Seems it i listed this way Please be informed that you can send your passport through the authorized courier only (DHL, Royal Mail, UPS, etc.).So in essence you are to pay 16.15 GBP per applicant. So if you have 3 passports. I guess that's *3 . We need to confirm this. That's even if any insurance coy would even want to cover you. Lol because you are now a big risk/liability. You lots think things are just rosy and everything just works seemlessly. |
1stGenAmerican:Hahhhahhahahahah. I should laugh. Lol . Ambulance pick you for free. Don't worry when you see your deductible after the accident. You go sabi say no be moimoi and it is not free. Some Americans have resorted to Uber for emergency services because calling an ambulance can cost you as much $750 For a trip. |

Life would be far easy if people wwre very frank and honest no matter whose ox is being gored. Keep putting yourself under pressure just to satisfy "he is a kind man" till you die and is buried under the rubble. |

CAD2019:Hi , Did you get and how were you able to sort it out? And costs please |
aieromon:Or maybe tell your car wash to stop using detergent to wash plates. A water rinse is what a number plate needs not the scrubbing with harsh liquids and brush that lots of Nigerians indulge in. Lots of those plates used acrylic. If you use washing materials with higher pH they definitely would wash out. Cleaning agents used for car soaps aren't acidic or caustic but you see car wash using all manner of soaps to wash. |
Used to want to patronise Nigerian clothing and shoes but never again. 90% of Nigerian tailors who sew clothes for men can't even get the ass crack settings on a trousers or even the armpit right. You either get extremely tight clothes you can't even bend in it. Bought multiple $83 to $100 shoe from local makers and till today they were the worst shoes i ever bought. I had pains in my back leg just for wearing them. They are either too clunky , heavy or they don't understand the concept of shoe confort and just think the pad in between soles are just there for decoration. But they know how to put outrageous prices on such bad shoes. My average Giorgio brutini shoes cost me $60 but i can wear them for 5 years and they perfectly fit and don't cause me sole pains. Why should i waste money on such purchases? And this isn't a me thing alone . Just talk a walk on the street, ask any male wearing locally made clothes to raise up their hands abruptly and see the upper wear tear from the armpit for most. |
Uche1993 and snok58. Please take this offline. You have a responsibility to sit this out with families and decide what to do. Lots of all these online commenters are just here to catch cruise, laugh at you guys and throw words around. Don't aggravate the issue with bad words. Two adults can communicate without cursing using swear words or calling on God to purnish the other for what they did or did not do. Tempers are high and i understand the pain both parties may feel but best bet to sit this out and reason with a clear head. Take this offline and find a way to get elders to settle it. Trust me you would look back at this thread in future and regret everything you said if you don't stop. People would keep goarding you to spill more, talk more and make it nasty. They would pick sides and try to push narratives. To them, you both are like two rams(fools) fighting in a circus and they are the audience shouting "finish him". Would you want to be such? |
Anyone with s21 plus Uk used. Mint atleast 9/10 condition |
ThierryJay:Doubt that . Lokely he had seat belts on and most have suffered a lot injuries to his legs. His front was also damaged from the pictures. Yeah the right passenger side suffered more damage but i guess the deaths from the back was largely caused because the occupants at the back weren't strapped in (i.e wearing seat belts). Likely they were ejected on impact and flunged at crazy speeds against the stationery truck. That's instant death. It would take a miracle to survive such. Even surviving such would lead to almost a life strapped to a bed for decades. Please guys the seat belts at the back isn't for decoration. Always wear them. Also Nigerians should stop running like mad people. Use your cruise Control. Limit speeds to less than 100km and max 120km on straight roads where you can see almost 200m ahead. I cannot wrap my head around why someone would be doing 160km on Nigerian roads. That's suicidal. And lots of cars weave past you at such speeds on a daily basis. |
Lots of families complaining about having it hard in terms of housework. Ask them how much they spent on their wedding? Millions of naira on frivolous wedding and doing eye service. Money that should have gone into setting up your house to remove all stress. You spent it on a rice and chicken for hundreds of people who don't give a damn about you. Ordinary washing machine, you guys don't have. It is always ironic that it is the girls always pushing for such expensive wedding without thinking of setting up the house. When you put him debt and he has to struggle to pay such in the first few years of marriage. Don't complain when you are at the receiving end of things. I have gone ahead to even get an automatic/robotic vacuum cleaner to ease the stress. As for lots of guys in here stating thrash about house work. Pay for a weekly house cleaning service(Labout is fucking cheap in Nigeria. I have someone come clean and mop the house completely weekly for 2500 per week), buy the house tools to remove the stress. Help with the kids when you can. Lots of you have never changed a diaper let alone wash the feaces soiled bum bum of your kids. Do things that makes her understand that you are both in these together. Now see you make requests and see if she would turn you down. The kids are crying and you continue playing games or watching that movie or typing away on your phone while angrily ordering them into their mum's room to stop disturbing you. What signal are you trying to tell the mum? That all the stress belongs to the mum. Men you need to change, especially when it comes child caring. That's one of the biggest house work women face. Lots of you do absolutely nothing in the formative years of your kids. It is not only to provide money for upkeep. Knew someone who throughout the first few months of the birth of his baby , he never woke up while the baby was crying at night to even help. Why won't the woman resent you? |
CountVersailles:You guys just like to heap blames on the average Nigerian. Lots of commuters refuse such hikes in lagos and would rather wait. You definitely don't expect everyone to stick with such refusal. In Lagos for example, the population far outweighs the supply of buses, so you already have an inelastic market and transporters are king. Commuters have little to no leverage because even if 80% decide to trek, the available buses isn't enough to ferry the left over 20%. Heck even such hike in fares happen all over the world especially when there are large events, only challenge is every single day is a large event in Lagos. So you are out of options. Also we should stop making it seem like Nigerians don't fight back. Let those same countries experience half of what Nigerians go through and see how they respond. Only scarcity of fuel happened in UK for few weeks. People were hoarding fuel and even fighting at stations. Some even started looting fuel from cars and others were buying at hiked prices. When the system is rigged against you, you either just flow with it. For example. Who do your report price gouging to? How effective are those agencies ? What processes are in place by gov't to protect consumers against such? |

