KwoiZabo: The great thing about social media is the it exposes fraud wherever they may exist whether in politics, religion or what have you and this thread is one of them. I've heard that some churches don't announce death but I never knew it's this widespread anyway God is watching.Your analogy is so out of context. If you are struggling with tithe please read the book of malachi chapter 3 and I guess ur also a bible student juxtapose Mal3 with what Jesus said about tithing in the New testament. Back to your Hebrwe text can you look @ d whole context of the text its layout and purpose and see the major analogy was btw the Levitical priesthood and the Priesthood Jesus Christ came to establish. |

seconwaobyno: thanx broda. I have it, I bought mine 5k but it did not help at all. very happy for ur reply. working hard to gather info to avoid repitI feel compelled to add in a few cent on nailing IELTS exam. Just like most exams you are asked a question whether in writting or in speaking apart from the reading section with objectives you are required to provide a written answer. There are a lot of tips to nail this exam most of which can be found online really. Wrote d Exam didn't buy any British council book apparently cos my friend bought n I had a sneak preview of its content n found it to be shallow anyway what do you expect if u repeat the exam after failing the 1st time British council will have more money I guess :-) Ok so back to nailing the IELTS. I wrote general IELTS sometime ago in 2010 I had 6.5 in the writing section with so much grammer n extra confidence I had with me I thought I was personally victimized by that score (well who doesn't especially if u didn't make the score you needed) IELTS markers are not necessarily interested in the details of your write up but 1st they are after ''Structure'' in writing there's a pattern you must follow to nail 7.0 n above look up the pattern from www.ielts-blog.com IELTS speaking section its probably the easiest to fail and the easiest to pass. Now many online blogas have so much to say about nailing your speaking test but let me add something here. Your speaking scoring starts immediately you have 1st contact with your interviewer not when the recording machine is switched on (well thats what I think) 1st impression matters. E.g. Please sir/madam what's your favourite color (most people will go on str8 up with the answer ''blue'' ''red'' ''grey'') let me ask you something do you think He/she does really cares about your favourite color? The answer is 'NO' he wants to test your expression. A somewhat ideal answer should be a detailed sentence on your favourite color n maybe ђƔ the color is your Favouraite color as mosttimes that will be the preceeding ?. Dnt expect the interviewer to be the friendly party diffuse the air with your charm n rather become friendly so as to reduce your exam tension n not His/hers. Others you can look up online. All the best |
UBKtech: @zoe iykemy brother it's nice hearing from you. Thank God for a safetrip. Your iyawo n brother 2geda with you the land will deliver fruitfullness in your favour. Amen |
zoe iyke: Must it b done in lagos? Can I walk in2 any police station to do it here in owerri.my brother it can be done anywhere but eventually your documents will have to be sent to Lagos for approval n documentation. so it will take a little while maybe a week to get it back to your base at owerri |
posdream: Thanks. Can I have the police clearance done in a day? I mean can I have the cert. d same day. What do I need to take along when going,as in things like passport photographs and co. Please advice accordingly.1. photocopy of the data page of your international passport 2. 2 color passport photograph 3. stipulated fee since Lagos is the HQ in less than 48hrs you should've it depending on their workload if you want express service the fee might be hiked |
posdream: How much does it cost to certify a document at d federal high court and anyone with d knowledge about the police certificate how and where to get it in Lagos. And how much is it?Basically 20 to 50 naira per documents to be verified, and the Police clearance should be cheaper in Lagos budget around 5k to 10k go to Force Hq or state CID ask of finger print section. |
