Afam Was banned by the admin, for series of insults on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/990374/family-5-arrested-kidnapping-imo/1 afam4eva: I can't belive that a thread that's laced with tribalistic bias made it to the frontpage. Who else can make this possible other than the tribal maggot named Mukina. Enjoy your fame while it lasts. Bastardd. afam4eva: It's unnecesary because it's not your tribe that's been insulted. Tell me the difference between the posts that were hidden and the original post. The OP creeated this thread for the sole purpose of insulting Igbos and not to report a news. afam4eva: Fvck the MODS. What tough job are they doing other than promoting tribal hate and chauvinism? For them it's all about naira and kobo. I'm getting pissed off at what Nairaland has become and the MODS are encouraging it. Even they the mods have joined the fray of shameless characters that defile rationality and make a mess of everything. Once again, fvck the MODS. |
Yes almost all if not all her topics will make front page. The reason is because she unlike many of us do not just create thread because the story fancies her interest, she creates thread of trending news and events on the internet that should also be on Nairaland and put it on home page. If a story is trending on the internet, it means many people are discussing it already and Nairaland owes its member to know about it too. For every story that is trending on the internet, she checks if the story exist on Nairaland; if someone already created a thread for the story, she edits it and puts it on home page, if not she has to create a thread for it and put it on home page. It is her job as a super-moderator to do that. Also home page tries to cater for all interests. We can not all be interested in the same thing. The ones you think are interesting might be hated by some other people. That some of us dont find a topic interesting on home page does not mean others dont. Like I always tell people, if you dont like a particular topic, ignore it and click on the ones you like. And finally, if you think a particular story is interesting and many people will like to read/discuss it; just recommend it to her and she will look at it. There are suggestion threads in many sections that she checks regularly for home page suggestions, like this: https://www.nairaland.com/938835/lets-complaints-suggestions-enquiries-here/7 just suggest it and she and other moderators will look at it. |

If you were banned for only an hour, then it must be the anti spam bot that that mistook your post for a spam. Sorry about that. Our team of programmers will soon perfect the workings of that bot. In the meantime, when next you think you are wrongly banned by the anti spam bot, use the report to the moderator on any of my post on the complaint thread to report it or click on my profile and send me a mail. |
richyrich4life: Welcome development, yes... but were they given enough time to relocate? As far back as Tinubu era as Governor, am aware Lagos state government continuously told them to relocate. bola4dprec: 72hrs noticeStop posting what you are not sure of and misinforming the public. |

My 'plight' nay my situation is unique because i'm battled from every sides.I feel you and your pains/disappointments. But Please don't give up. You will make it. |
@OP I think you should let people know if you have any special skill apart from your degree. Also your personal attributes and virtues. I mean you need to convince people you have something more to offer apart from the degree. |
Very good concept from Ondo State governor, Mimiko. |
Inside ‘the Cotonou’ in Ondo https://tribune.com.ng/sun/images/stories/jan2010/1507ondo%20mart.jpg THE spectacle is breathtaking. On display, a sea of vehicles of different brands. There is virtually no brand of vehicle that you don’t find there. The vehicles range from cars to the sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and trucks. One striking feature of the sight is that there is no haphazard arrangement of vehicles. The environment is sparkling neat and you are tempted to think you are not out of Nigeria. But this is not only Nigeria but also a site along the Ilesha-Owo Road in Akure, Ondo State. Welcome to the Akure International Auto Market. In terms of the volume of vehicles on display for sale, it compares with the Cotonou, Benin Republic, auto market where many Nigerians find convenient to buy vehicles. The only difference is that whereas the Cotonou market is situated in the port, the Akure market is an ultra modern market along a busy highway, and complete with mind-boggling facilities. On one side is the banking section; you also have the police and fire stations. The site is well lit and the taps run. Toilets are everywhere and well kept. There is a spare parts section where you can buy vehicle accessories. There is a mechanics section to get people to fix faults in vehicles. The auto mart did not just come into being. It is only a part of the urban renewal programme of the Dr. Olusegun Mimiko administration of Ondo State. The motive for building the auto market was two fold: removing the car sellers from the streets, in line with government urban renewal policy and making the car selling trade comfortable. The urban renewal programme of the Mimiko government does not end with the removal of the auto sellers from the streets. Traders of all sorts are also being removed from the streets to purpose-built markets across Ondo State. Continue here: http://tribune.com.ng/sun/more-features/7898-inside-the-cotonou-in-ondo |
