MzJackBaueress: My anger is that there will massive defection from their party to APC. My thought too, this is quite unavoidable going by the openness of the APC to defecting politicians. I will rather advise strict and scrutinising approach cos some may be coming to play the moles! Guess many intending senators too from the north central/south south and east would have their eyes on the Senate President's seat. The progressives should watch their backs |

Gej lacks sanctity and sanity for democracy in all its form for him to have resorted to buying his way through, which was eventually blocked. So that section of the Yorubas only fed fat on his desperation and political blindness |

sinizia: Let's call a spade a spae! You needed to hear the comments coming from most of your kinsmen (that I crossed paths with) on their reasons for supporting Buhari (a particular Yoruba lady said she knows Tinubu is more corrupt than GEJ but since PDP has no Yoruba as a VP, she'll go for APC because of Osibanjo).
Just like saying APC is corrupt but if a Yoruba rep is there, I can overlook it. You are very funny |

As far as am concerned Yorubas remain the most detribalised tribe in Nigeria, as we were torn into two by the two parties. Going by the avalanche of votes that were ceded to Jonathan in the east, I can convincingly assert that igbos are far from being a nationalist! Its so glaring... Let's call a spade a spade! You need to hear the comments coming from most of your kinsmen (that we crossed paths) on their reasons for supporting GEJ(a particular igbo lady lost 600thousand naira due to the fall of the naira yet she sees nothing wrong in GEJ's govt). Just like saying he is ours let him ruin it if he likes

SeverusSnape: As you all know, I'm a staunch supporter of Jonathan, The final result has not been announced, but I see Buhari winning this election; No two ways about that. GEJ has lost the election, It's over, it has been a really tough battle, It was fun while it lasted; the insults, , The teasing and the bashing, I personally enjoyed every bit of it. For those of you saying "SeverusSnape will soon deactivate", No way!.... I ain't deactivating, once a nairalander, always a Nairalander. To all GEJ supporters, I urge you all to support the new government of Buhari and contribute your own quota to the development of this great nation. Jonathan has tried his best, let him just leave the rest.
That's all I have to say for now.
God bless president Jonathan God bless the president elect, Muhammadu Buhari. God bless all Nairalanders. God bless all Nigerians. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thanks
Mods front page, Don't I deserve it?? I'm a prominent member o... Good one man, a better Nigeria that's our collective dream |

trillville: The incoming FG should renew jega's contract, even if it means changing our constitution. Looking at the United States as an example, j Edgar Hoover spent over 30 years as the head of the FBI and made it what it is today. Alan Greenspan spent about 19 as federal reserve chairman ( their Central bank).
Nigeria needs men like jega and if he is willing, we should insist that he continues for fairness and balance. |
