The code is for the upstream sensor the one b4 the catalyst. Your VIN number inputted in a Honda vin decoder will tell you exactly the engine in the vehicle provided it has not been changed b4

This is what i am saying, the part number for your CRV is specific, CRV of that year has two petrol engines K2.4A1 and K20 which are 2.4L and 2.0L and both sensors would be different on each engines. The particular part number you sent is for CRV RD4 and RD5 and from my research, RD4 is fWD 2.0L while RD5 is 2.0L AWD for both manual and Automatic.

your needed part number for upstream no 15 in the pix (b4 catalyst) and down stream no 16 in the pix (on the catalyst) is in the pix below. Also when you scanned what was the code the vehicle generated lets know what you need to replace. I use hondapartsnow to get my part number b4 i enter market looking for it.

Thing is, when I go to the market the product number is different from what I got online. They say it's because the online is denso while the ones they sale are china, as u said.

Catalyst has nothing to do with fuel economy.

I believe you need AF sensor as upstream is AF sensor, downstream is oxygen sensor.

No matter the make the part number remains same shouldn't change at all china or USA. For your catalyst you can buy spacer for the O2 sensor which will fix p0420 code. But without getting the AF sensor and Oxygen sensor right, your mpg will suffer. Carry the part number to oyingbo or contact Honda josh on NL to help you

I have over the years observed keenly, and noticed that commercial drivers in Nigeria are so rude, mean, aggressive(sometime violent) and uncultured. It is even much worse when they are talking to you on the phone, the way they raise their voice at you. I have never seen a calm and gentle commercial driver. Most are Drunks. They drink heavily and smoke.
What are the causative factors of this uncivil and indecent attitude among Our drivers?
Could it be due to Frustration resulting from hardship?
Could it be due to their low level of education, some are educated, but only a few. Lack of proper education affects the mind and how it reacts to simple issues. They get easily provoked to anger which is sometimes unnecessary.

Could it be due to the excessive intake of hard drugs and other intoxicating substances?

Is that how they handle their families at home?

Prices of car parts are also on the highside and mechanics charge more and try to fleece us everyday. But the work and its direction is what mostly makes us mad and angry, you have to be smart on the road and get to your destination very fast to be able to meet up with hire purchase quota and have extra to takecare of your family.

if you are too soft, the road will devour you, no be drink and igbo dey make us strong, nah the fear of losing everything made us who we are, we have to be tough, ruthless and uncultured to be able to take something home for us and our family.

lets start from the easiest.

since you are using water, i suspect the hose that connects the radiator to the reservoir tank has loose clips. try and get clips and retighten on both ends, if done and the reservior is now boiling then we can say problem dey.

Anyway, I cleaned the EGRV connector and that error is gone.

My issue now is overheating, after that fix mentioned above in my previous post, the hose that goes into the reserve radiator tank brings out steam and you can tell from the radiator hose that the engine is overheating.

I do not have any CEL, and my thermostat and fan works like factory default.

I'm not sure my thermostat is stuck close because the lower radiator house is also warm.

My temperature gauge is normal but I know the engine is overheating or close to it or maybe it's my mind.


Ps: I bled the cooling system 2 days ago.

1. are you using water or coolant?

2. is there significant reduction in the liquid in the radiator?

Thanks,I was able to scan the vehicle today and according to the electrician there is an issue with Solonoid2.The car was bought as naija use from a friend and also the transmission fluid is a little bit blackish

From online research, the DSL solenoid was causing the issue but you didn't tell us what code as others had shudder.

Some did the drain and refill twice and the issue went away.

Next they opened the pan and changed the DSL solenoid but care full with the wiring also for testing the DSL it is adviced you already have a replacement on ground before attempting to change or check. It is supposed to read 10 to 11ohms, any digression means it is faulty.

If after all these no long time relieve, prepare to change the whole transmission better and safer

Normally you should scan and get codes, the codes will determine what is wrong and what to do next whether repair or replace transmission.

For context
1. How long have you been using the vehicle trouble free?
2. Was it naija used or direct tokunbo
3. Did you change the transmission fluid, if yes what fluid and quantity was used to replace.
4. Take the transmission Guage if it has one put a drop of the fluid on a white tissue or your headlamp let's see if it is pink or blackish.

Scan the car, Nissan is known for sensor wahala. Replace all the former changed parts. A scan will point you in the right direction

Doesn't happen in my truck ... faulty ... the key can be pulled out at any time. I parked ... but put mistakenly put the truck in Reverse and switched off the engine ... jumped outside to make a quick delivery but on turning around In saw the truck reversing very slowly down the street and closing in on a BMW. Oga, the D light has nothing to do with the engine o. It is not 'check engine' light. Stop confusing people. The D light strictly is for your transmission. When it is blinking, it means there's something seriously wrong with the transmission. Please do a little research if you are not sure of something.

Yes I substituted D-light for the check engine light a mistake from me.

As for the strainer it is a replaceable part in transmission not sure for the Honda Accord

1. If the city nah CVT the owner could have abused the transmission
2. If the city is the idsi engine with 8plugs, the mechanics may mess it up and when it's time to change plugs, life go Taya you original plugs nah like 30 to 50k multiply by 8
