Why are many Ghanaians and Kenyans bitter about the fact that Nigeria has many naturally light skinned peoples and tribes?? They always site bleaching, whereas we all know that bleaching affects the entire Africa, even India and other tropical nations and not just Nigeria.

Even the colonial masters attested this fact in some colonial documents that many Nigerian peoples were light skinned. (or does any Kenyan or Ghanaian need the proofs)?

For instance, bleaching or not, everyone (even the Kenyans) too know that Tanzania has more naturally light skinned people than them.
Ghanaians know that Ivorians have more naturally light skinned people than them.

It is stupid for black people to use light skin/dark skin to judge themselves on beauty standards, the only 2 black African women who have won miss world were not light skinned.

Why are white people tanning their skins to look darker?

For instance, no matter how much British people tan their skins, they will still never look as Olive/tanned white as the Spanish and other meditarranean peoples.
That does not stop both the Spanish and Britains from being the same Caucasian white race.
We are the way we are!

To all the shameless Ghanaians here who are accusing Nigerians of being obsessed with light skin.

You would think Nok artifacts are the earliest until you consider that Nigeria's a very big place with diverse history. The Dafuna canoe discovered in Yobe state alone was dates back 8,500 years ago making it the oldest boat ever discovered in Africa and the second oldest in the world.
No Ancient Egyptian nor Ancient Greek nor Mesopotamia nor Ancient China's boat date back that far. In fact, when the Dafuna boat was constructed around 6,550 BC, Ancient Egypt was not in existence yet as it would take another 2,000 years. It predates the next oldest boat/oldest Egyptian boat, the Khufu ship, constructed in 2,500 BC by 4,000 years.

I really wonder why fulani herdsmen are just very bad and terrible people with wicked minds. They engage in robbery and even highway robbery not just in the north alone now but also in the south too.

Are the Badawas predominantly christian or muslims?
Are they battling with Hausanization or Kanurinization as a minority group close to Kanurisband Hausas?

First of all, Kanuri is d major language spoken in Borno some tribes like Maghi, Babur, shuwa arabs, speak it fluently jst like most kanuris in Adamawa speak fulani very well. It's hard to differentiate sum Marghis frm Kanuris, because de speak Kanuri most times xcept if de want to gossip. D difference x dis; Marghis have many christians, I tink de speak more English.


A Kanuri girl from borno, told me that; most kanuris beat dere children if dey spk hausa- And also used a derogatory words " Afuno Banza" ( Hausas r useless). My father use to say; " Hausas can't b trusted, they can swear heaven nd earth even if de are lying and they are disrespectful, they r very abusive." I can attest to d lying and abusive because I have Hausas as cousins, Nephews and Nieces'- it seems de r born with it.



Our best friends r d fulanis, Marghis r our brodas,Shuwa na we dey marry dem girls like we dey do fulanis , Babur hate us diie.infact, d miyyetti Allah chairman in Guri LG is a kanuri( I dunno how its happened).

I have been to Southern Borno, Adamawa and most parts of the North-east except Yobe.

I think most Marghis who speak Kanuris are those marghi muslims from Damboa LGA, who have been largely 'Kanurinized'. And also, those marghis who have stayed in Maiduguri.
Shuwa arabs speak kanuri of course, they are nomadic people who settled in Kanuri land.
But most people from Southern Borno do not speak Kanuri. They speak their own languages and Hausa as a lingua franca.

In Adamawa, fulani is spoken by the smaller minority tribes, but Hausa still remains the major lingua franca. Large tribes like Higgi, Bachama, Chamba, Kilba e.t.c do not speak fulani and many of them, including the fulanis cannot speak Hausa well. But Hausa is gainning ground better in Adamawa from what i have observed.

I never knew that first lady could not speak Hausa well, that's interesting to know.

My people (Plateau/Southern kaduna) are actually believed to be descendants of Nok kingdom (the oldest in SubSaharan Africa and one of the oldest in the world).
Only Egypt and Nubia kingdoms were earlier than Nok.
