PoliticsRe: How N50bn intended bribe forced Jonathan to ignore the advice by PDP by nuclearboy(m): 6:44am On Jan 11, 2012
This "story" is simply that - a story! Sadly, its neither bright nor sensible. The only good thing about it is that we don't know the turds that originally wrote it.

But if such "damage control" is coming out, I guess GEJ is about to throw in the towel and needed a way to retain some of his credibility thus the "story"

Fact - this makes him look even worse

1. NOI said publicly that neither she nor GEJ said April - this directly contradicts that assertion
2. GEJ is made out as Koruji said - an unpresidential president using dirty tricks to win against "smugglers" and "cabal(s)"rather than weilding the legitimate power he has access to.
3. A terrible stinking story was the best all the paid mouths in government could find as defense - shows how the dregs of society have taken over this govt.

Luckily, Beaf states he is not Omokri - praise God! I would have been totally disappointed if he were!
PoliticsRe: Subsidy: Local Assembly Plants To Supply 6,000 Buses by nuclearboy(m): 6:15am On Jan 11, 2012
I hope they are also ordering forks & knives with these buses. If Nigerians are now to eat buses, govt must realise that ordinary hands can't serve iron into our mouths.

And pls, how many will service the road to my farm which has made me change the absorbers on my SUV twice now?

Seriously, is "borrowed" transport the way to convince Nigerians that we are serious? First, 1100 buses and now 6000! Won't the loans taken to acquire these be paid back? Is it Naija roads that these will ply? These same roads that wreck vehicles daily? Would that reduce the cost of a bag of pure water from 150 to 60? Would those buses provide light in our homes since Nepa is comatose?

GEJ may have good intentions but these "stories" make him look bad as they show lack of understanding of the problem.

1. Do NOT buy more cars to worsen traffic - FIX the bad roads and allow us spend less navigating bushes etc to move
2. Do not tell me you'll build railways - show me on the ground rather than in your mouth
3. Fix power so we don't need pms to watch TV etc
4. Address corruption - make examples so we know its not just talk
5. Stop with the noise! Propaganda is irritating and suggests insincerity, just DO your job

I don't think we hate GEJ but talk talk talk na wai
PoliticsRe: All Gej Has Achieved Is Fill The Pockets Of His Beafs With Blood Money by nuclearboy(m): 5:55am On Jan 11, 2012
I honestly don't know what Beaf is angry about here. GEJ was warned - people have been pushed to the wall and it was either enter the wall or fight back: NO CHOICE really!

Comparing this to Odi makes no sense since even your Jonathan was a part of that.

I see Jonathan right now as just exhibiting pride (ergo "if I back down, they will say they won me"wink- but who is they? HIS EMPLOYERS!

As it is, history tells us that once protests begin, government never gets truly going again in Nigeria. Ask IBB or even Abacha, talk less of a democratic govt. And this is all his fault - had some intellect been used, he could have avoided all this.

Finally, your rioting on NL's pages only spoils jonathan's case more

PoliticsRe: What Would You Do If Your Were Goodluck Ebele Jonathan? by nuclearboy(m): 10:32am On Jan 08, 2012
About 30 years ago, I read a story of an ibo chief who was so obsessed with a woman who didn't want him that AFTER she died, he slept with her corpse. The next ranking chief caught him at this and started blackmail collecting all his dues as head villager. His grandson wondered why grandpa brought nothing home again and eventually got the story from him. The BOY (child) advised him.

He was deliberately late to the next meeting and they has shared all the "bounty" before he arrived! When he came, he faked anger and screaming said " who do you think you are? How dare you slight me by taking my portion behind my back? I am the oldest, strongest and bravest here! I am SO brave that I even sleep with the dead! If anyone doubts me, let him speak and I will kill him on the spot".

Everyone kept quiet and he seized ALL the bounty (not even just his normal share) and went home. of course, no man could blackmail him after because he he gone further than they could go as regards blackmailing him!

GEJ got there via fradulence! It is time for him to come clean and break away from his masters! We will support "sincerity" and purpose, NOT rhetorics! If he can take the example above and behave like a man rather than listening to people trying to destroy him, people will actually emphatise with him and he will be able to move ahead.

