Sonnobax15:So you actually think because Ebere is being paid “peanuts” by his club that’s why he is dining with Mr Branson? Why does everything has to be about money for some of us here in Nigeria? Na waoh.. |
Helinuse:😂 😂 😂 And some of these guys have never done business in their lives before o. And for some who have done, nothing came out of it. But they are here telling someone who raised 20m in this environment how to start a business. If you ask them which business now, they will tell you pig farming.😄 They feel you can only do business when you are given 1 billion naira at a once. |
uniquetechng:Please pay no attention to anyone trying to rewrite your direct experience. China is one of the most peaceful countries I’ve been to. More peaceful than some European countries. If you mess up, you go collect instantly. And humans fear equal and quick justice like mad. |
chidi2003:They forget that China has the largest population in the world yet could be rated as one of the most peaceful countries in the world. In a country where there’s no punishment and reward structure… forget it; that country is marked for chaos and failure. No way around it. |

tommylee:She won the medal for the country. Not for the state governor. Truth is that the FG no try at all for the reward especially when compared to that of Dtigeress and Falcons. It’s embarrassing and insensitive. |
United Arab Emirates with a population Of 9.6 million people generates 10,200 megawatts of electricity, which is more than than the 5420 megawatts peak Nigeria recently hit.Wrong information. UAE megawatts as at 2012 was 27,000mw How could only 10,000mw power all their service industries? |
Therock5555:You and a lot of posters here have a very valid point. True, running a music business is far more than just singing and rapping. The managerial side is even more important. But.. 1. How do you even grow and become a man of yourself by continually being under someone? 2. Don jazzy and Olamide were not bigger than Asake and even Rekado when they started their own labels. So why would I advise people to be restricted to their old labels so they can survive? Now let me tell you why most of these guys don’t survive on their own…. 1. Some do not have that real talent and stage aura. They only survive among crowds in the label company. 2. Managing music business is a big deal but doesn’t require extra ordinary talent. It mainly requires discipline and the ability to delegate duties to professionals. But most of these guys are not disciplined. They Bleep women and do drugs all day. Even pass appointments and studio sessions. They bypass professionals and give jobs and contracts to their family members and friends who can’t caution them or say no to some off point decisions. They want to have the 100% profit to themselves alone. No business survives that way. One of the major reasons why multinationals like shell are doing very well is because they subcontract almost all their job to professionals with strict supervision and follow up. |
JAWBONE:Many do. They just tell you the man slept but didn’t wake up in the morning. Or simply put, “he died in his sleep”. |
Sixty5:It’s good to have all these you mentioned. They make life easier. However, the only paradise to enjoy here is the capacity to buy whatever they need and most importantly being beside who you love and they seem to love you back. Other things like fame, paparazzi and even power can become depressing after some time. |
Not true. Matter of fact, the reverse is the case. Problem is that most Nigerian men travel with that mentality that money can get them any girl. But what of when the girls are most time richer and more comfortable than you? |
annyplenty:Even the most arrogant man on earth who found himself in such mess and pressure would apologize. Heck Tinubu would have even instructed him to apologize. That being said, he only apologized to the president, minister, pilot, passengers and to his fans. He never apologized to Nigerians. I don’t have a problem with that but just to set the record straight. |
AfroKnight:I don’t like to make excuses for leaders who have well paid and well read assistants. The slightest “mistake” or lie should warrant a sack to keep others on their toes. And as for otedolas ordeal then, he partly contributed to it. Just like most Nigerian companies and even government agencies, basic information that should be on their websites is shrouded in secrecy. And when all you do is secrecy, any lie against you or your company can fly. |
jamafa:I don’t think he’s supporting any thief. He’s just saying that poor remuneration of civil servants including the police is the foundation for corruption in civil service. Even death penalty can’t stop corruption in civil service so far the pay and retirement benefits cannot take you home. Nigeria must prosecute these thieves but we should be aware that until workers benefits is looked into, more empty estates from civil servants will keep springing up. |
