Who is this one. You and who automates Rig. Will open mouth and be capping rubbish with ignorance. There are alternatives to get the required crew change and other logistics but may take longer and affect operation. No rig is automated and can run independent of human. Not in Nigeria and nowhere win the world yet. GreyWolf01: |
To restart a plant especially after an unplanned shut down is not an easy thing. It takes meticulous and serious coordination by a lot of people working together to bring it back up. That's the reason many industries i.e Power, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing don't like unplanned shutdown. When you follow normal procedure to shutdown a plant it easier(Though still long) to bring back than an unplanned shutdown. Just like the saying it's harder to build than to destroy. |
Putindbutt:If not for empty noises what is stopping EFCC from visiting those ones who are no longer governors. Just open mouth dey make noise up and down. Abi is Wike and Okezie still Governors. Noisemakers. |
How does a man who is a first class graduate be against the school releasing his stellar record for the world to behold. This just doesn't add up. Someone please make it make sense. |
I stumbled as I was about to enter my sitting room. Guys this is proof that I am just like every other politician i.e Tinubu and Co. Imagine the intellectual delivery of Agbado puppets. Indeed he has very slow people as followers. |
Oluwa which day bullion van go miss road end up for my door. |
LordviccoDaGuru:If this is True I can now see why you don't want Nigeria to work. So that our children won't get jobs on merit instead you will be the one giving them the jobs as you please. I hope those with brains are reading through the lines to see that the cabals and enemies of the country are also online fighting to keep their food. We must dismantle it if God be on the throne. |
Only you woke up and wrote this epistle on a man that cannot win. What reasonable men like me see in this long epistle is that he is the frontrunner. Only a front runner will people write epistle for. Thanks for reinforcing our believe that he will win. babasolution: |
Children are the responsibility of adults and until they achieve the age of 18 most children are under the authority of an adult. It could be parents, custodian, orphanage homes etc. I will appeal to the national assembly and INEC to include in the Electoral law the penalty of arresting the parents or custodian of any underage voter with heavy prison sentence of upto 2 years if they can't produce evidence that the child is upto 18 years. I believe this will go a long way to discourage the issue of underage voters. |
I have no problem with the op opinion. What I have a problem with is that the Admin saw it fit for frontpage. It shows the level of thought the admins here have. It is sacrilegious to defend a presidential hopeful absence in a platform where he can showcase his plan, and even more disappointing is that some people deemed it fit to defend it and publish the defence. |
Mynd44:To think that a moderator wrote this is beyond understanding. Indeed many thing are not right with anything related to Nigeria. |
abuwidad:Would have been difficult over Osibanjo but not Tinubu. The Yoruba tribe is a smart tribe who vote on merit even while considering tribe. Tinubu would have been considered if not for his failing health. They won't intentionally vote a sick person simply because he is from their region. If you doubt this wait for the 2023 election. |
GOATandYAMtheory:Keep your stolen money to yourself. We are riding to Aso Rock. We do not give shishi and we also do not take shishi. |
dplordx:This one pain you reach your heart. Sorry oooo. You guys should dig more propaganda why we should vote one of the 2 thieves. |

Available reporters indicate that all is not well at the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN) and its sister union NUPENG are set for a showdown with Mr. Adewale Ladenegan, the managing director of Warri Refining & Petrochemical Company (WRPC) over the way and manner the refinery is managed. A source who pleaded anonymity stated that “The MD runs WRPC like his home, where ethnicity and religious exclusion is the order of the day” the source further added that “it has gotten so bad that essential office stationaries like copy papers and ink for printing are never available “Managers buy copy paper and other essentials from their private pocket. That’s not all, important safety material such as safety hand gloves, goggles and grinding blades that are necessary for the operation of the refinery are also not available” he further added. It was also discovered that workers are forced to work in the hazardous environment at night with torchlight, and plant operators are expected to buy milk from their pocket. In a communique issued to all members, the union, “warned all members to desist from using their personal funds for the operations of the refinery. The union also questioned the managerial competence of the MD, “stating that he is grossly unfit to continue to function as the MD of such an influential organization.” Insider information indicates that given the tough stance of