Else this issue will be his doom! Quote me!!

prices will begin to come down depending on market forces
I thought they said this woman was a VP at the world bank! No wonder the world's economy got into this sorry state if the world was listening to such as this character! I won't insult the President but this NOI is a travesty of judgement on his part, plus bereft of shame & intellect to boot!

She herself said during the NOI, SLS and DAM versus Falana, Agbakoba and Bruce debate that consultations were "still" ongoing and that before April when "expected" kickoff would be, more consultations would occur!

Worse, its "market forces" or in other words, theoretical postulations that the government depends upon to help them regulate prices? What is history's position? What price(s) has ever come down in Nigeria? If indeed there was a cabal controlling the market, does the present scenario not play into their hands even more?

How sensible people can follow or trust such people beats me
PoliticsRe: Rented Government ‘protesters’ Queue For Payment - Pictures. by nuclearboy(m): 3:44pm On Jan 07, 2012
I cannot speak for "Gbawe" but I wish to ask a question - who has EVER seen protesters line up AFTER a protest before? What are they queueing for? Was there "registration for voters card" after?

Or perchance the idea was to write their name in case government or others wish for a list of all those in their support?

Let's be honest for once. Something strange happened here
PoliticsRe: A Must Read ! Before You Go Out For Any Protest: by nuclearboy(m): 9:37pm On Jan 06, 2012
SLS left more questions than answers.

1. Who is supposed to ensure efficiency in the fuel importation chain? Is it nuclearboy or govt?

2. If answer to above is "govt", then who is the failure at his job(s)?

3. If I fail at my job, who should be punished for failing? Me abi ba Beaf?

4. Why even, are we talking about importation? Why are we NOT talking about local refining? Who failed Nigeria there?

5. He says corruption is "heavy" - how many have been punished for corruption? What deters anyone from wrong when there's no punishment for it?

6. Why did GEJ promise transformation when he knew the system was stronger than he is? Why should the man on the street suffer for his inability to deliver what he promised?

7. On govt wastage, let's be honest - govt uses maybe 40% of all the PMS imported on motorcades, senseless driving around! 40% of 1.3trillion is 520Billion. That alone exceeds subsidy in previous years and SLS gets part of that. Why not do something about this "fat-cat" benefit before visiting mayhem on poor people?

These people cannot face a one on one debate is why they avoid such and just give "lectures" then run away!

Decrees? That is NOT democracy, friend!

And I want us to go back to reality - the "primary" purposes of government are WELFARE & SECURITY. Hunger is not a sign of welfare.

Bottom line - govt should show its sympathy by leading as it ought. Until then, all they say is gist - if its good for us to sacrifice, same goes for them
PoliticsRe: Gej And All Fec Members To Donate 30% Of Their Salary by nuclearboy(m): 9:18am On Jan 06, 2012

@Beaf:

grin

Dictators? LOL - well, even the most "maximum" of them all didn't dare Nigeria like this! And iron-man OBJ also was more careful! The last few days have shown GEJ is the biggest dictator of all - killing peaceful protesters, damning the constitution in ignoring the NASS, ignoring 160million people etc

I am the last person to expect GEJ to change all things in a year because I actually didn't support him STARTING from the day Dokpesi joined his campaign team - eat with satan suggests you are demonic (to me)! Prior to that, I'd readily kill on GEJ's behalf!

All I want as a person is that GEJ treats the vultures around him like he treats the man on the street! I suspect that's what most want! Plus an obvious commitment to a reduction in waste, a respect for "ordinary" people and a respect for law would be nice.

However, your "democrat" has gone outside the NASS in implementing this policy, has killed protesters, has lied to us openly (even Abacha avoided that) etc! Abeg tell me who the more maximum is amongst them all!

I like you dude! Sharp, erudite, very verbose and truly loyal (maybe to your stomach if your detractors are believed) but you have one problem - you assign to yourself only the concept of intelligence and understanding! Plus believe it or not, critics are no enemies! If GEJ follows our suggestions, history will praise HIM and not US. But us all will enjoy it - that is our only profit.
PoliticsRe: Gej And All Fec Members To Donate 30% Of Their Salary by nuclearboy(m): 8:37am On Jan 06, 2012
I love your response! "Abuja has ALWAYS" been profligate", right? So it should continue and worsen? Do you remember the campaign slogans? "FRESH AIR" & "TRANSFORMATION", right? What you just said is that he willfully LIED, deliberately fooled everyone that he would MAKE A DIFFERENCE knowing it was going to be "same no ni", ehn? How does that stack up with our hopes?

