Iolo:Keep quiet there! Na oyibo be your problem for everything wrong with you. Can you as an average Nigerian comfortably travel to the states Australia mentioned for tourism or business? Worst still as an expatriate who has high ransom value? Didn’t the Nigerian government also retaliate with a travel warning against Australia? Why won’t it have any effect since that’s all it takes to underdevelop a country? Your major concern should be how to tackle the insecurity in the states mentioned so people can freely travel there for business and tourism. But you are here looking for who to blame for our shortcomings. Black man must wake up. It’s getting late. |
helinues:As much as saboteurs are abound in our military, I don’t want to believe this is the case here. I think it’s simply a case of ignorance, inexperience and unskilled pilots. But be it sabotage or mistake, it calls for a state of emergency. 7 strikes on civilians in 5 years is not acceptable from NAF. |
malali:The roaming feature is there for Nigerian users. It cost 717k. |
kedeojo:Very typical. Wetin concern Igbo with this? Are Deji and VDM Igbo? How many Igbos supported that fool? Or do you mistaken using his voice for content as support? What people were saying is charge him straight to court and let the judge lock him up for life if that is the required punishment instead of locking him up in the police cell. You lock someone up for defamation for days, weeks , months and even years in police cell yet kidnappers, ritualists and heavy drug dealers are usually bailed in one or two days. You black men should learn to tackle issues head on. |
BuharisBoy:That’s a very foolish prayer considering that most of our assets are tied to the dollar for now. Your prayer is how naira should be the world currency. Una no dey learn at all. |
Floky215:From day one, I’ve never thought tithing makes anyone rich. But some of you guys are now using this tithe of a thing to avoid supporting the work of God (assuming you are a Christian). Info has it that he’s the sole sponsor of pastor Christ’s rhapsody of realities for years. |
Afonjeezy:Whoever is behind the regime change is a bit irrelevant to some countries like Israel, Jordan, Saudi etc. It’s easier for Israel to engage Hezbollah and other terrorist in chaotic Syria than to do so with a sovereign president like Assad. |
Tradepunter2:China can never take on Taiwan in our lifetime. Except they want to reduce it to dust. Because every citizen of Taiwan is ready to fight till the end. So, of what use is firing at Taiwan? Who do they want to liberate there? Taiwan is not same as Hong Kong that has a bit of opposition within. Least the Chinese can do is to keep making threats to keep Taiwan in check. |
Softmirror:Continuity is one major factor for development. However, you must show working the few years you are tested before people can allow you continue. Lee Kuan Yew showed workings from day one. Research more about him, you will find out he did far more for Singapore in 3 years than some Nigerian leaders who stayed close to 10 years. Matter of fact, the development in Singapore took place in less than 2 decades. Other years were just consolidation. But then again, we’ve had cases of short lived or tenured leaders who set their country up in less than 15 years. Deng Xiaoping was less than 10 years in office. China never remained the same. Park of South Korea etc. Talk about 3 years Nigeria/Biafra war? It was a big blow but people came out stronger even with 20pounds startup for easterners. How come with this tachiri money, some of them grew to become millionaires in less than 2 years yet the Nigerian structure hasn’t had any significant improvement? What about South Korea that Japan destroyed for decades yet came out stronger in a few years of liberation? Japan did same to China. USA did same to Japan and some Asian countries. The world did same to Germany. Or do we talk about our backyard here Rwanda who fought very heinous wars? Is the biafran war the reason we are yet to develop? Baba, I tell you the truth. We are not yet ready. The reason for that, I don’t know. |
OneCandleAway:Clearly, Neo Confucianism, Magna Carta, Protestant work ethic, Law of Jante etc are all religious principles. These OECD countries that used these principles were very religious as at the time they were actively using it. Religion has little or nothing to do with our backwardness or crude thought process in Nigeria. The dark minds and manipulation of these religious principles for selfish benefits is the major problem. |
IGBOPROMISE1:There’s nothing relatively good about sub Saharan weather. Same weather that other people found difficult to live in? But let’s assume it’s because of good weather that we became complacent. Should the complacency still apply to this day? We are at the point of death and we are still complacent. This point is where other people like Europe and Asia got to and decided to make something out for themselves. It’s not about weather. There’s something wrong somewhere among us. We have to begin to talk about it and proffer immediate and long lasting solutions. And nobody should talk of self hate when we begin to discuss this inherent issues. |
ayo84:I haven’t said blacks don’t have that. I said Nigerians don’t have such principles for now. It’s not about race or skin color. But if you are trying to say that race plays an important role in holding up to these principles and actions, maybe it’s something we also have to look into in another topic. Nigerian population explosion was never going to be a problem if we have the aforementioned principles backed by effective action and justice. Indonesia is close to 300m. USA is close to 350m. China is 1.5b. How is their population a disadvantage to them? |
