There was drama and pandemonium at Katikaara Church of Uganda in Katikaara Sub-county, in the mid-western Kakumiro District, when a female worshipper was intercepted at the altar with a stolen hen presented as offertory.
The service led by visiting Rev David Mugenyi started on schedule before the irony of Satan’s temptation began playing out to the shock and horror of Christians, according to church warden Jane Muhairwe.

It was at around 12pm and offertory time. Christians filed to the pulpit. And Rev Mugenyi, assisted by church wardens, was at hand to receive the offerings, which by church tradition, is a Christian’s gift to appreciate God’s blessings.

In the Sunday incident, however, a resident of Kyakabinjekere village in Katikaara Sub-county, sprang to his feet and, while shouting, raced toward the Altar to block a neighbour from surrendering his hen to church.

‘‘This is my hen; I know you are my neighbour [but] why did you steal my hen and bring it here in church?’’ said Mr Joseph Lutaalo as he held the suspect by the neck as if to strangle her.

The squabble mortified other worshippers; some craned their necks to catch a glimpse of the parties, while others simply turned away in disgust.

I remember the entire incident so clearly. Yeah, I sadly remember when my dad confidently told me that all men cheat. He included himself in that list, but this I had already known as I had actually attended a couple of his trysts while he slept around on his wife and once upon a time … my mother, too.

Although it seems his older, wiser self would never dare say that to my younger sister, not only did he say to me, but the consequent actions of every man in my life have proven him right.

That made it that much easier for me to adopt this logic, even as a young girl: All men cheat.

While this belief is not something that I make known to the men that I date (no need to give them an excuse for cheating), it still greatly impacts me! Stephen Jones has been hailed as a homeless hero after he came to the aid of people during the Manchester bombing on Monday – and now he is being rewarded for his kindness.

Stephen and his friend Chris Parker – who is also homeless – were sleeping on the streets in northwest Manchester near the local arena during an Ariana Grande concert when they heard an explosion. They rushed towards the sound of the chaos and found dozens of parents and children running out of the building, many of which were injured. As they went further into the chaos, they saw the full extent of the blast.

Stephen and Chris got to work, helping the injured away from the building and pulling bits of debris from people’s wounds. They kept a woman’s legs elevated so she wouldn’t bleed out, and comforted some of the children as they recovered from the blast or looked for their parents.

After they were interviewed over the events of the evening, viewers were touched by the compassion showed by the two friends. One Manchester local, Diane Moore, set up a Just Giving crowdfunding page that has already raised $30,000 to buy permanent housing for the homeless men.

“It’s over!” Those are two words nobody wants to hear (especially when they come from someone who you love with all of your heart.)

How do you respond when a relationship ends? If you’re like most people, your gut instinct might be to blame the other person. I can hear it now … “That ungrateful bitch! She didn’t appreciate what she had.”

This isn’t a productive reaction because breakups happen for a reason. If you attack your former lover without performing any critical introspection, you’ll cheat yourself out of personal growth. Your ego doesn’t like to contemplate character flaws; but if you don’t confront them, you’ll never overcome them.

Understand: I’m not suggesting you are 100% at fault. Any romantic relationship is a two-way street. That said, you cannot control the actions or behaviors of another person. Don’t even bother trying, because you’ll just set yourself up for frustration. You’re only responsible for your own development. Let your ex deal with their own junk (or not – either way, it’s their decision – not yours!).

In 2014, I was a very happy person. Out of university, high performer, my research efforts led to the set up several industry standards for huge corporations, during my education. I was in my thirties. obviously pretty late for Indian wedding scenario. I had to relocate to India for my “so-called” high profile job.

My parents and I had made it clear to her and her mother that I would be moving to another country in a couple of months after the wedding. She had agreed to it, but after honeymoon it became a bone of contention. She would repent for hours, how big a deal it was for her to move with me to another country. I would spend a lot of time trying to explain to her that it means a lot of good things for her career and mine as well. I explained her, how she could support her mother. I explained her how she could save money to provide for her mother in the times of need, from the job at a foreign country. I told her, we need to start working towards common goals, which boils down to financial stability of our respective families.