Plus, Beaf, this matter is all about leadership by example! When Idiagbon whipped a few, the others got into line! if Bankole, etc were in jail for 150 years WITH hard labor right now, things would be different! If GEJ removed his head from otedola's arsehole and insisted things go the right way, things would be different! If he kicked Maduekwe to the curb and insisted NNPC show probity, things would be different! If he didn't have ludicrous positions almost resembling "assistant on doing number 1 and number 2 in the toilet", things would be different!

Expand these to your hearts delight!

So there!
PoliticsRe: Gej And All Fec Members To Donate 30% Of Their Salary by nuclearboy(m): 8:25am On Jan 06, 2012
^^

Do you then agree that it was profligacy under GEJ that brought us to this sorry state?

Do you accept that a reasoning government should first remove the forest in its eyes before complaining about specks in the publics eyes?

Does it make sense for Jonathan to get subsidized to the tune of billions whist those who voted him are starving?

Given that you accept above that it is corruption, whose role is it to tackle that? Mine, yours or Jonathan? Clue - who gets paid for that?? Second clue - when you fail at fulfilling your constitutional role, who should be blamed?

Should Jonathan have one special assistant on "media" and another on "new media"? When does "ancient media", "post-Christ media", "machiavellian media" and "pre-independence media" get their own representatives? Is it fair they being marginalised?

Truth is simply - "e get as e be" - all the brouhaha resulted from government corruption.

The day you accept the truth and tell it to Jonathan, you'll be surprised how "free" you be feel!

@efisher:

Whist totally appreciating what you have said, I think you should also consider that corruption is likely the reason why subsidy has become a problem today! We all watched and saw Billions upon billions change hands to ensure election victory last year. We all have seen and heard cases of mind-boggling profligacy and mindless stealing! Why is it after such a ridiculous excuse for an election that subsidy went up?

Did you not read that the first 6 months were normal? Why only after the "election" did we start using 55mill liters up from 27mill? Did everyone go out and buy 2 cars + 2 generators in that month? There are "primary" issues and secondary ones! What we see today which people are complaining about is that corruption INFLATED the true cost AND IF NOT DEALT with first, it will equally consume any "savings" which by the way, the man on the street is now paying for!

Give this government 200 Trillion dollars and in 5 months, you will hear promises and excuses. Their precedences and history shows that. That's why people are angry. Show that probity is now the order and people will back down

Thought you were expecting people to start dying before accepting there is a problem. Seems your side believes the other side daft and bereft of sincerity when our posts above show what the truth is. Think about it. As I just read, Sambo will spend 45 million on newspapers this year. That's 360 newspapers daily! How many are there in Nigeria? How then can that man ask a starving family to sacrifice? Sacrifice what? Life??

PoliticsRe: Gej And All Fec Members To Donate 30% Of Their Salary by nuclearboy(m): 6:25am On Jan 06, 2012
grin. What would 30% of their salaries do when allowances alone exceed one Billion? Who would trust that an announced "donation" is not followed by a quietly applied increase in "allowances"?

Way its going, this seems not a quarrel about fuel subsidy but one about corruption, wrong priorities and greed in high places!

You want a proposal? Okay, let them reduce national recurrent expenditure from 72% to 45% across board! Let the NASS reduce their total pay package by 70%! 30% of at least 20 million each is still 3 million per month. That is enough for "public SERVANTS". The pesident can bloody well feed himself and family and there is no frigging need for every dunce in govt to have an official trained with Nigerian funds, stand behind him always - let those policemen go to work as detectives etc rather than as ADCs.

Govt uses too much fuel on escort cars. Let ministers pay for their fuel and only the president and VP be fueled by the country. And 10 cars is enough for ANY motorcade rather than dozens and 5 mile long road blocks.

