Just read the screenshots. It started on their way to the house of the God for worship. Most men who abuse their wives are devout Christians. They quote from the bible a lot. The lady was initially reluctant to authorize that i publish the pictures. But she finally authorized that post the picture. Read for yourself'

If the igbos say they want to be on their own, let them be. Friendship is not by force, and separation should not always be through wars, Nigerians can sit on a round table and decide the way forward. If the north is using this tremendous force to keep Nigeria as one then it's very obvious that they are benefiting most from the union
Politics / Re: 2019: 7 PDP ‘heavyweights’ That May Slug It Out With Buhari by nwafeje: 9:43pm On Aug 20, 2017
PassingShot:
Where are the heavyweights?

Makarfi cannot win his state Kaduna against Buhari. El Rufai is there to checkmate him.

Atiku will struggle to win any other state outside Adamawa.

Kwankwaso has a formidable match in Ganduje to share Kano's votes.

Forget Dankwabo. He's too inexperienced to even mount a serious fight against PMB.

Fayose won't even win Ekiti state let alone the entire SW.

Bottom line: If PMB recovers completely and decides to run for a second term, none of these guys can win him in the NE and NW, and he will do very well in NC too. The votes he needs in the SW will easily come from Lagos, Oyo, Osun and Ogun plus Ondo where he worked to install the governor.

Also, the knowledge that a Yoruba man will most likely succeed PMB after 2023 will easily make him win in SW hands down.

SE and SS won't matter much as a handful of states will give more than the required 25% needed there.

Make Una forget online ranting and Nairaland "likes", PMB still holds the trump card.

Politics / Re: Stop Adding To Our Problems, Give Us A Little Respect - Soldier Warns Nigerians by nwafeje: 3:49pm On Aug 09, 2017
PrettyCrystal:
A Nigerian soldier identified as Ojikutu Ridwanullahi - has urged fellow countrymen to have respect for soldiers and stop seeing them as the enemies. The young man who relayed his message via Facebook saying that the risks the gallant men (soldiers) take for country should reciprocated with respect and not condemnation. Read his message below;

Dear civilians of Nigeria this post is meant to change ur thinking towards us. Looking at other countries, people give respect to their soldiers and these soldiers are not working as hard as we. Nigerian Soldiers are not ur enemies, the enemies are Boko Haram and Militant.

We are facing dem for u while u run away from dem. Take for instance, if there is an attack u cannot go there but to run off the place to avoid death but we with just one life like u will run to it and make it stop. We can die as well because we have blood in our veins.

You have never clapped for our struggles but talk bad about us, u have never prayed for us but plan on how to injure us are u our enemy as well. Before i joined Army, i thought Soldiers were bullies but wen i joined i got to know that since u cant stop a moving car but pushing or pulling it den u cant stop soldiers from being rugged and causing because thats the programming. Stop adding to Soldiers problem and give us our little respect as warriors.

In those days, no one dears try a knight or soldiers but nw not the same. Our soldiers die everyday for the country. If you want to know more, come for the training and lets post you @ Maiduguri or Chad or Cameroon then you will know. Gallant Soldiers pls pass this on till all Nigerian will see it. Cos when ever I remember all I and my regulars went through water fell from my eyes. we re rugged, we re not coward "

GOD BLESS NIGERIAN ARMY,I rep 74

mr soldier, it will be very difficult for Nigerian military to earn the respect of nigerians, cos of the many unprofessional conducts some of ur personnels had been accused of. Go and find out from sane societies where professionalism is the order of the day and u will understand why their Armed Forces are highly respected

Marrying for love is great! But love is not always enough for a long lasting marriage.

I'd say marry someone you would have unwavering respect for no matter what.

Thus respect is the main ingredient of a good marriage. Then comes love, commitment. And the rest.

Not forgetting the overall, putting God in the center of your relationship/marriage is the sure route to its success.
You too much, keep it up

Properties / Re: Flood Overwhelms Asaba, Destroys Official Documents, Files, Homes by nwafeje: 9:20am On Jul 23, 2017
love23401:
A heavy three-hour downpour has wreaked havoc on the Delta State capital, Asaba, and surrounding communities. The torrential rain left numerous residents homeless and destroyed homes estimated at several millions of naira. Also destroyed were part of the Government House fence, computers, and vehicles.

The rain started around 5 pm on Saturday and lasted over three hours. Eyewitnesses said the state secretariat, Delta Broadcasting Service, (DBS), State Security Service Road, Okpanam-Ibusa Road, Junior Staff Quarters Road, State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), and former legislative quarters, among others, were submerged by the flood.

At the Delta Broadcasting Service, off Okpanam Road, staff who reported for morning duty were seen roaming about outside the main compound as the station remained off air, while office chairs, tables, computers, cameras, tapes, vital documents, records, writing materials and other personal belongings were seen floating on the water.

