PissedYagami: If that is what you want to think nobody can change your mind. Kenya has 43 tribes from Bantus, Nilotes, Cushitic and Semitic origins. Trust me, Kenyans dont look the same. Plus Nigerians do perplex me. An well educated man, having some very childish arguments about how handsome or ugly he is. I think you are suffering from self esteem issues, we cant help you mate. You have some serious mommy issues, maybe you are one repulsive human to look at. Any person who understands a bit of psychology can see that. Man up bruh What a very terrible and cheap way to explain and excuse ugliness. Kenyans are just local champions and that is why most of them look very primitive. Why then should your people be comparing with us? |

back to muafrika matter, he realized that no Kenyan could compete with me in terms of look, except maybe to some extent the most handsome man in Kenya, which I still trounced! Don't mind the fools. If we post the pictures of most handsome men in Nigeria here, this thread will shut down. Average everyday Nigerians like you and i are enough to give the most handsome Kenyan celebrities a run for their money. Kenyans are just genetically ugly. It's a genetic and hereditary thing over there. |

NairobiWalker: Kenya has 24/7 electricity supply. Even a guy called Nairalander (who hates Kenya just as much as you btw) that lives in Nairobi attested to that. I rent a house in Nairobi, have a brother in Mombasa, a house in my village and working on a project somewhere in Embu County since October last year. I rent a house in a small town here. Since I came here, I have not experienced a blackout. My house in Nairobi on average will experience a blackout once in two months and it rarely takes more than 2 hours. I wonder why it's so hard for a Nigerian to believe there can be 24/7 supply of electricity in Africa lol. Most East African countries have 24/7 electricity supply. Nairobi may have 24/7 supply, but not the Slums and villages dominated by savages like these. Do these Kenyan savages look like people who can spell electricity, let alone knowing what it is?

I think the average Nigerian man has more hairs than the Bantu women of Kenya. This is the way average Kenyan women look. They are naturally and genetically bald. So, don't expect Cocomilian to look any better

TayserMahiri: Well then. I am sure you know where this debate started from. Forgiveness couldn't swallow that kenya has way taller buildings than naija and so she came up with a new metric. Am sure he is soon going to come up with another one, probably adding up the heights of all buildings in nigeria to get a big number.
The internet won't change the facts on the ground. Nairobi stands taller than Lagos in height, sophistication and beauty. And it's such a shame that with all the sophistication and beauty of Nairobi, large numbers of humanitarian agencies, aids and NGOs still come to Nairobi because of it's world class slums. What a shame! A chicken that wants to fly like an eagle. |

NairobiWalker: Kenya has over 540 chartered tertiary institutions including 51 universities. That's 1 university per 881,000 people. How many has Nigeria? Nigeria has 37 Federal universities, 44 State universities (some states have 2 universities) and 70 accredited private universities. (Making over 150 universities). We also have the Open University system in Nigeria (the first of it's kind in West Africa) and this University system can take in an unlimited number of students, due to it's flexible nature. It currently has over 120,000 students from all over the federation. It is completely Internet and computer based with study centres in every state and the students choose to write their exams whenever and wherever they like. You can read about it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Open_University_of_NigeriaWe cannot even count the number of Polythecnics, Colleges of education, health, Science, Technical colleges, Nursing and midwifery schools and Defence academies in Nigeria. They run in their thousands. No comparison pls. |

The 3 most influential cities (in wealth) in the USA are New york, Los angeles and Chicago. While the 3 wealthiest states are California, Texas and New york. California controls about 15% or more of the wealth of the USA. Lagos state controls about 20% of the wealth of Nigeria. I don't see much difference here. |