When such as these are seen, the man on the street will feel easy but right now, gej supporters feel they have been lied to and cheated and won't listen to "palliatives" such as a fake 30% "donation" out of Billions

Why humor such with a response? Within hours of the noise of "SS\SE not protesting" haven't we see protests that overtook even the first ones and got to CNN? Was it not just yesterday that Niger Delta ex-militants warned that they would avange any civilian deaths and that this regime is self-serving and not working for their interests? Same ex-militants went as far as saying further delay in back-tracking would unleash them on govt agents and installations, didn't they?

I'd like to see anybody state something even vaguely resembling the above about GEJ. Sad that even Beaf won't find in himself the capability to lie that well.

GEJ had a chance to make history & if he had toed the path of honor, he would today be a revered statesman celebrated all over the world. But he chose to allow the allure of Aso Rock steal his better reasoning and from that point onwards has stayed on the path of self-immolation, vilifying himself without mercy!

Sad that fresh air has now become a cursed phrase - no matter how this ends, the man is damned (as it were) forever! When it will truly dawn on him how bad his position is, is when he leaves power and such as Abati, Iweala and Beaf turn against him as surely they will.

"SOME" marketers, "SOME" withdrawals, "SOME WICKEDNESS", "SOME", "SOME", "SOME"

Does this type of propaganda show respect to those reading? What happened to the maxim "respect begets respect" when you tell us effectively with such drivel that you consider us base-minded?

In aid of propaganda, the word "SOME" is splashed around to give the impression that real work is being done when nothing is. It might thus be a good idea to replace "SOME" with specifics - many of us are reasonable and will listen to the government position if they would show respect for our intellects by not trying to sell such obviously daft stories to us as fact!

Else arrest the "SOMEs" and let us have peace!

PS: what have the marketers lost anyway? They still get theirs, don't they? So who's the dimwit?

And who stayed behind when your rancid rabid attacks all but gave such as Jo semblance of sincerity again? We had shown him a fraud but Frosbel came to his rescue and made him look like a liberal response to the madness that initially did the exact same over the issue of Israel - when you've again destroyed the sensibilities where you are now, won't you again move ahead to the next section?

1. You are at least as guilty as oyb (if he indeed is a fanatic)!. Remove the log in your eyes first is what Christ said, not the one in oyb's eyes!

2. The records are there and make your dishonesty obvious. My intelligence has not being called into question - your honesty\sincerity and capability for truth are what are under fire.

3. On leaving "Religion", ask yourself where Enigma, e36691 etc are - we left "Religion" to the Religious!! Plus if I indeed shamed Christ's Name, He Himself did more when He called your progeny "hypocrites", "without truth" and a "generation of vipers" - I never used such to describe any of you.

let me step in here

@Frosbel:

You are a disappointment if you call oyb a religious fanatic for telling the truth, what then do you call me who is even further on YOUR side than you yourself are?

Christ did not support people because they were His friends, or did he? He once, as it were, called Peter "satan", didn't he? So where do you come off redefining truth simply because Buhari is Muslim and GEJ is "supposedly" Christian (I don't know when OOO became a Christian outfit).

Buhari has spoken the simple honest truth and you have NO proof that he is working to undermine this nation in the sidelines. If he is guilty of inciting riots after the elections, truth compels us to accuse pastor Adeboye of the exact same thing - he also asked Nigerians to defend their votes! Buhari's antecedents actually suggest that this man is likely the one man most probably working for this nation's progress. You should go ask for forgiveness for using your myopic speculations as fact and inciting trouble here whist sitting far away in the safety of the UK.

Your posts above show nothing of the truth you claim to follow and Christ must be ashamed of you. Truth, not evil speculations. Facts brought forward in humility, not rancid opinions better suited to beer parlors.

The points mooted above about the role of the C-in-C as opposed to regional leaders\elite is spot on. Tribal barons, religious leaders and such-like have been responsible for the damage in this country for too long. Reasoning minds should thus support calls for a presidential "President" who takes his role back, girds his loins and delivers.

A desire that regional leaders do the work and act the role of the president, is no more than a vote of no confidence being passed in a subtle manner on the president.

Point is, he promised "transformation, security, et al" - HE, not others is meant to fulfill that and Nigeria has given him all her power to help him fulfill "HIS" words