UBKtech: Please mates, I am looking for a short-term Roomshare accommodation in Melbourne/Sydney/Perth for males, 2 or 3 people max. I will be landing Saturday 24th of August. My broda all the best I guess your Porting time to Oz is around the corner. Will like you to keep me posted as you land as am going to be coming right behind you. †нªηк's |
mickyarams: So what if he's gay, how is it anyone's business where he sticks his pole as long he's not coming to you. Why are nigerians so obsessed with gay people? Did Jesus ever say anything about them in the Bible? I am neither a gay or a gay advocate, it's just I get angry how we treat this people in our society.I will like you to study Romans chapter 1 to clear your doubt about the biblical stance on the topic |
manmeta: @Nwokenna: Your arrival deadline is usually a year after you submitted your medicals and police clearance.†нªηк's the main reason I asked for the deadline is to guide me on the appropraite time to resign n plan my trip. Since the timeline is fairly long enough, I'll fit in my plan to it. |
@Manmeta from the time you where issued a visa was there a timeline giving to report to Oz |
UBKtech: Please mates, I am looking for a short-term Roomshare accommodation in Melbourne/Sydney/Perth for males, 2 or 3 people max. I will be landing Saturday 24th of August.@UBKtech from the time u where issued ur Visa what was the duration stipulated on ur Visa that you have to report to Aussie. |
ferdimako: Thanks but there's another unrelated gist:Did u all make nothing less than 7.0 in all the bands and still get invited for 189? This 7.0 all bands or better is somehow too rigid. For my skill assessment to be considered my assessing body requested 7.0 in all bands for IELTS Academic I scored 7.5 in 3 bands n 7.0 in Listening. Its possible just relax n get d secret to nailing IELTS 4m d ubiquitoes blogs online. |
ferdimako: Nwokenna and Ubtech...how did u pay for the visa? I know it must be via credit card because everything is done online. Not for me because mine should be paid while am in there but for others who will want to know as they process like you guys.Paid using my GTB mastercard |
everG: abeg make una dey try dey xplicit a bit abeg. wat did u summit and wat did u get? guyz are cnfuse smehw. tro more light abegHad my IELTS academic Dec last year got 7.5 got my skills accessed n had a +ve outcome April. UBKtech: Come and join me sing Alleluia, We got our Skilled Independent (subclass 189) PR today. Me, wifey & dependent relative.Boss that lengthy form 80 character clearance form where you asked to fill it? If yes How did u submit it? Is it via scanning and E-mail or u posted? |
UBKtech: Come and join me sing Alleluia, We got our Skilled Independent (subclass 189) PR today. Me, wifey & dependent relative. Are you Kidding me. Congrats boss am gonna be on ur tail soon. †нªηк's @ Ferdi I saw it. †нªηк's |
@Ferdimako pls I will be needing your zankli contact as I have been directed to do my Med exam. †нªηк's ferdimako: Lagos Clinics must be higher, that was why I opted for Abuja. If anybody needs the coordinator's cell, you're due for medicals and it makes more sense going to do it in Abuja, let me know,I'll inbox you Mr.Philips's Phone number. He works with Zankli Clinic,Abuja. The clinic is efficient and clean.Although I did mine before Embassy call,he said they've shipped it and there won't be a problem but I would like folks not to do without any call (email and Hap ID) from the Embassy to do so. I learnt Medicals is valid for 12months. That is good for me as it could stand firmly for my PR. |
Wow!! Its geting hot in here. I jst feel like adding a lil bit of suggestion here and its quite simple. 1. This thread has a name and also has an objective among many of what i think the objectives of this thread are, one of which is ''clarification when in doubt'' no one is a repository of knowledge especially when it comes to immigration matters but i think in the multitude of counsellors a lot of mistakes can be averted. So pls having said that without taking sides can we pls tone down on our language n focus on the 'medicine' focus on the topic. Advise when u feel u can, direct when u feel you can and have to but dont 'curse' some of us are dummies i mst confess, some of us are high flier 'bad chaps' all in all we are Nigerians and we love to excel, we love to travel, we love to 'make it' and over all mostimes we love to 'pose' as the most successful one. I knw it takes patience to direct a dummy and @ d same time it takes a wink of the eye to communicate with a high flier. Now back to the medicine Pls ![]() |
