Lekan2348:Seems the I94 is only valid for 30 days now. Checked their website and "admitted until date" shows 30 days after entry. |
mamawa123:I believe there is a daily minimum fund requirement when you are applying for a visa. That's pretty much what your statement of account is for..to prove that you have sufficient funds to cover your feeding and accommodation during the period of your proposed visit. The amount varies depending on whether you have pre-booked accommodation or not. See below What amount of resources must you justify? You must have an insurance certificate covering all medical and hospital expenses for which you may be liable for the duration of your stay in France, as well as medical repatriation costs and expenses in the event of death. If you are staying in a hotel, you will need to provide a hotel booking as well as a minimum amount per day of stay that differs depending on the Schengen country visited. For France, this amount is: 65 euros per day of stay in the case of presentation of a hotel booking; 120 euros per day in the case of non-presentation of a hotel booking; In the case of a partial hotel booking: 65 euros per day for the period covered by the booking and 120 euros per day for the remainder of the stay. If you are hosted by an individual, you must provide a certificate of staying with a relative validated in the town hall at the request of the person who invited you (note: at the border crossing you must also prove that you have, in addition to this certificate, a minimum amount per day of stay - this minimum amount is €32.50 per day). |
I don't even know why you guys are entertaining this person. Someone came to a foreign forum, decided to be a parasite and is talking about people going to foreign countries and being parasites....The irony. Stop engaging and hopefully they will go back to being a silent observer. KLEINBASS: |
sanyalai:Try reach out to them and see if they can update it for you. But, from personal experience, this shouldn't be a problem. I got my new passport 3 days before my interview that year (received passport on Friday and interview was on Monday). Presented both during the interview. Take both passports with you for your interview. NB, the old passport number is also on the data page of your new passport. |
Not sure I still remember the number. It's been over a year since this happened. Quick search on google gave the details below. You can try though. Email: support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com Telephone: +234-0201-227-8955 Bbibbi: |
I don't think this is much of an issue. If you received a mail from them stating that your appointment has been rescheduled, just show up for the appointment on the new date with the original MRV payment receipt. You can try calling the customer care office to confirm your new appointment date Bbibbi: |
I didn't need to. I had resigned myself to my fate and was going to wait and go for the appointment ( I was trying to reschedule to an earlier date). Fortunately for me, the embassy was randomly rescheduling peoples' appointments and mine was rescheduled to an earlier date. An email was sent to that effect. I remember several people commented on here about the same being done to their appointments. jokepearl: |
I don't think you can cancel. I had the same issue a while back and when I called to try and reschedule or cancel, I was told I can't. They said what I can do is wait for the appointment date, do not show up and once the appointment has elapsed, you should be able to reschedule immediately after (from the next day). I believe the option for rescheduling will come up on your profile. But you should call and confirm this information again. Things could have changed. jokepearl: |
fkj950ax:I agree with the posters on this one. Speaking from experience. 2 years ago, I got a new passport the Friday before the Monday of my interview. Didn't know I could actually update the DS160 ( I'm not sure I even knew how then). Went to the embassy with both the old passport and the new one. Presented the old one (didn't have 3 consecutive blank pages) and during the interview the VO asked if I had a new passport, which I promptly presented. Good thing is the old passport number is annotated on the data page of the new passport. |
Thanks for your response. I appreciate it ShootingStar92: |
Good morning everyone, I'm trying to apply for a visitor visa to the UK. I would like to know what the process of booking an appointment is like with TLS. Any idea what the earliest appointment dates are? |
Timeline for me, Appointment was 2nd of August, 8am 3 e-mails on same day (02.08.2023) acknowledging receipt of application, sending of application to embassy and receipt of application by embassy. 2 e-mails on 11.08.2023 acknowledging receipt of my processed passport by VFS and notification of dispatch of my passport to UPS. I won't know if visa was approved or not until I receive my passport, hopefully within the next couple of days. I'll update with more information when I have my passport in hand puffmama: |
I had my appointment on 2nd (Wednesday last week). I paid a total of N 81875 inclusive of courier fees for delivery within Lagos. puffmama: |
Can someone please confirm that payment for the schenghen visa is made at VFS on the appointment date and not prior...? |
Maybe you should read the post again..not sure where you got 5 years from... As pointed out by others, your criticism can be better constructed MatrixReloaded: |
Hello house, I'm trying to apply for a visa to France through VFS but can't a date for appointment. I've been looking for days now and it seems slots are not available. Any help with this would be highly appreciated. I would rather not deal with agents. |
Hello, Mine was rescheduled by the embassy. No reason was given. They just sent an email to notify me of this. Initial appointment date was April 18, rescheduled date was March 15 Popdes: |
IW application timeline Initial interview was rescheduled and brought forward by the embassy. Dropped off passport at Isolo on 15th March. Approved exactly 3 weeks later, issued the day after that (Thursday last week). Friday and Monday were public holidays. Got mail to pick up passport yesterday and picked it up today, 4 weeks after. |
I guess so. I'm able to track the visa process on the "caec" site. Can't access the "cgi" one which talks about whereabouts of the passport etc Femaleoutfit: |
Hello, How were you able to check the status. I've been trying to log in since yesterday but I keep getting the message that their servers are down. I dropped my application about 21 days ago too and it's still saying "Application Received". quote author=Flo123 post=122311816] Mine changed to "No status but on document delivery information. I would wait for their final decision probably for scheduled interview or maybe not[/quote] |
@NothingDoMe, which was your date of submission? Trying to guesstimate when I could expect an update on their site,=. Thanks NothingDoMe: |
I don't think you can change IW appointment date. That was what I was told by the customer service agents, when I called to try and change my date. I was told all I can do is wait for the appointment date, not show up/drop off my documents and then about 48 hours after the date I would be able to use the same receipt to book another appointment date. Although, I got the same mail that a few people said they received today, informing me that my appointment date has been rescheduled to next week, approximately 1 month earlier than the date I initially chose. hello house. anyone have any idea the earliest date for interviews at the Lagos embassy? |
Hello house, Please I need help/advice. I qualify for IW and I have an appointment booked for 18th April. But a training has come up from work (very necessary for me to be able to continue doing my work), scheduled for first week in march. Unfortunately IW appointments can't be rescheduled or canceled. I called the embassy (the number on their website) and they confirmed this to me. I asked about booking for expedited appointment but I was told that only applies to regular visa interview appointments and not IW appointment. Now I don't know which step to take. I am stuck with the IW appointment and can't book a regular appointment. Anyone know if there's a solution to this? Any advice would be very much appreciated. |