No region in Nigeria has the capacity to be Singapore in a million years with our current thought process. There are rules to development and underdevelopment. Singapore and most Asian countries developed with Neo Confucianism. Europe developed with Protestant work ethic. The Scandinavians or the nordic developed with the Law of Jante. The USA developed with Magna Carta. All these principles border on community interest over an individual. Frugality. Hard work. Oneness. Justice. Sincerity. Humility. Etc But the reverse is the case among Nigerians. They practice the Law of Narcissism. You can’t bypass the principles and just be wishful about development. |
Tflex01:Hookup is still rampant but not as you think. Na person wey chop dey carry hookup. Not so much money in circulation for that this period. |
Flame333:I don’t hold brief for ipob but i doubt it was them. The assassination all pointed to the heartless Onitsha fake drugs Merchants who Mrs Akunyili delt mercilessly with. They took their pound of flesh on her husband. How Nigeria is still battling with fake drug market in 2024 is beyond my comprehension. Kill them off!! |
Very stupid thread. Only Seyi or a close family member can tell the president the true situation of things and he will instantly believe without investigating the information. The president doesn’t have the luxury of time to investigate many information that come to his table. It’s suicidal to always listen to paid sycophantic politicians around him. |
NLSOFTDeveloper:Whether Euro, Rumble or Yuan is used for world trade today; it will have little or no effect on Nigerian economy. Our economic policies and corruption is the problem. |
I agree with you. If not for anything, he has spent only 28m in travel expenses in the past one year. But some governors in the same south east spent close to 2B in just 1 year. Traveling to where? |
franvincoop:Wetin be my business with Ukraine? I will be mentally deranged if as an African with no ancestral roots to Ukraine start referring to Ukrainian efforts in the war as “we or our” just like you did for Russia. What a delusional set of people we have these days. |
franvincoop:“We” What do you mean by that? I can forgive a little the foolishness when Nigerians use “we or our club” when referring to clubs like Chelsea, manu, arsenal etc… but not for warring countries they are not citizens of. You have to be a Russian otherwise you may have a mental disorder. |
Great |
Maeve7:Truth! In fact, Trump will like this. It will be used as a bargaining chip in the coming months. |
igbosarejews:You captured the situation on ground. Trump will make an offer that will be difficult for both Russia and Ukraine and they won’t have other option other than to abide by it. Whoever goes against it will have it hot. But thinking Trump will come and withdraw USA support to Ukraine and support Russia outrightly is delusional. |
1. It’s a white elephant project. It may be deserted or converted to a factory in the coming years. Or simply a mega train station connecting to Enugu, PH, Calabar, benue etc. 2. It’s very malicious and wicked to blame the entire Ebonyi people for this project solely initiated and executed by the ex governor. 3. Made some calls and found out some ebonyi people are still in court against the project. 4. The much I know about ebonyi people, they have never been in any competition with their sister states or anyone in Nigeria. So why do other people always use this kind of opportunity to bash them? 5. Dave Umahi, the current minister for works was the ex governor who initiated the project without consultation. Same pattern he is using now as a minister. Why blame Ebonyi people for his actions? How often do we blame Nigerians for buhari or tinubus actions? 6. Ebonyi need to do more in education, health and human empowerment. But always bashing them just to stroke your ego is plain dumb. I can’t imagine a Nigerian bashing another Nigerian. You need to to step out of the country once in a while to really understand that laughing at your fellow Nigerian is stupidity…. Take it or leave it; all Nigerians living in Nigeria with all the noise, insecurity, hunger, hatred, scorching heat, low standard of living etc are very miserable human beings. |
WorkTheTalk:All these are well noted and that’s the reason he opted for an amateur like Jake Paul. Mike won’t be stupid enough to fight a mainstream fighter. It’s an exhibition match. Almost as soft as normal training day. |
Blitzking:Why should Paul fight those people when he can fight exhibition matches like this and make more money that the people you called. Dude is a YouTuber. He is not a mainstream fighter. |
WorkTheTalk:Why should he rest? Is he a cripple? Or is it Jake that fights in exhibition matches that doesn’t need the money? You guys are the ones to rest. |
TJOS:What reputation is that over $20+m and extra popularity? Make una relax abeg. |
Gboss247:Nothing hard to understand there. First, FG had an upper hand as to how the a good part of the shares were to be distributed. They made it clear to dangote on the condition that there were going to assist with Forex. And so, FG went ahead to borrow to finance the 20% stake. This was the point we lost the FG. Everyone believed Nigeria had the 20% stake until recently. That is where all the questions I asked came in. This will enable us have clarity and understand who sabotaged us and the way forward. Why was part paid and the rest restricted? Who was in charge? Who gave the order for the part payment? Where is the BALANCE? Did some government officials sabotage the process so they could buy up the remaining 12.5% stake? These questions are very understandable and valid! |
Gboss247:That money was already borrowed for the sole purpose of 20% stake at the refinery. Why was part paid and the rest restricted? Who was in charge? Who gave the order for the part payment? Where is the BALANCE? |
Nigeria is not asking the important questions. Nigeria borrowed billions of dollars to buy 20% stake in dangote refinery. But ended up having 7% share. What happened to the balance of the money? |
Emma09:Look, this life is half chances sir. Just like Otuma, Flamini just trusted his friend and invested his savings with the biochemical company. Flamini as at then knew little of his chances to succeed in that company but he trusted his friend. It paid off for Flamini. It ripped off Oruma. |
