I'm getting pissed off at what Nairaland has become and the MODS are encouraging it. Yes almost all if not all her topics will make front page. The reason is because she unlike many of us do not just create thread because the story fancies her interest, she creates thread of trending news and events on the internet that should also be on Nairaland and put it on home page. If a story is trending on the internet, it means many people are discussing it already and Nairaland owes its member to know about it too.

For every story that is trending on the internet, she checks if the story exist on Nairaland; if someone already created a thread for the story, she edits it and puts it on home page, if not she has to create a thread for it and put it on home page. It is her job as a super-moderator to do that.

Also home page tries to cater for all interests. We can not all be interested in the same thing. The ones you think are interesting might be hated by some other people. That some of us dont find a topic interesting on home page does not mean others dont. Like I always tell people, if you dont like a particular topic, ignore it and click on the ones you like.

And finally, if you think a particular story is interesting and many people will like to read/discuss it; just recommend it to her and she will look at it. There are suggestion threads in many sections that she checks regularly for home page suggestions, like this: https://www.nairaland.com/938835/lets-complaints-suggestions-enquiries-here/7 just suggest it and she and other moderators will look at it.

Gboliwe: I am also a graduate of Accountancy from a federal university in Nigeria. I am in dire need of a good job. I am very good with Accounting but i've had it rough and tough (who hasn't though). My 'plight' nay my situation is unique because i'm battled from every sides.
I am smart, intelligent and honest (just a few of my virtues/attributes) but cheated by nature as I have a bad leg! This singular 'vice' has seen me thru hell and back.
I have written and passed a thousand and one job aptitude test, moved very fast in stages of interviews but the moment it gets to the final stage which is meeting physically, I get thrown away because I will be an 'eyesore' limping around in the room.

I sincerely do not mean to whip up any pity from you if I do, I will tell you things i've been through and still going through that will make you cry, but I wish you to help me get a good job. Please, give me a link. I may have weak limbs but i'm mentally fit to do any Admin/Accounting job.

I think you should let people know if you have any special skill apart from your degree. Also your personal attributes and virtues. I mean you need to convince people you have something more to offer apart from the degree.
