We should start importing from Russia everything we need and trade in their currency. This will drastically reduce demand for US dollars.

Same issue sir.

1. What are you going to be importing from Russia? Crude oil? Cheap clothes or toothpicks or refined fuel?

2. How do you source for rubles to buy all these from Russia since you don’t have anything to sell to them?

BodyCount:

You're ignorant and illiterate to say this.
Nigeria is 5-6 largest producer or exporter of crude oil. This is enough for a country with good leaders. It's the same crude oil that many Arab nations are living large with. Don't let anyone fool you that Nigeria is not producing anything. All the countries of the world can't be producing gadgets.

1. Most of our current oil exports have been paid for during Buharis tenure. So we are earning little dollars currently from the extras.

2. Exporting unrefined crude is no issue. We are importing refined crude oil and other refined products. The later zaps all the dollars from the initial exports of crude oil.

3. The Arabs for example UAE and Qatar invested heavily and divested with the initial crude oil exports and still doing so till today. We didn’t. We can’t do magic all of a sudden.

4. All the Arabian countries that have crude oil have always had functional crude oil refineries that fully serves their countries from day one. No case of importing refined products.

Look baba, Exporting extractive materials is not same as production. It’s actually a setback or disadvantage.

Nigeria is actually producing nothing.

1x2x3:

You don't know anything about economics. The value of a currency isn't determined by the amount of $$ in the country. How many Pounds and Euro do we have circulating? Is Naira not falling against them? Go to countries whose currency are doing well against the dollar and you'd be surprised you won't see dollar circulating there so hoarding has nothing to do with this.

We must start producing and exporting.

Don’t mind them.

How much dollars can one hoard?
Hoard it where sef? For what?

Where can you even get it for hoarding?

Just like you said, you must export. Not only that; you must produce refined products for the exports. That in turn earns you cheap dollars . This is no magic.

No other way out!

N25m is not the issue here because it has been paid back long ago.

The issue is Psquare trying to stop or retrieve the payment by using the court.

And the court having thoroughly looked at the case felt Psquare wasted their time and that of Patrick and then awarded 1m to Patrick for the time.

The main issue now is the 1m. It’s too small for all the time and money Patrick would have wasted.

For me, Patrick lost heavily in this case and that was what the naughty twins wanted.

yeah it sounds nonsense but it's a fact they do that. Maybe not the way they do it in Africa but they don't like to intermingle. During the Rodney king LA riots in the US 1992, most Asian shops were attacked (although mainly Korean shops) because of their discriminatory attitude. Bruce Lee had to escape China to the US because he exposed Martial arts to the western world and Chinese people weren't happy about it. Hence his mysterious death. Those people are mysterious.

Haba, who thought you all these?

1. Bruce Lee was an American by birth but never lived there. He needed to get back to USA before he turns 18 so the citizenship would not be cancelled. As at that time, American citizenship was a very big deal. Nobody pursued him as he was not even popular in Hong Kong after some failed movie attempts. He simply went to USA to pursue the American dream like most people from Hong Kong.

2. The Chinese find it hard to assimilate into any society as they have that belief that their culture is not necessarily superior but the right culture to inculcate as a society. Confucianism comes into play here.

It’s not about being secretive but about their way and rules guiding their lives.

I lived in Hong Kong and mainland China for years and nobody stopped me from entering into any public space. Matter of fact, the Chinese are usually over exited to invite and give you a tour of their community.

I don’t speak for the Chinese but these are my experience with them. A few Nigerians would have started shouting and constituting nuisance at the supermarket. Same situation taking place in black neighborhoods in USA. And for the fear of being labeled a racist, most of these shops owned by whites and Asians are closing shops.

That being said, I totally condemn the restriction in Abuja Chinese supermarket and urge the necessary authorities to investigate and punish the perpetrators thoroughly.

We mistaken a lot of things in this country.

Just like constituency projects, creating new bills is not the most important thing a representative is supposed to be doing.

The most important function is being actively involved and genuinely deliberating old or new bills brought to the floor.

But if it’s by how many bills one has sponsored, then Dino Malaye should be the best senator Nigeria has ever produced.

Judaism remain indigenous to the Jews up till date. It wasn't sold to other countries like Christianity or Islam. My argument still stands. ATR that is indigenous to African countries was eroded while Judaism remain where it began till date. You said where is the type of Judaism still being practised today and I will also tell you that the ATR I know today has evolved too, but since it's African things, people don't go into it as much. We prefer follow follow. Mind you, most things you watch on TV today as babalawo or dibias are just false version of thr reality. Ritual killings attached to it is just an escape route for Yahoo Plus who sell body parts under the disguise of ritual killings.

So what issue do you have with Judaism if it has evolved to better the lives of the people who practice it?

As for ATR, at least the one I know in my village in south east is crude and dirty in practice. Most of our grandparents and great grandparents abandoned it because it had no middle ground for evolving. Its basic principle is oath taking which doesn’t restrict itself to an individual but an entire clan. I can go on and list 5 other basic principles of our village ATR here that is barbaric. But I won’t for the shame of being mocked later.

I don’t know about ATR in your state or other states of Nigeria and Africa at large. Maybe your people did follow follow even when your type of ATR wasn’t that bad. Ours was.

Ours was bad and we had to choose what works for us. If you call it follow follow, okay.

What’s even this love to embrace everything African even if it’s bad so one won’t be termed a self hater.

