Interesting! Please keep it flowing.

I hope it wont be one of the 'Never unending stories' or one of the abandoned stories.

Well done!

Sagamite: I doubt that will be the only factor contributing to that outcome. I am pretty sure quota system will also play a part.

Secondly, I would be very surprised if their are more Northerners as judges. If that is the case, I would be interested in knowing the judge selection process and criteria. Surely there are tons of sounthern lawyers who would not find space in the lucrative part of the bar and would have to settle for bench as well instead of charge and bail work loitering. Pure Supply and Demand.
Yeah that is true for the current trend of things in Nigeria. But majority of the senior judges we have now are those that were employed in the 60s and 70s. Then there were no cheap charge and bail lawyers as we have them now. So most of those who opted for the bench then were Northerners.

In those days if you are a graduate not even as a Lawyer or Doctor or Engineer you know there are tons of employments with housing and brand new car waiting for you. No longer the same now.

According to the Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation, Dr Bright Okogu, the wage bill of the public sector, quadrupled from N443 billion to N1.659trillion between 2009-2012.
Lord have mercy!

The wage bill has quadrupled yet the people are getting less from the government.

afam4eva: Pls i have a question. Are there more schooled northern judges than there are southerners? How come most of these high profile judges are northerners. Abi dem go school pass?
lemme just post the answer I gave to similar question some days ago

OAM4J: This question has been answered before.

It will always go to the North because many lawyers from the North go for the bench while the ones from the South opt for the bar because there is less money on the bench compare to the bar. Its a case of the South cant eat its cake and have it. The reason you will also find more SANs in the South compare to the North.

Check the list of Nigerian judges, you will find more Northerners on the list.

FYsol: Why is it that seun doesnt verify post before making it a front post. People are beginning to regard nairaland as a rumor forum. Please watch it bro.
If you had paid more attention you would have noticed there is a "?" on the title both on the thread and on home page. That means its not a confirmed story.

Dimples 316: Kai Mukina,

Must all your threads make front page? This is really becoming irritating and annoying, whether its a worthwhile thread or not we are guaranteed to see it on the front page because Mukina authored it.

I agree with the NL member who said its an abuse of office, we know you are a MOD don't flaunt it in our faces by bringing every thread you create to the front page. Is there an award for the MOD with the most threads on front page?

Please spare us madam
Wislet: u may try to sound as rational as you like, we know your type.
So..it is her personal topics that are front page worthy, abi?
Why MUST ALL her topics be pushed to the front page by herself?
Is it because she knows it will create little traffic if she left it?
Smh.
The more u try to sound like u know what u're saying, the more ridiculous u show yourself to be.
And why must we look elsewhere if we 'find topics on the front page that we do not view as interesting?'. When the front page is supposed to be a hot page-so to say- of the frontline topics posted.
I am not against her topics making front page, neither am I against her as a person. I dont even know her. All we are saying is, If her topics are a must read, let her try posting them in their right places and let them generate traffic on their own.

And why should i post links of interesting topics when the complaints and petitions of those that actually bothered to do so fell and continually falls on deaf ears?
I do not have ur time.
Let me answer your question.

Yes almost all if not all her topics will make front page. The reason is because she unlike many of us do not just create thread because the story fancies her interest, she creates thread of trending news and events on the internet that should also be on Nairaland and put it on home page. If a story is trending on the internet, it means many people are discussing it already and Nairaland owes its member to know about it too.

For every story that is trending on the internet, she checks if the story exist on Nairaland; if someone already created a thread for the story, she edits it and puts it on home page, if not she has to create a thread for it and put it on home page. It is her job as a super-moderator to do that.

Also home page tries to cater for all interests. We can not all be interested in the same thing. The ones you think are interesting might be hated by some other people. That some of us dont find a topic interesting on home page does not mean others dont. Like I always tell people, if you dont like a particular topic, ignore it and click on the ones you like.

And finally, if you think a particular story is interesting and many people will like to read/discuss it; just recommend it to her and she will look at it. There are suggestion threads in many sections that she checks regularly for home page suggestions, like this: https://www.nairaland.com/938835/lets-complaints-suggestions-enquiries-here/7 just suggest it and she and other moderators will look at it.

Hope this answers your question.

If he had not resigned, he would have been impeached and that will be bad for his political career.

He had no choice. Same thing happened to Akerele-Bucknor and Femi Pedro who were deputies to Tinubu. They had no choice but to resign when it was obvious they will be impeached by the house.
