Being productive and moving forward and evolving has nothing to do with becoming Westernized, let us just set the facts straight. That is what you and many Africans mistake. You believe that just because it is the West, it must be right am I correct? This inferiority complex has got to go.

Africans can still be very traditional and very progressive at the same time, adopting another persons culture does not make that culture automatically more advanced.

Fulaman198: Your own culture? Does it not make you feel like a fool, when you smile with glee at Western culture and frown upon your own culture. Does it not hurt you when you can speak a Western language better than your own mother tongue? Does it not hurt you when you don't know of the tradition(s) that you forefathers had practiced generations before you were born.

To me as a Nigerian, I'm fed up when I type in Nigerian music on youtube, I see a lot of Western-influenced or Bollywood influenced Music. Whenever I type in Senegalese or Malian music, they are playing their own music with pride, wearing their own traditional African clothing that is common amongst us West African folks. With Nigerian music nowadays you see them singing in Pidgin or English with a Westernized of Bollywood influenced beat. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Is not a shame for me to be more proud of Senegalese, Malian, Nigerien, Chadic, Burkinabe music than our own. Where is the pride and creativity?

Dude there is nothing wrong with holding on to our cultures that is applicable to our present evolved times..
Your kind of mentality and ignorance is the reason why most African countries have not developed with the times and stuck in the past is because we have refused to progress and evolved with the times..You either progress or regress. Why follow traditions that are not applicable in these times..

It is imperative to refine our cultures and traditions to work in the times we live in or they become absolete, regress and status quo remains and the west and rest of the world would continue to dominate us. There is no reason to walk to our destinations just cuz our forefathers did it when you could use a vehicle. It would also be absurd and stupid to go to Wars with spears just cuz that was the way of our forefathers.

We are regressing because we have stubbornly refused to evolve our Ways of doing things to match with the times we live in ..

OP you are confusing destiny with Fate. Bad thing and events happening to people has nothing to do with your destiny but fate.
No one gets to choose his destiny but everyone gets to choose his fate. You get to choose whether your ending is good or bad, and whether your experience is good or bad based on the thoughts and choices you make..

I didn't see this earlier but well it depends on the degree of ones spiritual/mind growth. For some of us very easily for others not so easily while others go through life never able to detect " spirits"

Also The simple reason some people can't detect other spiritual beings in other realms is because we operate at a dimension/frequency below the so called " spiritual world". When your third eye is fully functional not only will you be able to sense "spirit" in higher frequencies, you would be able to see and interact with them..

Now even in our three dimensional world sensing other humans/spirit( we are all spirit beings ) beings can be easy if you are in tune with your spirit. For instance hours or even years after people vacate a place you can pick up their presence when you walk in. If evil was commited there your spirit will pick up the lingering horror of the deeds commited there.

We all leave an imprint of ourselves/spirit at the places that we visit or stay and with things we own..That's why when an enemy wants to cast a spell on you, they use stuff associated with you or things you own like a clothing, picture, etc
