Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by NSE19: 7:52am On Jun 27, 2023
Good morning,

Please is it advisable to apply directly for the six months UK tourist visa after a US student visa rejection in April this year.

I work in an organization with a presence all over the world,
My only travel history is to Ghana for two days; my passport was stamped.
I have about 3m in POF.

Do I apply to the UK right away for holiday in December or visit another African country for holiday before applying.

Please your feedback would be greatly appreciated as I have to be in the UK in December but I do not want to risk another rejection. Thank you.

Thank you for your response.

I don't know, but for some reason, I was temporarily blocked on here and just saw your comment.

My Experience
I called their customer care yesterday and made payment at about 2 pm, payment was confirmed, and I received my SEVIS receipt at 4 am this morning. So in all, it took less than 24 hours to process. (Please note that I did not pay for express but normal service).

Just like you, I had a seamless experience!!

Please, can I fill my DS-160 form before paying my Visa fee at GTBank?

Elsah:

I paid on Friday night. They confirmed my payment the next morning. I did transfer. Today, my order was processed. They wanted to process it yesterday but I didn’t calculate the dollars well, so I had to pay my outstanding balance which they communicated to me via email promptly. You can also track your order on the app. They have a 24/7 customer service and you can always reach out to them via email regarding any concern. Response and delivery is super swift. They don’t operate like normal Nigerians. They are reliable, safe, swift and not too pricey. I had a pleasant experience! 🥰😁. God bless the person that recommended it to me.

For CIMA, certification is only ready in January every year. So if you write it middle of this year, you cant evaluate until after you get the certificate in January 2023

Thanks. Should I start my ECA now or wait till I get certificate for this course

Thank you Dimple.

My supervisor does not have his IDcard anymore. What would you suggest?

Dimple10:
What matters really is your Job description outlined in the reference letter matching whatever NOC you chose and your reference letter coming out in the required format. So ensure that everything matches then it can fly and your Supervisor does not need company letterhead. what he needs is to write on plain paper a reference letter as your supervisor stating JD, annual or monthly salary, hours worked per week etc. They should sign and include contact info on the letter as well as a copy of their work ID card ( i assume they still have even though they no longer work for the org).

Hello, thank you for your response.

Any idea what to do if he does not have his ID Card? We ususally submit our ID cards when we leave.

Yellowmellow:

He can use normal paper but also attach a copy of his ID card. Then you’d follow it up with an loe.

This wait is so long!!!!

I worked in a company for 1 year and 9 months. I joined as a graduate trainee ( this was supposed to be for 11 months but due to COVID was extended to 1 year and 1 month unofficially). During my GT rotation, I mostly worked with Strategy team and after the GT program, i became a Strategy Analyst.

Late last year when I reached out to HR, I was told my reference letter would carry
Graduate trainee May 20xx-June 2020 and Strategy Analyst May 2020 - December 2020 ( the dates are for demo)
Strategy Analyst January 20xx - December 20xx

My supervisor said he would give me a letter with
Graduate trainee (Strategy Analyst) May 20xx-Jan 20xxx
Strategy Analyst Feb 20xx -june 20xx

Last night, I found out that my former supervisor has left the organisation.

My question is how do I make this Graduate Trainee Role Fly?
Is there anything my former supervisor can do given he does not have access to the companies letterheaded paper?

I really want to look back at this post and say truly, there was light at the end of the tunnel.

Fantastic!
Did you have tax clearance certificate? Or can you please share the documents you showed for the business?
Thank you

KellyKk:

I submitted CAC that was inactive too , and my eligibility is passed already, so no qualms with that
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by NSE19: 4:09pm On Apr 22, 2022
The company does not have. Money is paid into a personal account

francisxbee:

If the company has a Bank Account under its name that has been active, then there's no need for any reactivation. Just show bank statement of company account.

Good afternoon Nairalanders and Gurus in the house.

I just searched for my parents company name on the CAC website and it shows that it is inactive. I have researched all the steps to activate it and we would need to have audited financial statements. (this one is a long shot o). The business which is a shop in lagos market is still running but without solid books

Kindly advise if there is need to reactivate on CAC website.