the managers against the MD, the MD, has vowed to deal with them. A source stated that “the MD has leveled all manners of charges on these managers, and he has set up various panels with his henchmen in charge to indict these managers.” ” only recently all committee of inquiry set up by the MD to charge managers opposed to his terrible leadership style have been unsuccessful, they all came out with a clean bill of health. At some point, a committee chairman threatened to resign if there be any form of interference by management in the handling of the committee’s assignment. This development has generated some bad blood between the WRPC management and the managers with the possibility of bringing the operations of the refinery to a halt. In a related development, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Engr, Maikanti Kacalla Baru has ordered for investigations into the operations of the WRPC based on series of petitions raised by contractors over what could be described as the Managing Directors adverse disregard of due process in contract bid procedures and prejudicial payment of contractors. To this end, the GMD and CEO (Refining) are billed to visit Warri Refinery for what it calls a routine visit. However, observers say there’s more to the routine visit with expectations of a forensic analysis of the stockpile of petitions and impending lawsuits at the GMD’s disposal. http://www.conflictreporters.com.ng/exclusive-fuel-crisis-looms-as-unions-threaten-to-down-tools-at-warri-refinery/ |
Lalasticlala please help change the status quo. CBN and consumer protection needs to read this and act. |
On the 14th of april 2016, I went to GT bank at mothercat Port Harcourt to do a transfer to another account. After my transation I decided to withdraw money from my FCMB account via GTB atm machine. After initiating a withdrawal for 8000 I waited only for the atm machine to return my card without paying me. I immediately narrated my ordeal to the security man at the entrance who informed me the ATM was faulty and blocked other customers from using it. I queried why it was not tagged out of service to prevent such occurrence. Without answering my query he asked that I go and make an official complaint to the bank. I immediately called GT connect and made an official complaint about the faulty ATM which was not tagged out and also my unpaid debit. The lady who answered asked that I give the standard 24hrs for reversal after which I should approach my bank (FCMB) for refund. 24hrs from transaction time was a friday therefore the next working day was on monday 18th of April. I approached my bank and made an official complaint. FCMB did not bother to get back to me on the matter. After about 2 weeks I went back and I was told the request was declined. Another request was sent which also came back declined. I then asked to be shown the film of my transaction which I believe is the next step. This is another 3 weeks after the last request and my bank keeps telling me that they are still investigating. I am pained because my mum lost 20k in the same manner and I have vowed to see this to the end. Our banks can't keep telling us to embrace online banking and be lackadaisical about rectifying issue that will arise thereof. Things like this did not happen back in the days of counter withdrawal and yet nobody thinks this is a drawback for those championing cashless society. As much as 8k is not a big deal for me, it will be wrong for me to treat this with kids glove because it could have happened to a student or even render an adult stranded. CBN has to do something about this to prove they are not just paying lipservice to the advocacy for a cashless society. GT bank and FCMB please kindly return my money. Cc Lalasticlala |
Wow !!!! A Must read!!! As she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children an untruth. Like most teachers, she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same. However, that was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard. Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he did not play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. In addition, Teddy could be unpleasant. It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then putting a big "F" at the top of his papers. At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review each child's past records and she put Teddy's off until last. However, when she reviewed his file, she was in for a surprise. Teddy's first grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners... he is a joy to be around.." His second grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal illness and life at home must be a struggle." His third grade teacher wrote, "His mother's death has been hard on him. He tries to do his best, but his father doesn't show much interest and his home life will soon affect him if some steps aren't taken." Teddy's fourth grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is withdrawn and doesn't show much interest in school. He doesn't have many friends and he sometimes sleeps in class." By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself. She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful ribbons