vivianc: @odenigbo, stop saying what u dont know biko. So they committed sacrilege and was sacrificed to the gods, dead or alive? And the gods protected and flourished them? Hahaha, typical nlander, boasting in ignorance. Erm.... Is sacrilege not a sin against god? Nd they were considered 'clean' to live in the shrines? So amadioha protected people that committed sacrilege. So the dialas that ran into the shrines to be protected from slave masters also committed sacrilege? Nna ga nodi ala biko.
I'm pretty busy now so we will talk about this later. *back to my linear programming jare*

Abagworo: There is no challenge. You mentioned one village in Nkwerre which has over 20 villages, where are the remaining 19 from? If the real natives were kind enough to give land to an Nri stranger, then he should appreciate and not turn around to lay claim to founding Nkwerre. The thing Nri people were known for in the past was there belief in truth but Nri people of nowadays have spoilt that revered reputation by trying to rewrite history and lying about being from Israel and all Igbos coming from one Jewish Eri.
Nri is not lieing about anything; The problem I have with you people is your disrespectfulness toward Nri. Go to Edo,the Benin kingdom is held high,so,with Ife in Yoruba land the Yoruba revere the Ife kingdom. Why can't you people do the same for Nri. Everything that gives the Igbo pride about their culture originated from Nri.

odumchi: I'm sorry to say it, but this thread is a joke. I don't even know where to begin.
What's the joke about it ? I'm afraid Antivirus has raised some very valid point here. There has always been some misconception about the Igbo, especially, from the Igbo themselves. How can one say that Ojoto,Umuoji and Obosi was founded by some unknown Aro warrior ? Wtf? And for some reasons these warrior leave no footprints of their Aro culture. Its a big insult and whenever I confront people about this issue the look lost...smh

Antivirus92: Continuing from where i stopped. Nri or eri is not a clan in igboland. An ogwashi ukwu or an enugwu-agidi man can not come out and tell u that he is nri unlike aro or ngwa man that will tell u that he is ngwa or aro. Nri/eri is igbo.
You have a valid point, here. I guess we have allowed foreigners to write our history for us. That's why Abagworo thinks he is related to Onicha more than an Obosi man.

If there will be mutual respect, tolerance and transparent let them go ahead. But if the south-south will start thinking the south-east want to dominate them and take their oil they can go f'ck themselve.

KenGali: Ada I thought you were fluent in Igbo.
I am from Mbaukwu too! So you are my Sister.
Thats why am getting ready to recount the Omenala (traditional rights)for NRIPRIEST.

Have you been to Mbaukwu before?
I was just mentioning the villages and streams to see if you recognize them.
Actually the many streams are what I love the most about Mbaukwu. It is located on a hill and surrounded by about 4 streams.

odumchi: Amadiora isn't mine. According to Chinua Achebe, it's yours. Since none of you have bothered to provide any substantial evidence to dispel that, I'm forced to maintain my belief.
Other than in his book I want to know where Achebe openly claimed that Igbo in the north has "Amadiora".

You keep mentioning "Amadiora" but you forgot to understand that the book which Chinua wrote was a work based on the reflect of Igbo traditions and not a comprehensive Nri portrayal. He may have reflected the traditions of other Igbo groups in his books. My point is that just because Achebe metion "Amadiora" doesn't mean Northern Igbo had it. For example, the stories of the "Ibini Ukpabi" reached the northern Igbo but they never had it. If you know any northern group that has "Amadiora" let me know,so,we can nip this in the bud. I know Ogidi like I know Umuoji and Ogidi doesn't have "Amadiora".