At the secretariat housing the offices of Establishment, Post Primary Education Board, (PPEB), Fire Service, part of the Ministry of Information, Delta State Rural Development Agency among others, civil servants were seen crowded at the main gate of the secretariat as vital officials files, documents, official records, books, fridges, shelves, photocopiers, computers were also floating on the deep water.

A civil servant accused Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of paying lip service to the incessant flooding in the state capital. The Okowa administration recently claimed that the state government had released N100 million to the contractor handling a construction of diversion drainages to accommodate the flooding on Okpanam Road and other locations during heavy downpours, but several residents said no work has been done.

Reacting to the flooding and destruction of official properties at the state secretariat, some of the civil servants urged Governor Okowa to stop ignoring the flood issue.

"We have lost our official documents, files, our belongings, to the flood. You can see how everything is floating on the water," said one civil servant. He added, "The situation is irresponsible. Is Okowa saying allocation is not coming to the state.? What stopped the governor from tackling this problem since two years?"

Another irate civil servant said he feared that the flood could have destroyed thousands of workers and pensioners' files at the state secretariat.

"Asaba flood is a man-made disaster, not the natural flooding people talk about," said another civil servant. According to him, "For the next one week, no official work can be done here in the state secretariat and DBS. Some of our colleagues who risked it to their offices for a rescue mission could not do anything because they were almost swallowed up by the water. Instead of addressing the flooding in Asaba, Okowa is busy awarding contracts to himself, his brothers, family members, and cronies."

In another development, the Delta State Council of the Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), has challenged Governor Okowa to give priority to the state-owned media organizations, Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) in Asaba and Warri rather than any other electronic private media in and outside the state.

The union made the demand last Thursday at the end of its executive meeting presided over by the state chairman, Onoriode Mukoro.

The union urged Mr. Okowa to speed up the connection of the 33kva power line for DBS Asaba and Ubulu-uku sub station. They also emphasized the need for interconnectivity between DBS Asaba and Warri in order for the station to bring to Deltans events across the state on a single telecast.

The union also stated it was important that the government provide outside broadcast vans (OB Vans) in order to achieve live broadcasts. They added, "The need for operational vehicles cannot be over emphasized as this will enhance the station's ability to comb the nook and crannies of the state in order to improve content, as well as aesthetics of our television screen, state of the art television cameras, editing facilities and well-designed backdrops for television productions, should be considered."

Culture / Re: Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa And Other Tribes Must Live As One - Emir Of Katsina by nwafeje: 8:00pm On Jul 20, 2017
Godson333:
The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir has adviced those calling for secession shelve the idea.

The Emir stated that Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and other tribes are brothers.

Kabir said this when the Pro-Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Abdullah Oyekan paid him a visit at his palace in Katsina.

This was contained in the institution’s weekly publication released on Wednesday.

The traditional ruler, who is the Chancellor of the institution also harped on the need for Nigeria to remain united, noted that although the situation of the country was serious, break-up wasn’t the solution.

Kabir noted that the renewed agitation was caused by “agents of disunity, especially those who do not want the present administration to succeed.”

“This country must remain one indivisible sovereignty that it has been since time immemorial,” he added.

Speaking further, he said “Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas and other tribes in the country – we are all brothers and sisters and we must be wary of these unscrupulous people.”

Priscy01:
Police have arrested a 50-year-old Italian, Blessing Fernando, for abducting a victim in Delta State. Fernando was arrested at Ogbe-Isoko community when he went to collect an additional ransom of N50,000 from the victim’s relatives, having collected N250,000 initially.

According to NewTelegraph, prior to his arrest, the suspect was residing at Evowe Quarters of Ozoro in Isoko North LGA. The state Commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, who paraded him alongside 22 suspected kidnappers and three armed at the command headquarters in Asaba yesterday, said the kidnapping syndicate had terrorised Ozoro and its environs for years.

“He was arrested at a scene where he came to collect ransom of additional sum of N50,000 from the victim’s relatives having robbed the victim the sum of N250,000. Effort to arrest other fleeing gang members is on course as case will be charged to court soon,” the commissioner said.

On interrogation, the suspect, who confessed to be a member of the kidnapping syndicate, said he was co-opted under duress after he was duped of N600,000.
He said: “They forced me to become their member, if I must get back my money. .

My desperation to recover my money from them has landed me in this mess. They told me to go and wait at the scene where I was arrested for somebody who will bring some money from which they will offset what they had defrauded me."

Fernando said his mother hailed from Isoko ethnic group in Delta State while his father was an Italian.

The bible say wisdom is profitable to direct. It also went further to say that obedience is better than sacrifice. In all of Sabo the boy chose the gutter by command fence to go and excavate sand as if that was not enough, he was asked to stop, instead of him to quietly leave there to another place, he started advancing towards the soldier. That not reasonable at all. The soldier does not have to wait for the unimaginable before opening fire considering the fact that thousands of children were in the school. He had to make a choice and a fast one for that matter.

In a sane society where there is regards for human life, the military knows that there is a big difference between shoot to kill and disarm ,he should have been shot in the leg atmost