and bright paper, except for Teddy's. His present was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper That he got from a grocery bag Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one-quarter full of perfume.. But she stifled the children's laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was, putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist. Teddy Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, "Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled just like my Mom used to." After the children left, she cried for at least an hour. On that very day, she quit teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. Instead, she began to teach children. Mrs. Thompson paid particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same, Teddy became one of her "teacher's pets.." A year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling* her that she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life. Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in life. Four years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things had been tough at times, he'd stayed in school, had stuck with it, and would soon graduate from college with the highest of honors. He assured Mrs. Thompson that she was still the best and favorite teacher he had ever had in his whole life. Then four more years passed and yet another letter came. This time he explained that after he got his bachelor's degree, he decided to go a little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had. But now his name was a little longer.... The letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, MD. [s]The story does not end there. You see, there was yet another letter that spring. Teddy said he had met this girl and was going to be married. He explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was wondering if Mrs. Thompson might agree to sit at the wedding in the place that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom. Of course, Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet, the one with several rhinestones missing. Moreover, she made sure she was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on their last Christmas together. They hugged each other, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson's ear, "Thank you Mrs. Thompson for* believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make a difference." Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back. She said, "Teddy, you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn't know how to teach until I met you." (For you that don't know, Teddy Stoddard is the Dr. at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines that has the Stoddard Cancer Wing.) Warm someone's heart today. . . pass this along. I love this story so very much, I cry every time I read it. Just try to make a difference in someone's life today? tomorrow? Just "do it". Random acts of kindness, I think they call it? "Believe in Angels, then return the favour." ★ℒℴѵℯ★ℒℴѵℯ★ℒℴѵℯ ℒℴѵℯ★ℒℴѵℯ★ ┊ ┊ ☆ ┊ ★ ☆ [/s] Please visit www.whoehelp.com for intresting write ups. |

1. ASUS Z2 Poseidon 2016 is seeing a lot of 6GB RAM smartphones launched, but ASUS has not released any yet. They were the first to introduce a 4GB RAM handset in the world, so we really look forward to see what they will do with a 6GB RAM one. If it is this ASUS Z2 Poseidon or the ASUS Z1 Titan in the next page, we’ll become crazy. In terms of ASUS Z2 Poseidon specs, its is said to sport a 6.0-inch Quad HD display, a new Intel chip (said to be a 2017 version), a 16MP rear + 5MP front camera set, up to 6GB RAM, and 256GB of internal memory. Besides, Android N OS and a massive 6,000mAh battery are also mentioned as what stay under the hood to run the whole machine. 2. ASUS Z1 Titan The Titan looks strong both inside and outside. The design somehow reminds us of the gaming laptop series ASUS ROG. Pretty cool, rite?! As for ASUS Z1 Titan specs, they will offer 6GB of RAM, 256GB of ROM, a Snapdragon 830 processor, and a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD screen. Additionally, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a 3,500mAh battery, and a package of 16MP main cam with a dual LED flash plus 5MP secondary one also get on board to run the device. 3. The Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, on Tuesday said the Federal Government has paid the N48.2 billion outstanding subsidy arrears owed oil marketers in 2015. This is contained in a statement by the ministry’s Director of Information, Mr Salisu Dambatta, in Abuja on Tuesday. The statement said the payment was made recently to enable the oil marketers to import petroleum products and meet up their other financial needs. “The gross total outstanding subsidy claims accruable to the oil marketers for 2015 stood at N48.2 billion, while deductable tax liabilities payable to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) stood at N5.2 billion only. “ It also said that the minister directed the Debt Management Office (DMO) to pay the claims less tax liability of N5.2 billion, which was computed by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). It said that oil marketers without tax liabilities were paid in full, while oil marketers with net subsidy claims and FIRS liabilities were paid net claim after deduction of tax liabilities. “Oil marketers that were indebted to FIRS and the seven oil marketers that are indebted to the Asset Management Company (AMCON) were not paid until they settled their debts with the two agencies. “ http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2016/05/17/fg-pays-oil-marketers-outstanding-n48-2b-subsidy-arrears/? |