Secondly,
If I pay my fees before study permit application, do I need to show the Statement of Account my fees was paid from??

Please nairalanders and gurus, kindly treat as urgent

Hello Everyone , Pleease I would appreciate your response.
NSE19:
Hello Everyone,

I am a silent reader of the thread and I would like to ask a few questions I am not clear on.

This is my situation.

My mom is a trader in Eko Idumota market and has only CAC registration of the business.
My aunty(mums sister) is a nurse in the US and can act as my co-sponsor and she is currently my sister's guardian in the US.
My dad is a developer and has a block of flats in just his name and currently developing another block of flats on a 25year agreement. (I would prefer not to involve my dad because he is not really in support)

Over one year, my aunty has sent about 60,000USD to my mum for my school purpose. Part of the money was used to buy land for my aunty when my admission did not come through while My mum withdrew the remaining 30k from her dorm account and gave to my dad to fund his building project.

My initial plan was to use my mum as my main sponsor, but if the dorm account is presented, the only source of credit to that account is my aunty. So I think that would raise questions.

Now my mum has 8k USD balance in her dorm and about 1.5million closing balance and no landed properties. The account has very good inflow and outflow especially because she changes the USD and puts into her account for disbursement.
Our plan
-is to build the account with 1.5million every month to have about 6million closing balance by September when I want to apply for my study permit. (this would be exclusive of paid tuition and living expenses) Would this be enough to show as POF/balance after taking care of tuition and living expenses OR do I still need to show 10million/30,000CAD minimum balance?

- Pay my full year tuition fees from the 8k USD dorm balance and additional money from my dad OR pay my full year tuition fees through my Aunty. Does the VO need to see the account statement from where I paid my tuition fees?

- For my 25th birthday, my aunty gives me a "gift" of 10,000CAD to support my plans to further my studies. This would be a gift deed. Is this suspicious or too much to give the first granddaughter of the family as "birthday gift"?

Lastly, what documents would I need to show for my Sponsor who is a business woman and is not properly documented?

I really look forward to the responses.

Hello @GraciousWords , Thank you for your response to my post.
I rewrote IELTs and now my score is 468.

Previously I had L=8.5, S=8, W=7.5, R=7.5
Now I have L=8,S=7.5, W=7.5, S=7.5

I would give it one more try to reach 465.
Thank you for always!

#PersonalOpinion

*OINP NOIs are not random (red)
*What do you have to lose? (apart from the IELTS exam fee)
*Do you have a strategy for which competence you plan to shave off the 6 points in (LRW or S)? I assume you currently have CLB 10 on all except W.
*What alternatives do you have i.e. if you do not go for OINP, what is the plan?

Write a list of pros and cons of "OINP versus "whatever the alternative is", and I think the best option will become a bit clearer.

Pls read here again:

Hello Everyone,

My NOC is 1122 which falls under the Ontario Human Capital Priority stream. Currently my CRS is 471 which is higher than the 465-467 CRS Invited by Ontario (NOI). Is it a wise idea to rewrite IELTS so my scores can reduce and fall within the NOI CRS range? or should I forget about this given that the NOI is random and not guaranteed even if I meet all the criteria ?

I would really appreciate all opinions and advice. Thank you

Good evening all,

I am at the point of creating my express entry profile and I am in a dilemma.

I have almost four years of work experience in 4 jobs across 3 NOCs but one is for one year and continuous in the same NOC and would be my primary NOC.
I would like to know if I would get crs points for the jobs that are not in the same NOC as my primary NOC?
Basically I want to clarify if I need to have the three years in the same NOC to get maximum CRS points for work experience.

Please this is urgentttt. THANK YOU ALL

You can take ACCA to give two or more degrees and that is 33 points extra

Happyfellow147:
Hello everyone I'm about starting this journey. I have simulated my score without my husband (we are not going together, he'd join afterwards) and it's about 440 if I max out my IELTS.
What can I do to improve my scores?
I'm a Chartered Accountant- Ican, have about 6 years of experience. No Msc.
Must I go through the study route?
