jlinkd78: Nnamdi Kalu is highly cerebral and has once again displayed indeed that wisdom is profitable to direct. He is truly a scholar of contemporary history and is one man his trajectory has been consistent. While all were expecting him to be happy with d humiliation of OUK by d Fulanis having previously warned him of d inevitable end, he has once again disappointed them. He also disappointed d 'masturbating masturbaters " when d Air Peace Allen Onyema indictment came up. He holds no grudges against his foes and can boast of having forewarned them. Orji Uzor Kanu denigrated his own people to be a RUGA slave but las las his greatest fear which is confinement behind d bars has come calling. I gave up on OIL when during d RUGA controversy he came up in a national television to hype himself how he introduced RUGA in Abia State during his tenure as Abia governor. Aboki no dey forgive. One ruled out of 2023 permutations. It's all about political expediency I wonder how you Ibos reason.... This case has been in the courts for more than 10 years.... If the judgement had been delivered during GEJs tenure then it's the Ijaws that witch-hunted him abi? |

Gazzy88: He's been paying salary but what of deductions he accused amosun of owing? Ask any civil servants if they've received their deduction since Dapo took over the reins of power. Which activities were you referring to that hasn't been happening during amosun era? Ogun tech hub or what? Dapo abiodun is already a failure until he proves himself right. That guy is a big thief stealing codedly. Haba bro, as much as I won't rate his performance average, he has been paying deductions.... He pays deduction for each month, the backlog of 5 months Amosun owed is still pending.. |

Very true...
What do you expect from a governor who abandoned his official residence to fly in by helicopter from his personal house in Banana island... He's totally cut off from the reality on ground.
All the roads in the state are in total disrepair, yet no sign of the so-called Work's Dept.... The moment he decided to bring everyone onboard including opposition parties, I knew he was destined to fail..... |

Awoo88: I did not take economics 101. Can you kindly in a very shot sentence tell me.why Tbill should pay lowest interest and why this a good news Logic says the right the interest, the higher the risk involved. Tbills is the safest form of investment, hence it's rate should be lower.... The lower rate will also encourage investment in the real sector (agric and manufacturing). I know of individuals who shut down his business, invested his funds in Tbills, was earning 800k every quarter. If the trend continues, most people will close shop, sit at home to earn interests leading to more job loses. Also, some commercial banks were diverting their funds to OMO and Tbills, collecting interest and declaring profit thus neglecting lending to businesses. Few months back, CBN tasked banks to give out 65% of their total deposit as loans, failure to do so will be met with sanction. Banks are now being forced to give out loans. I'm sure th CBN will reduce the MPR benchmark in the next few weeks since the cost of funds will also drop |

bizhop01: No be by force to comment, what good about this if you are investor? Is it a must that you quote me? By standard Tbills ought to carry the lowest rate cos it is almost risk free.... You are guaranteed principal and interest in as much as Nigeria still exist. The CBN ought not to compete with commercial banks in securities market, it offers Tbills at margins far higher than commercial bank fixed deposit which carries a higher risk. |

The MPR, much more than the TB rate, determines bank rates. I expect the MPR to to slashed at the next committee meeting. |

Just2endowed2: You think so? Guy wake up. Bank lending rate will never fall. That crook cbn governor had so much enrich bank books and make banks more lazy.
If nigeira is following the principle of economics, all rates from cbn and commercial banks ought to have been reduced, but rather the cbn governor is enriching the banks and his foreigns friends. Why did he kick individuals out of the omo market and allow commercial banks and his crook foreign friend to control the market? It will fall, it is alreading falling..... With the LDR cap of the CBN, it is a must for banks to give out loans.... This increased competition coupled with low cost of funds will bring down lending rate. |

SalamRushdie: How is this good news , the govt first excludes many parties from OMO which lured people toward treasury bills and then they reduce the interest rates Why are people lured to govt investments? The aim of Tbills and OMO are to control inflation not to enrich individuals... Govt intends encouraging people to invest in the real sector of the economy. Reduction in rates will also ensure reduction in lending rates. ... Banks will soon start lending below 20% |

The truck in question looks more like a Lafarge cement truck meaning it departed from Ewekoro, Ogun state.... Also, most of the braking issues arise after loading up. |
