dru23: I for no answer you at all. The guy dey defame my business and character. There is proof of him defaming me online.. you no talk that 1
Abi na you be 2cribz ? I already found out who the guy was 2months ago, he has another moniker that he uses that is totally different in character. He is not worth jailing or pursuing, from what I know about him, he is just catching cruise. He is in the league of those millionaires online but pauper real life. If you need his private info, you will need to get a police report for his details and address to be revealed through a letter from the Lagos state Commissioner of police. Secondly stop flinging money around because you have it, if you are thorough within a month the guy can be caught just ensure you take note of his online maligning of your person and business as evidence and don't publicize your pursuit of justice against him. |

Car Talk › Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by nurey(m): 6:42pm On Jan 27, 2025 |
Chartey: Hello guys, Pls my 08 Honda Civic (I-robot) is running rich (consuming fuel) at 12.1 - 12.3L/100km and smoking a bit. The smoke is not visible but one can smell it and there's some black soot in the exhaust.
The issue started over 2 months ago. My usual consumption used to range from 9.8 - 10.2L/100km till the the problem started.
There's no check engine light and no codes. Scanned myself and an electrician also did. Both upstream and downstream O2 sensors, catalytic converter and MAF sensor in place.
I've changed complete set of plugs twice. Used the common NGK the first time, and used one Belgium set the second time. On both occasions, I got improvements of only about 0.1L/100km.
My exhaust has been checked and they said no leaks.
I also told mech to change my pressure regulator (returner). There was no change.
The only significant change I made to the car before this issue started was changing the oil from the common Mobil 20/50 the former owner used to Castrol GTX 5/20 as recommended by Honda. Oil level has not dropped and there are no leaks.
The problem is frustrating because the car has been a really good car since I bought it till this issue started. And I no ready to dey save for engine replacement now.
Please help. Switch back to the Mobil 20w50, you engine cannot run on synthetic 5w30. Pray the bleach in the synthetic don't wash sludge down to strainer and oil pump make engine no go knock |

kelvinmnet: Hello gurus in the house, Please I need you input and explanation. (2007 Honda Accord 4 plugs)
Looking at the images attached, does my car consume fuel, because I no even understand the consumption thing and the calculation. From Egbeda to VI, Monday to Friday (Movement is between 5.30am and 4pm), I buy around 60k + fuel every week for my 2007 Honda Accord 4 plugs (with 4 passengers on both trips and without AC)
This morning just before leaving the house, I reset the TRIP A and TRIB B on the odometer to zero and also the Trip computer in the cars Navigation screen to zero. When I got to VI, the Odometer is showing 24.7 but the Trip computer is showing 40.4km.....why is there disparity in the trip calculator?
Also, is the car consuming fuel? Please help me understand the TRIP A and B meaning
After scanning the car, the only error code is the radiator thermostat.
Please help. The in car nav system is in KM while your trip meter is in MPH. to convert MPH to KM just multiply it by 1.6 your avg fuel consumption the 12.1L/100km is though a bit high for your vehicle but due to age, type of pms we have in naija and road conditions, it is manageable. |

If not, can you recommend any for me? I just want elegant, very fast, durable and easy to maintain car Yes Accord is a better choice |

buzquet: I want to buy two if these cars.
Please, kindly help me do a review between "Honda Civic 08 and Mazda6 08.
Also, Passat 2012 and Ford Edge 2015.
Which one is more Fuel efficency, easy to maintainance and availability of parts.
Also, about their errors
Thank you very much Civic is the best among your choice. Mazda6 part may be your issue and something about those Mazda years majority I come across have smoking engine also technicians can't fiddle with it like Toyota and Honda Passat are well built but our oil and fuel kills the engine and transmission easily, pls avoid their turbo charged engines. They are good when under warranty but as soon as warranty elapses they are money pits. Passat isn't for your average Joe when it comes to repair, you need a qualified technician to avoid trial and error which can be disastrous Ford Edge isn't different from the Passat, they are cheap to buy but expensive to maintain compared to Toyota and Honda. But if you have the funds for maintenance sure they are okay to own |

Key points. Efficiency Luxury Economy Maintenance Long distance travel and Cost if possible.
Thanks wwith all these your points just buy an highlander, Benz is not for managing, its cost alot to keep benz on the road, you also need a technician with an expensive scanner to help scan the vehicle when it needs repairs |

JohnSP99: Please I will like to get a comparison for Toyota Camry 2005, Honda CR-V 2004/05 and Toyota Rav4 2004. Things to put in mind 1. Efficiency for everyday use 2. Maintenance and repair 3. Long distance traveling 4. Fuel efficiency 5. Spacious and roomy For number 1 all your choice are very welcome, they will get the job done N0 2 the Honda has the best engine in all the line up, but cost of repair is not same across board but honda parts are cheaper and last longer than toyota. No 3 The Rav 4 or CRV will be very good because of the road, they have good ground clearance and cargo space for easy haulage. No 4 The camry i4 is the best fuel efficient vehicle among your choice. No 5 Both CRV and Rav 4 are roomy and spacious. for me i prefer CUV than sedans, i will pick the crv cause it is cheaper than the RAV 4 and will do samething as the RAV4 |

timlinofficial: Compare Ford Edge 2008 to Toyota Matrix 2003 Both NIG used Key point: Reliability, Maintenance, fuel Economy, parts availability, frequent problems If it's your first car, a matrix is better and safer to get, parts availability, reliability, technical know how abound and good gas mileage compared to the Ford edge. The only issue I know with ford edge is the internal water pump failure which is a disaster as it won't give you sign. Interns of parts ford are expensive but they last longer and more quality than Toyota. Resale value the matrix would command more even though metal for metal the Edge is more premium than the matrix. |

This is the side by side image of both plugs. Noticed the ring are of siddeenr width. The ring on the older one seems to be smaller. They both produce spark on the coil. From the image seems both plugs are not the same length. The one on the right looks longer by some few centimeters. That can cause the ignition issues |