In the following two months from that explanation, she started playing victim game. Would blame me for everything; She would complain to her mother and in turn, her mother would call me and try to counsel me. I explained her my predicament and asked my MIL to help me out in whatever way possible. My MIL called me my parents and complained about the situation and expressed her dissatisfaction. As a result I get reverse accused by my wife for involving parents into “our” affairs. Funnily, this feeling of “we” didnt make sense to her earlier.

Soon, my wife started accusing me of having an affair over social media with a bunch of women. As a result I started losing feelings for her, I felt extremely ashamed of myself. I was in a strange state of mind, to this day I donot know to whom to speak about this to.

When I graduated from college, I moved to New York City.
This was not the brave If I Can Make it There, I’ll Make it Anywhere stance you might be imagining. I was living in a lovely two bedroom apartment out in posh Forest Hills with a friend and the City was literally crawling with other friends and acquaintances; my parents were a short train ride up to western Connecticut.

A 37-year-old Ugandan woman, living in Kabimbiri village, Mukono District, outside of Kampala, has made world record for having 38 children.

According to the Daily Monitor of Uganda, the woman identified as Mariam Nabatanzi Babirye had her last baby via Caesarian section in December 2016, after which doctors cut her uterus from inside.

She has had six sets of twins, four sets of triplets, three sets of quadruplets and single births. Ten of these are girls and the rest are boys. The oldest is 23 years old while the youngest is four months.

The Monitor said she was married at the age of 12 in 1993, to a man who was 40 years old.

“I did not know I was being married off. People came home and brought things for my father. When time came for them to leave, I thought I was escorting my aunt but when I got there, she gave me away to the man.”

In 1994, when she was 13, Nabatanzi gave birth to twins. Two years later, she gave birth to triplets and a year and seven months after that added a set of quadruplets. This, she says was nothing strange to her because she had seen it before in her lineage.

I’ve never seen what the fuss was all about.

I just finished reading a blog post discussing the issue as to whether or not the other woman should apologize when an affair or cheater is exposed. The argument was that the “other woman” should apologize for everything that she did, and several of the comments conveyed that opinion.

However, I have an entirely different attitude and opinion on the subject matter.
Why should the other woman apologize? She isn’t sorry for anything. You only apologize when you’re truly sorry for your actions, and in these situations, the “other woman” is never sorry for what she did. Only on rare occasions does the other woman not know that the man is married, and in that case, I suppose that an apology would be in the works.

However, when the other woman knows that the man is married, she knows what she’s getting into. It’s no secret, therefore, there is no sense in apologizing for something that you do not regret.

I’ve been down this road before, I have traveled this road many times, I have lived on this road, and quite frankly I know what’s at the end of this road.

In my opinion, there are only two
types of people who do not cheat.

1. The person who is afraid to lose what he or she has

2. The person who has not found someone that he or she wants bad enough.

Everyone cheats. If you’re not a cheater, then I would be willing to bet that you fall into one of the two categories I listed above. I’m a cheater. I am a proud cheater. I’ve cheated on men that I’ve dated and I’ve been the other woman. I’ve never been married, but I’ve had a lot of husbands to hold me. I’ve also been cheated on.

A Thai man upset with his wife has hanged their 11-month-old daughter on Facebook Live before killing himself.

Officers found the bodies of 20-year-old Wuttisan Wongtalay and the baby in an abandoned hotel in Phuket province after receiving reports of the video.

Police Col Jirasak Siemsak said Wuttisan and his wife had been arguing.

The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, who is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony.

Trial Justice Binta Nyako said her decision to release Kanu on bail was based on health grounds.

The court held that Kanu must produce three sureties, including a “highly respected and recognised jewish leader”.

According to the court, aside a jewish leader, Kanu must also produce a “highly placed person of Igbo extraction such as a Senator”, as well as “a highly respected person who is resident and owns landed property in Abuja”.

Each of the sureties are to deposit N100million each.

As part of his conditions for bail, Kanu, was expressly barred from attending any rally or granting any form of interview.

“I must stress it here that the defendant must not attend any rally. He must not be in a crowd exceeding 10 persons”, the Judge warned.

Justice Nyako equally held that Kanu who has been in detention since October 14, 2015, when he was arrested by security operatives upon his arrival to Nigeria from the United Kingdom, must sign an undertaken to make himself available for trial at all times.