Nezzjnr:Those agro biz are worse. I don't know how any right thinking person would invest in such. I can invest in plentywaka. I see their buses. Their rates are responsible. There is a massive gap in the transport biz that needs fulfilling with large buses and smart movement in Lagos. But you see those agro? Nah, no sense in it at all. I grew up on a cocoa farm. Takes an average of 6 years to get the crops out and here you are promising to pay me 30% in 6 months. How na? Your own cooca na on top Mars e dey grow? Means you would be using another person money to pay me. Which is a Pyramid scheme. If you have cash flow issues, even a bank loan at 22% per year is far better than sourcing money from the public that you have to pay a compound interest of 60% in year which is impossible to fulfill in any climate except maybe you are doing oil bunkering. That alone is a red flag for anyone who knows basic financing. But we have lots of Nigerian investors who are more moved by the prospects of profits and sweet words than the viability of an investment. |
agohmamuda:Send another email to flutterwave. They refund and do reversal. Also chat them up on Twitter @flutterwave. They respond. |
agohmamuda:What was the method of payment? |
ednut1:Exactly... First red flag. Second they said the company is Registered in the UK. To offer credit to the Public, you need to be registered with the FCA. Not a single FCA number was given. What they did was just a company registration, something that an average Joe can do from the comfort of their houses. People need to carry out more due diligence when investing in Businesses. It's your hard earned money, so a little 50k to a financial adviser to scrutinize things won't be too bad. |
water2wine:The business wasn't solid. A cursory look through their site alone shows that they aren't crunching the data that shows any credibility. They came across as boastful and naive. Any company that is worth its salt would not be boasting of eradicating poverty in Africa, East Europe, south America single handedly by lending to the poor as its mission statement. That's enough bullshit for me to run with my money. Even Lapo and Accion with multiple decades of experience would not even talk about eradicating poverty in Mushin Local government let alone Africa. Also website looks alot shoddy. They were full of boasting. They are in 350 markets across Africa. Listed Lagos, Ibadan , Jumped to Benin Republic a country before jumping back to Akure or something. Yeah the CEO doesn't verify such info but such are basic things any company worth its salt won't be committing errors at. Lastly, most people that carry religion on their forehead most times are just masking it to move forward in life especially when it comes to money. Once you start calling God or stating your Godliness in a business deal, i am already on the edge. I hope and pray investors are able to regain their funds back. |
Amanstailored:I totally disagree with this. I converse a lot with native English speakers in multiple cross functional roles. If i had a dollar for every mistake or typos lots make , i would be a millionaire. It is only in Nigeria we carry English on top of our head like Ijebu garri. They are interns and mostly fresh out of school or someone learning a new skill in a work environment. The threshold of capabilities for such team members is always set extremely low and showing up and showing a will to learn should be more than enough to grant you a sit. They just lost a talent because of their irrational thinking. I am so glad for the young man. The OP should please even send me the details of the guy. I would hook him up to something far better than wherever he is coming from. |
pocohantas:You seem to be in a none structured work environment. If you were, your "boss" wouldn't be reviewing essays of interns. Also your boss must suck a lot to work with. Good for the interns they didn't have to put up with such an insufferable person. They are interns. Not English professors. Also why would his personal irritation overshadow logical thinking? A true test of competency is not graded on just writing essays. Character checks, tenancity, ability to be able to make mistakes and develop are key areas. The weighted average of these with communication skills and appearance is what should form the basis of hiring people. To not consider other skills and see this as a learning opportunity for the interns is like someone who has a huge ego issue and definitely should not be managing people. He should pull up his evaluation file from when he was an officer/Analyst and let's see how good he was and never made a mistake. Mtswwwheeewww |

pocohantas:Ignore the dolt. From the talk of 200k salary in Nigeria is better than $5k you know they have no idea what they are saying already. Definitely some kid in one Ajegunle street with a Tecno phone who has never worked one day in their life chatting shit online. Not surprising 200k that is a ridiculous salary seems like a big deal to her. That her friend is an imaginary YouTube /Online blogger she read about. Ask her to post receipts now and she would disappear. For her so called imaginary friend to have migrated to the US in the last few years would either mean they went on a tourist visa and overstayed or they are currently a student which means limited work hours and limited pay. Can't remember when the US started giving work visas to just anybody. To get an H1B visa would mean you are technically gifted and in a special role and would definitely be earning big bucks. |