Superpack589:I hope so. But lake Chad is getting drier. And that’s the major cause of low food production and Fulani herder’s invasion of other lands in recent time. |
[/b] oluseyiforjesus:In Nigeria, some poor people already have 4 wives with 4 children each from the wives. That’s 16 kids. |
I think people here are mistaking the hardest position to the most important position. The most important position is the midfield. The hardest position is the wingers. |
Azmanaty:As much as I detest the practice of Xenophobia, I can never think it’s worse than tribalism or ethnic bigotry. In xenophobia, citizens don’t want foreigners in their country. In tribalism, citizens don’t want their fellow citizens in their collective country. Tribalism is worse and has spilled far more blood in Nigeria than xenophobia has in South Africa. I don’t think Nigerians have the moral ground to condemn xenophobia and racism. |
Most people here seem to be off point. Seun Kuti is simply saying that celebrating natural death of an alleged careless leader or corrupt man is nothing but stupidity and won’t solve the issue of corruption. He’s saying that the best celebration should have been for him to answer to his sins against the country while he was alive. He’s not talking about karma of people mocking a dead person here. |
NotOfThisWorld:Person call himself and trademarked his company “bad boys” and you are here worrying about his bad reputation? |
ruggedtimi:It’s just a fight for supremacy between Sunni and Shiite. |
inoki247:No be noise, Mayweather cashed out big time. This is a list of the highest earners in the past 1 year. Not their entire life earnings. However, some have and others will surpass MoneyMay in total life earnings in a few years. |
Mcdubai: Mcdubai:Abu Dhabi is the capital. |
Kushites:Bodyguard for western media? Unto Wetin? I’m just saying that you may have to wait a 100 more years for western media to report anything good about you and black Africa. And if we want to be honest with ourselves; they don’t owe us that. We barely report any good thing about ourselves here but want western media to do it for you. I ask again, is this particular news a headliner on NTA? Definitely not! So why do you feel it’s an obligation for CNN to do it for you? Haa! Even the presidency has not made any statement on this but are quick to make statements on irrelevant issues. And you still expect outsiders to carry your matter for head? Somewhere in Burkina Faso Africa, Traore seem to be changing situation there and using the media to show the world. But same black Africans are the one running malicious campaigns against him. Again, medical research and findings is not beer parlor deliberations. They work with facts, trials and results. Not some vague pronouncements. As for how the west portray us as people who live in slums, mud huts and shanties.. I wish they are lying. But they are not. Over 60% of black Africans live in slums, mud huts and shanties. Them no lie sir. Just strive to change your situation if you don’t like it. |
Kushites:I wish we can always keep emotions aside in certain issues. Western media doesn’t owe any African any obligation to report our good news. We owe ourselves that. Now, how many of our local media has reported this development? Even NTA; our state owned tv station has not even made a headline of it. Why then should CNN do it for you? Why should anyone even report it when the treatment or findings is vague? You think medicine is social studies where you do guess work? In medicine, your license is the easiest to revoke if you do any how. A lot of work has to be put in research and development of this project. Then get it standardized before wishing CNN to broadcast it for you. |
Chucks13:He hit an iron pole and with speed sir. Even cars get wrecked beyond recognition with such speed. |
We wish a quick recovery mate. |
Exceed15:It’s way easier to kill and dismember a living being than to dig up 6 foot grave. He’s a liar! |
TechBaron:This is not true sir. This guy go pull small crowd for Wuse market or any part of Nigeria today. But being popular doesn’t mean you are revered, loved or respected. The only lesson learnt here is that if you don’t want to be disgraced, best you use your influence to secure a space or entry before visiting. Or avoid the place kpata kpata. Having in mind that you are a target for such disgrace. |
Mear23:It’s always sad when people are swindled of their hard earned money. But it’s not just about the loss of money but about being played. Some people will rather have you rob them than swindle them. |
Mear23:Honestly, I only heard of this CBEX the day Nairaland flooded the front page with news of her crash. And lately, I’m just getting to know that most people I know invested in the scheme. This is the first time I’m not hearing about something that’s popular or notorious. Oh sorry, I got to know about MMM late too. I guess people know there are things you don’t need to tell me. |
