Yobe maybe, but maiduguri Na kwamacala hausa. Only those who are wit hausas or born in Hausa states, speak it fluently. Kanuris from Birniwa both old nd young speak fluently, but in Guri, only young ones speak it well, d old ones, use "ke" instead of "Kai" to refer to a Man or Boy:-)

Many kanuris from Borno speak terrible hausa. Many of us from the North-central even speak better Hausa than most Borno Kanuris.
I really admire Borno kanuris for fighting Hausanization by retaining their language (but it is obvious that it is due to their large population, or am i wrong?)
Why do Yobe Kanuris speak more hausa and appear hausanized more than Borno Kanuris?

But Hausa language still dominate Kanuri in most parts of Maiduguri city, or not?

Also, why don't Kanuris promote their ethnicity?

My place is not far from Hadejia, though we r among d eight( LGA unda Hadejia emirate: BIRNIWA, kaugama, Auyo, KIRIKASANMA, MALANMADORI, GURI, Gumel and Hadejia inclusive. Those I capitalized have many kanuris both in d cities nd villages.

I wonder why this is. Ignorance and generalization i think is the problem. Just as you and i would most likely be adressed as Hausas in most parts of the south.

I have many questions for you pls.

What about Bauchi? Do you know the Kanuri speaking parts of Bauchi state?

So, how do Kanuris, hausas and fulanis relate in Hadejia emirate?
Is the Emir-ship rotated or Kanuris are sidelined?
Kanuris or Hausas, who are the majority in the entire Hadejia emirate?
Are kanuris in Jigawa not facing serious hausanization? Having to share the same state and emirate with majority hausas, cos it's quite obvious that even Yobe state which is a kanuri dominated state is facing serious hausanization, or am i wrong?
I heard that there are some minority tribes e.g Bade in Jigawa state too, whose communities are extended from Yobe state. How true?

There are millions of hausa speakers in Ghana, i am not sure of their ethnicity, but it seems like they are not native hausas, because of the way they speak.

I have met many of them here in Nigeria and some are even family friends.

I have even seen Hausa movies and tv adverts from Ghana.

You are partially correct.
Kano, Zaria, Jigawa and Katsina are trying to some extent. They are gradually making some progress educationally.
But Yobe, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi are something else. They seem to be regressing. Why is this so?

Ivorians look so much like Nigerians (beautiful) and they are your neighbours (Ghana) and share the same ethnic groups with you.....It is obvious that Ghanaians and Kenyans must have intermixed somewhere along the line
