot in the neck at a takeaway restaurant.

Agnes Sina-Inakoju, 16, was standing with a group of her friends inside the fast food outlet in east London on Wednesday evening when detectives believe a shot was fired through the window.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said two men, aged 21 and 16, were arrested on Saturday night in connection with her murder.

Officers said they did not believe the teenager had been the intended target of the shooting.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said officers were keeping an open mind about the reason for the shot being fired and it was too early in the investigation to say if the incident was gang-related.

You are funny to think that guys are desperately searching for girlfriends. That is not the case in the western world. Over here, girls are very approachable and available. Anyway, I am a Nigerian guy who lives in Maryhill, Glasgow. Where do you live? Get back to me let us know what’s up, and do not worry, I am not desperately searching for any girlfriend.

Michelle,

Note that scammers will not only try to swindle you for money. They may also play you to provide them with British visa. I would advise you not to provide more information about yourself and your family. You have provided enough, besides, your father's picture is here. It will be wise to reserve some information which you will put as questions to anybody who claims to be father. If the person answers the questions correctly then you will know straightaway that you are not wasting your time with a con artist.

Dis Guy,

Thanks for your response.

I went to the embassy for the e-passport and everything went well. I must also say that I did not witness any drama or madness at the embassy. I will go there this week for the collection of the e-passport.

The following are the items anybody who has the old passport and wants the e-passport should go there with to avoid delay or come tomorrow:

1.  Your old passport

2.  Application form

3.  Payment confirmation slip (of the $65 online payment)

4.  Passport acknowledgement slip (it will show the date of your appointment)

5.  £20 postal order to Nigeria High Commission London (processing fee)
Travel / Re: Nigeria Embassy London Worst Management by NoWee(m): 5:13am On Feb 10, 2010
My people, I want to visit Nigeria in some month’s time and I have applied for the new Nigerian ePassport because my current one has expired. I also paid $65 online for the ePassport and my interview is on 23 February 2010. This means that I will travel from Glasgow to London. As a student, I don’t want to spend money and time to go that far and return without achieving my aim. Therefore, I implore anybody who has recently obtained the ePassport over there to let me know the items I need to bring along with me. At present, I only know that I must come with my expired passport and a £20 processing fee in postal order. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Another issue is that I can't find my way around London. Please which airport is closer to the embassy and what is the best way to get to the embassy from the airport?

@ Poster,

What are you talking about! Why leaving your head in London? Don't you know that London is unsafe as well. Your best option is to use an airplane that will have a stopover in Afghanistan or Iraq, then leave your head in any of the countries before coming to Nigeria. Safe journey my love.

@Poster,

I am very sorry for the obstacle you are facing. Please do not fall mugu for anybody. I would advise you to stick to medical science / medical doctors  for help. I am saying this because people in this type of situation are desperate and vulnerable. Therefore, they are good targets for 419ers. The 419ers may come as native doctors, religious healers, sellers of Chinese medicine etc. So dear, watch out for the con men both on this website and everywhere.