Have you not seen the instruction of Judaism god that you should tender your stubborn child to be stoned to death or how their god told Moses to kill a man who worked on Sabbath day? Maybe you didn't see the commandment of their god to kill animals and all babies of other lands. Or you chose to close your eyes to the fact that their god supported the killing of a man who refused to smite a prophet. Maybe you forgot the instruction of their god that people should feed faeces to their children and also smash them against the wall or you forgot that their god accepted the ritual killing of Jephthah's daughter to him.
As for Hinduism and Buddhism, I never said that it is barbaric, rather I view it as being very archaic and irrelevant to this century. You van check back my previous statements to verify.

You keep talking about Judaism as if I care about it.

But if we must talk about it, where is that type of Judaism still being practiced? People evolve and so their doctrines and core values. And what is the percentage of people still practicing Judaism compared to some of the most barbaric religions still practiced today?

Again, We are talking about some religions and barbarism. Buddhism and Hinduism shouldn’t have come up in your argument in the first place.

And why term them archaic? Ever heard of Confucianism and later remodeled into Neo Confucianism? Which religion do you think it is?
*Basic principles of Confucianism, a part of Buddhism are Ren (benevolence, humaneness) Yi (righteousness, justice) Li (propriety, rites) Zhi (智; zhì: wisdom, knowledge).

All OECD in Asia are using Neo Confucianism to get to where they are now.

Why do you think it’s archaic?

ATR is not always barbaric. As i once said, it is not a uniform kind of religion. Some may be making it barbaric while others are making it mild. I know people who still practice ATR today and there is no barbarism or ritual killings involved at all. But do you know that Judaism is as barbaric as ATR and people are still practising it in its place of origin till today. Check the barbarism in Judaism from bible stories and come back to explain why it is still being practised in its place of origin like almost 100% while ATR is already relegated to the background in its own place of origin. As I said earlier, it is the colonisation and the follow follow factor for me.
Buddhism and Hinduism is still in vogue today despite how old and irrelevant to the 21st centuries they are.

I said ATR for the most part is barbaric. And it’s very true.

I don’t care about Judaism but it funny you are emphasizing its barbarity more than other well known barbaric religions we have today.

Mosaic law (Judaism) of an eye for an eye may not be totally seen as barbaric by some people. That law keeps people in check. Matter of fact, every serious country practice it. You kill, you are taken before a judge and sentenced to be killed too. An eye for an eye.

Buddhism and Hinduism are not barbaric and shouldn’t be compared to barbaric ATR. Otherwise, tell me how they are able to disrupt human and community development?

Truth is that most Africans didn’t ditch ATR because we dey do follow follow, they let it go because it was for the most part barbaric and an obstruction for peaceful coexistence, communal and personal growth.

This is because it is hard to change the united religion of a particular place. Traditional Religion in Africa is not a united religion, that is why it is easily changed. We cannot also rule out the colonisation factor though.
See India, China and Saudi Arabia who created their own religion, it is impossible to bring yours and overwhelm theirs. Africans in general love follow follow.

United African religion or not. Follow follow or not, once a certain practice is no longer suitable and progressive to the society, it should be outrightly discarded. African religion for the most part is barbaric and cannot blend in this century.

Very malicious headline.

1. Airpeace is not complaining.
2. Airpeace is sold out towards end year.
3. Airpeace will most likely slash price if other airlines catch up with their current price by the end of the year.

Nothing spoil yet.

The problem is most of you mistake electricity or access to electricity to national grid electricity

You can't power a modern factory without electricity that's a fact... But that electricity doesn't need to come from the national grid that's my point

With this plan it's 50% cheaper to power your factory with CNG than tap power from the national grid

What we need is access to gas supplies not access to national grid for industries

I didn’t mistaken anything when I countered the argument that development does not require electricity.

Now that you have agreed with me, let’s talk about your latest argument that we don’t need national grid to power our industries. Another unrealistic approach.

I said for years, I lived and experienced development in Asia and slightly Europe. For Asia, especially China, Singapore and Hong Kong; they subsidized electricity for any willing investor in heavy industries. I saw it first hand. I visited and transacted businesses with these mega factories. Non generated their own power. Even up till now.

How are start ups and even heavy and high tech industries supposed to be burdened with production and at the same time generating electricity which is a big deal.

CNG is good but not that affordable in terms of massive production.

This is not about politics and alliances. For Nigeria to develop and try to catch up with developed economies, government needs to provide cheap and stable electricity.

Telling people to provide their own power through cng is not realistic.

You absolutely do not need electricity ( constant national grid electricity)for development

Electricity is a symptom of development, not needed for development

Access to electricity is needed for development... In fact some people would say access to gas

Which of the industrail revolution was caused by electricity? Lmaooo check e go shock u.. None

I can’t even believe we are arguing about the importance of electricity as if we are still in medieval times.

The fits achieved during Industrial Revolution is far different from what we have now.

From the 50s, without electricity, you cant compete at all in the Mordern world.

Go and read how the Asian tigers developed including China. Their governments first invested heavily on electricity and made it cheap.

How do you power modern factories and services industries without electricity? How do you manufacture without electricity?

I lived in south east and east Asia for some years. The magic cheap electricity did to their development right before my eyes cannot be understated.

From factories in Wenzhou to high speed trains in Shanghai to skyscrapers in Beijing. Haba!

Well, I think I understand your view. We see electricity as luxury here only meant for use of having a good time with our wives and girlfriends here.

We don't need electricity for development
