Mrexcell:Only you out of all who quoted me seem to understand my point. Others emotionally assumed I supported the his move. What a group of lazy and unrealistic humans we have these days.. But the truth is that he will still choose that move if the situation provides itself again. And as much as I will never agree with him, I understand the dangers they will face by letting Biafra go. |
presido11:Yes. But the point is that it would have been far worse if they didn’t fight for “one Nigeria” then. They would have been wiped out or totally conquered even before 1970. And I tell you again, despite what they are facing now, they would still fight for one Nigeria if 1967 was to happen again. It was and still a safer route for them. |
presido11:You are actually deluded to think I didn’t think through my earlier comment before posting. What i posted was a statement of fact. I mean reality . That doesn’t mean I’m happy or had wanted it that way. And I mentioned Gowon going to war but you guys keep forcing me to make it about plain killing. Well, if it must be about killing, please bear in mind that easterners killed too. The difference was that the people with superior power and external support won. Tone down the emotions please. I can bet you don’t love the easterners more than I do. We are just stating facts. Not necessarily what we wished to have happened. |
goodnessme1:Unfortunately for the easterners, yes. And stop making the Biafra of 1967 issue entirely an Igbo thing. Una no go ever learn. |
ResidentSnitch: goodnessme1: Armaggedon: ogashman:Too much emotions. I understand and actually regret what they did to the easterners during the Biafran war. It shouldn’t have happened. But the truth and reality of that time was that Gowon’s best move to preserve his people was to go to war. This does not mean that an average plateau man prefers some of those northerners over easterners. He just knows that once Biafra secedes, his entire people will ill be conquered the next week. Please let’s set emotions aside. Let me tell you again, if 1967 was to happen again today, Gowon and his people will still fight to maintain one Nigeria for their self preservation. But if they were to vote between an easterner and a northerner in a presidential election, they won’t hesitate to go for an easterner the way they did for Obi. Please guys, set emotions aside for once. |
goodnessme1:You still filled with lots of sentiments sir. In war, you kill other people to protect your own people. It’s a kill or be killed situation. That some of his people are still alive today is because he killed others. If not, 2 weeks after Biafra has seceded…they would have been wiped out. |
Let us always try to work with our brains. No sentiments. Gowon may not have handled situations leading to Biafran/Nigeria war well, but for the most part, he did what may have been the best for his people. If he had allowed Biafrans go, they wouldn’t have been any Christian middle belters by now. His actions may not have been suitable for some people, but it was best for his people. |
Aside from MJ, Maradona is more popular than these other guys naa. |
“It’s easier to wake up a man who is in deep sleep. But you can never wake a man who is PRETENDING to sleep” - Goodluck Jonathan (Indian proverb) Now, this applies to ALL Nigerians, but that of the north is worse. |
SoftSport:I have never been a fan of Natasha but it seems some Nigerians are too sentimental to what’s going on. If you have any allegation against her, speak up or just bring it forth. And please I don’t mean all these stories of having 100 children from 1,000 men. That one no be crime. And when she tries to speak up against what she perceives as not right, please don’t gaggle her voice. |
techaboki:I agree with you! Same thing with black men. |
Solseal007:No need looking for who to lynch. Just start a transport company. Only then will you understand that even those “high” fares doesn’t really take them home. Just like the consumers/users, all Nigerian in all the sectors of production and services are all victims of bad governance. |
Zulu11zulu:Fulani does not fight for Islam. They fight for Fulani. Islam is a tool they use to do that. Fulani are mostly animists. They are hardly Muslims. |
What a hypocrite! Why in the first place are you booking someone who’s demanding huge pay? Don’t you have the music department in your church? A lot of talented but unpopular gospel artists full area and they are willing to sing for free. But you will rather want a “big man” gospel artist to come sing for you in order to draw attention to your church and yet you want him to do it free of charge? Again, I guess it’s only ok if you are the one profiting from the church. Every other person should be a perpetual sower. Be aware, I don’t hold brief for some of those business guys who call themselves gospel artists. |
RealityKings1:Natasha could be a lot of things but saying she’s disconnected with her people is not true. Given her political exploits in the past 10 years, Natasha could be said to be one if not the leading Nigerian politician with the closest reach to her people. |
indoorlove:Are you drunk? |
Igbos hardly care about the opinions of their Politicians, Ķings and even Ohaneze. So, whatever their opinion on the current raid of fake drugs is irrelevant. Akunyili is regarded as one if not the greatest Igbo to have lived because of her intense drive to rid south east of fake drugs. Igbos all over the world 100% support the NAFDAC drive and would be more grateful if their effort is tripled. Just make sure you don’t set honest hardworking up. |