jennykadry: @manmeta@Jenny ''getting hands dirty'' thats the key word. I dont mind so far the dollars wipes d dirt off my collar the next minute. |

UBKtech: Ok...Am a Medical Laboratory Scientist, did you attend UNN?Pioneer set Namdi Azikiwe University |
UBKtech: It is PR, Skilled Independent 189, am hoping it will be over very soon. Which route are u going & which occupation?Same PR, skilled independent 189. Diagnostic Medical Radiographer |
UBKtech: Thanks everyone @Nwokenna, they do not ask every applicant to fill that form, they asked me because of a dependant has a history of TB. And TB is a major public health concern all over the world, they just want to make sure we follow up when we arrive.Thats a nice update am happy you found a way out. Meanwhile i hope its still the PR route ur on? You have less time to wait i guess since you have wrapped up all d hurdles. |
manmeta: I got this on another thread. TMoni and Nwokenna may be of help:Well @ Manmeta I asked that question initially when i was about to lodge my application. @UBKtech has gotten to that stage am yet to get there. But sorry to say this I think most migrants were not asked this same question so thats why I didnt get a favourable reply maybe its a new development or so. If i rephrase @ UBKtechs question he jst needs a valid address to fill on the form thats all he is nt planning to be a burden to any occupant on the addy he just needs to get moving. I remember giving out my uncles US addy to a rich young lad during one of his visits to the US. He never for once went to Atlanata where my Uncle stays got his visa and finally he is home and dry. I still do not know how I'll circumvent this security clause as it pertains to my application. But i jst hope i'll get same help here. †нªηк's |
manmeta: Owing a property is often the best way to go, as your rents may go into funding the mortgage. However, you can't just buy/own a property as a recently arrived migrant (even with all the money in the world) as you have no credit record/history. You will need to build this over a period of time. Hence, make sure you don't enter contracts/repayment schedules that may soil your credit history.Your Advise is PRICELESS. I'll definitly tow this line of property after 1yr of settling. †нªηк's a lot 'll keep you posted I also dont mind if i could PM when am about to come over incase I'll be needing the surety to rent like you said while coming since i dont have for now a resident fam in OZ. †нªηк's once again |
manmeta: By eventually submitting your application subsequent to their invitation I'd as well say it's a done deal. The hard part is to wait. Use that time to organise your departure. I guess you applied for a 189 (independent). I did mine before SkillSelect came on board. 189 was 175 then. I submitted in February and Case Officer contacted me 3 months later to do medicals and police clearance. Just wait to be prompted to do so. You've scaled through the most rigourous part.Oh †нªηк's that was a fast reply. Yes I applied for 189(Independent) according to the website I'll be contacted within8 weeks of lodgement that should be 2months approx. I dnt have a contact person in Oz so you will be my special adviser now. Am actually looking @ some homes around QLD do u advise renting for like 6mnths b4 opting for a rent/buy option @ d end of d 6mnth stay. Cos i see Real Estate as my retirement route in d next 5yrs. So hows Settling down so far? Any challenge i should be aware of? |
manmeta: I'm sorry I'm just seeing this. What's the status now?Happy you saw it at all well i finally lodged my families Applicationon on the 15th of this month am happy i did because from the 1st of July class 189 PR fee for intending migrants has been reviewed upwards. Am yet to get an E-mail statinmg who my Case officer is but am still keeping my fingers crossed. Sorry forgot to tell you my profession am a Medical Radiographer same as my spouse. Am looking @ QLD as my final destination maybe based on the fact that I'll like to run some courses in QUT which according to them its for strictly PR A̶̲̥̅̊ñ̷̊D̶̲̥̅̊ Citizens hoping to Benefit. I have not yet done Medicals and Police clearance I believe I'll be told when to do that right? Any suggestion or sdvise will be highly appreciated. |