Inflation in Nigeria has risen again to its highest level in six years, the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has confirmed. The consumer price index, which measure rate of inflation in the economy, rose by 0.9 percent in April to hit its highest in 2016, following effects of electricity rates and fuel prices. “The Headline index increased by 13.7% (year-on-year), roughly 0.9% points higher from rates recorded in March (12.8%),” NBS said in its report. [img][/img] “The higher rate of increase relative to March, was reflected in faster increases across all divisions which contribute to the index with the exception of the Restaurants and Hotels division which increased, albeit at a slower pace for the third consecutive month. “Lingering structural constraints continue to manifest spill overs in April as electricity rates, Kerosene prices, the impact of higher PMS prices and Vehicle Spare Parts were the largest contributors to the Core Sub index during the month. “These items as well as other imported items continued to have ripple effects across many divisions that contribute to the Core. The index increased by 13.4% in March, roughly 1.2% points from rates recorded in March.” Following a rise in inflation to 12.8 percent in April, Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), hinted the bank’s plan to raise interest rates to encourage savings. While awaiting the next monetary policy committee (MPC) meeting slated for May 24, inflation has taken another jump, which may mean a further review of the MPC decision. The inflation report was compiled before the hike in the pump price of petrol, showing that it may spike to a new high at the end of May. At 11.38 percent, inflation hit double digit in February, rising to 12.77 in March and 13.72 in April. At this rate, inflation may 20 percent before the end of 2016. http://www.whoehelp.com/politics/inflation-highest-level-since-2010/

The plight of a country. Buhari has better have a reentry strategy. |
Oil prices jumped as Goldman Sachs- an American multinational investment banking firm- said the market has ended almost two years of oversupply and flipped to a deficit following global oil disruptions.Fuel Prices jumped over 2 percent, hitting their highest since November 2015. Brent crude futures were trading at $48.71 per barrel at 0836 GMT, up 88 cents, or 1.8 percent, having risen earlier by as much as 2 percent. U.S. crude futures were up 85 cents, or 1.8 percent, at $47.06 a barrel. Supply disruptions around the world of as much as 3.75 million barrels per day (bpd) have wiped out a glut that pulled down oil prices by as much as 70 percent between 2014 and early 2016. The disruptions triggered a U-turn in the outlook of Goldman Sachs, which had long warned of global storage hitting capacity and of yet another oil price crash to as low as $20 per barrel. “The oil market has gone from nearing storage saturation to being in deficit much earlier than we expected,” Goldman said. “The market likely shifted into deficit in May … driven by both sustained strong demand as well as sharply declining production,” it said. However, Goldman cautioned that the market would flip back into a surplus in the first half of 2017 as it said prices around $50 per barrel in the second half of 2016 would see exploration and production activity picking up. In Nigeria, output has fallen to its lowest in decades at around 1.65 million bpd following several acts of sabotage. In the Americas, U.S. officials warned they were growing increasingly concerned by the possibility of an economic and political meltdown in Venezuela amid low oil prices. Venezuela’s oil production has already fallen by at least 188,000 bpd this year. In the United States, crude production has fallen to 8.8 million bpd, 8.4 percent below 2015 peaks as the sector suffers a wave of bankruptcies. And in China, output fell 5.6 percent to 4.04 million bpd in April, year-on-year. Countering this, supply rose from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) as its producers are engaged in a race for market share. OPEC pumped 32.44 million bpd in April, up 188,000 bpd from March, the highest since at least 2008. Also preventing steeper price jumps was a recovery in output in Canada following closures due to a wildfire, as well as bloated global crude storages. “The inventory buffer may be preventing full price recovery and … the market is rightly nervous about the sustainability of outages,” said Morgan Stanley. Barclays said that “while the supply-side disruptions are supporting oil market balances, refinery margins are starting to weaken, especially in Asia,” adding that weaker demand from those refiners could produce “downside risk to prices in Q3 16.” |