forgiveness: DEFINITION
The term "skyscraper" was first applied to buildings of steel framed construction of at least 10 stories in the late 19th century, a result of public amazement at the tall buildings being built in major cities like Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, Detroit, and St. Louis.[3] The first steel-frame skyscraper was the Home Insurance Building (originally 10 stories with a height of 42 m or 138 ft) in Chicago, Illinois in 1885. Some point to Philadelphia's 10-story Jayne Building (1849–50) as a proto-skyscraper, or to New York's seven-floor Equitable Life Building (New York City), built in 1870, for its innovative use of a kind of skeletal frame, but such designation depends largely on what factors are chosen. Even the scholars making the argument find it to be purely academic......
The Emporis Standards Committee defines a high-rise building as "a multi-story structure between 35–100 meters tall, or a building of unknown height from 12–39 floors" and a skyscraper as "a multi-story building whose architectural height is at least 100 m or 330 ft. Some structural engineers define a highrise as any vertical construction for which wind is a more significant load factor than earthquake or weight. Note that this criterion fits not only high-rises but some other tall structures, such as towers.
The word skyscraper often carries a connotation of pride and achievement. The skyscraper, in name and social function, is a modern expression of the age-old symbol of the world center or axis mundi: a pillar that connects earth to heaven and the four compass directions to one another.[8]
A loose convention of some in the United States and Europe draws the lower limit of a skyscraper at 150 m or 490 ft. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyscraper
Bhuuuhahaha! Based on the first @bolded
Lagos has 8 skyscrapers completed than the whole of Kenya. Sorry
With about 10 skyscrapers with the minimum height of 100m under construction.
DEFINITION OF HIGHRISE
Various bodies have defined "high-rise":
Emporis Standards defines a high-rise as "A multi-story structure between 35–100 meters tall, or a building of unknown height from 12–39 floors."
According to the building code of Hyderabad, India, a high-rise building is one with four floors or more, or 15 to 18 meters or more in height... The International Conference on Fire Safety in High-Rise Buildings defined a high-rise as "any structure where the height can have a serious impact... In the U.S., the National Fire Protection Association defines a high-rise as being higher than 75 feet (23 meters), or about 7 stories.[5] Most building engineers, inspectors, architects and similar professionals define a high-rise as a building that is at least 75 feet (23 m) tall.[citation needed]
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_block
Based on the definition @bolded, Lagos has more highrise than the whole of Kenya. While Abuja and Port Harcourt has more than Mombasa. sorry
123 Highrises (completed and underconstruction)
Please, note that I didn't add 8 completed skyscrapers and the 10 underconstruction. They are all above 20 floors and 100m.

freshest4live: Now that Anthony Joshua( or what is he called) achieved something for the U.K they are not quick to tell us he is from Nigeria( or at least give a hint to where he was born)but when two Nigerians who were born in the U.K and lived all of their lives in the U.K, were caught for drug crimes the following month, the news was clear that two Nigerians have been sent to prison for drug offence. It's quite amusing though. Exactly, that's how humans can be very selfish and sentimental. Everyone wants to identify with success. They forget that everything has a baggage and comes at a cost. When Nigerian Agbani Darego broke the record and became the first black woman to win miss world. All Africans were quick to identify her as a Black African, even the black americans and carribeans were not left out of the famzing. But if it is a Nigerian woman reprimanded for something wrong, everyone will be quick to point to Nigeria. That is double-standardness to me. LOVE ME AND LOVE MY DOG as the adage goes. You cannot claim you love me and hate my dog. This is one reason why i will always defend Southern Nigerians to outsiders, even though it is obvious that they are the ones spoiling the Nigerian image to the world with criminality. Cos at the same time, they produce more achievers who also make Nigerians prouder at the same time. |

Maduawuchukwu: Lol. Everybody in Naija has his or her tales of marginalization. For the West it is the claim that the abrogation of regionals crippled them, for the Igbo it is that we have been denied infrastructure and political power, for the Niger-Delta it is the claim that they are denied their oil wealth etc. My only grouse with Nigeria is that we have ignored and some times violently suppressed such agitations which are part of a democratic system which has in turn caused so much conflict that has endangered Nigeria. If Nigeria can agree on some minimum national standards and hold on to it e.g no electing of sectional leaders like Buhari's case, human right for even the smallest of groups etc then Naija is good to go. On the issue of Biafra I feel that if Nigeria can use superior argument rather than force on IPOB and Biafran agitators the issue might be resolved. Nigeria has not been too bad for the Igbo as people believe. In the 90's and 2000's the argument was that Igbo people could not be given sensitive positions in Nigeria as they were regarded as inferior citizens. Since then the Igbo have held the post of CBN governor, Finance minister, Army chief, Police chief, Petroleum minister with these post sometimes held all at once etc thereby weakening the claim of deliberate marginalisation. I feel that is the same way the claim of political marginalisation will be defeated. Democracy and nation building is a long race and not a short sprint and Nigeria has had only about 18 years of it therefore there is not enough material to reach a final analysis. The fear is that Nigeria might reverse this gains and go back to the practice of bigotry and tribalism as the election of Buhari the biggest African demagouge of the 21st century shows. Yes. Many northern minorities also complain of marginalization. Many FCT indigenes have been denied their rights as citizens of Nigeria. Many were resettled out of their ancestral lands in Abuja without compensation by the FG. Many like those in Southern Kaduna have been demanding for their own state due to Hausa domination. Many more. I think things like human rights in developing countries (Africa especially) are things that come gradually with time as the populace mature more mentally. The election of Buhari all boils down to tribal politics of sentiments. With the way things are going now, it is very clear that there will be a change of alliance in 2019 just as there was in 2011 and 2015. Although, apart from politics of tribal sentiments, allegations of corruption and the mere desire for change also brought about the election of Buhari. Although i was a staunch Goodluck supporter, i am still happy to an extent about Buhari's election, cos it sent a new wave of message all through Nigeria that power for 8 years in no longer mandatory and that every administration must sit tight or be thrown out every 4 years. That is more like the way democracy should be. Strong competition between every political tenure to outcompete the previous. |