nairalanda1:In this your comment, you captured my PLACE from day one! 1. Is the church or religion the problem of Nigeria? Very big No! 2. Is western countries the problem of Nigeria or Africa? Another big NO! 3. Who is the problem? Nigerians themselves and their thought processes and ways of doing things. Any society that doesn’t reward good behavior and strictly punishes bad behaviors is doomed. With equal and efficient justice system, everyone including the members of the church and the general public will sit up! There’s no way or magic around it. |
Saturnalia:As much as I don’t give a damn about any daddy go anywhere in the world, I still feel the daddy go is not primarily responsible for Madam Remi. That’s assuming she’s the one behind obasa. We must apportion blames appropriately. |
shivisee:See you, see market. What’s my business with all the modafukkers you mentioned there? I’ve never discussed about Tinubu since he became the president. Matter of fact, if I have, it has been in support of a couple of issues concerning him. I have always reserved my opinion on his general leadership so far. But assuming I was among the people who said it was tinubu who was against him. Does that change the fact that he might have been threatened or blackmailed by obasa? Guy, relax. We clearly know what you want to achieve with all these insults and ethnic divisions….. distraction! Enjoy! |
With the way obasa was fuming and causing chaos in Lagos, you will know that powers that be do not like him. However, they do not have any option than to support him because he knows a damming secret that can implicate the high and mighty. If they don’t do his bidding, he will spill the beans. |
oz4real83:Gingles on radio or wherever doesn’t cub crimes. Effective justice system does. People commit all sorts of crimes in Nigeria because there’s little or no punishment for it. If you want to learn morals; we have enough religious houses in every street of Nigeria. |
BondRiv:Some of you are really out of touch. Are you aware China banned almost all American apps including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, twitter, google in China for over a decade till date? Who should be called petty now? |
dust144:Why should they? Things like this persist where there’s no reward and punishment system. In other words; a flawed justice system. People with bad behavior are not punished and those with good behavior are not rewarded. There’s no way you can develop with such system. There’s no way around it. |
So many ignorant and biased thoughts here: If USA gets to ban TikTok…. 1. Its popularity will dwindle in other parts of the world as USA dictates trends. Gradually, it will become undesirable and then fade away in most parts of world. 2. It will automatically not be accessible for download or update in iOS, android and Microsoft. Again, it will fade away. This was confirmed as within the short time of ban, iOS, Android and Microsoft users could not access the TikTok. 3. Some talk about some Chinese apps like rednote taking over if TikTok is banned. It’s still the same pattern, rear your head and you will be cut short. 4. Some talked about how USA is being selfish. Well, it shows how uninformed many people are here. Facebook, google, x, YouTube and almost all American apps are banned in China for over a decade now. How fair is that now? 5. TikTok has been accused of stealing data for China. Every serious country would pay attention to this development. That’s exactly what the USA is doing. Exactly the point of the Chinese for banning American apps. 6. Some argue that after the android ban on Huawei, that Huawei is one of the best selling. Partly, but only in China. It has gradually disappeared from phone shelves all over the world except China. Huawei was 3rd and maybe would’ve been the top selling phone company in the world by now if not for the ban. From 2022 till date, it has been Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi ( Redmi), vivo, oppo etc. Huawei is almost getting out of top ten. Why they are still relevant and making money is because of their other investments in telecommunications aside from phones. 7. When some people mocked some other people that Trump will welcome back TikTok with full arms, I laughed so hard. I’m not holding brief for USA, but these are just the realities. |
CodeTemplarr:It’s ok to be against alcohol. I’m also not a big fan. But this violence has nothing to do with alcohol. It could have been caused by pure water or a cube of Maggi. It was just about ego, pride and anger. “Do you know who I am? Who are you? You no fit do anything!” |
stillmaticOG:Poverty in the north may be higher than the south. But this is not about the value of the money….. It’s always about ego, pride and anger. “Do you know who I am? Who are you? You no fit do anything!” |
Dyke15:What’s your point sir? What makes a farmer heartless in this situation? Or you mean the farmers should be doing charity with their products to get your praise? Most farmers spent over 15k to 20k to raise a single chicken in the past 5 months. Some sell at 25k while some at 30k. Not minding that some even loose over 30% of their chickens during the rearing period. How is making 5k to 10k on a chicken after 5 months of no sleep and dirts and loses wickedness? Please tell us what you do so we can see how loving you are in your business? |
pacino26:Stealing and olosho business didn’t start today. Does that make it acceptable? First, be aware that fighting of any kind is a crime in any society of the world today. Secondly, that was not his wife. Just a girlfriend or fiancé as some people call it. Thirdly, even if she was his wife, she was not forced or coerced to be with the gym instructor. She willingly decided to cheat on her partner. Why fight over a girl or guy who have no respect for you? You only fight for a human being if there was an undue threat to them in the absence of the security officials. |
