djustice:
Any further proof needed that the moderators are card-carrying ACN propagandists? Seun, is it right that your moderators cannot remain neutral, and would seek to represent some political interests on this forum, while the rest of us count on their neutrality? WE NEED A PDP MODERATOR TOO O!!!
naijaking1:
Mr. OAM4J is the ACN chairman Nairaland chapter, the whole World knows that grin grin grin
If you ever wonder how every ridiculous, false, and unresearched thread against GEJ and PDP always finds their way to the headline page, you have your answer now. lipsrsealed
lol  grin grin

I am not an ACN member or supporter, just not yet. But I support Fashola's good work in my state of origin and the initiatives of the ACN Governors so far.

True I don't like PDP as a party, they have failed Nigeria IMO, except for the likes of Rotimi Amechi and Chime.

Nevertheless, for the good of Nigeria, I wish GEJ succeeds and prove me wrong, but then can anything good come out PDP especially at the federal?  undecided

BTW, Only Admin and the Supermod determine what topic makes the home page, you and I can only recommend.

PDP not alternative

THE Lagos State chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) yesterday gave reasons the rival Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot be the alternative to Governor Babatunde Fashola-led administration in the Centre of Excellence. It said the PDP has nothing to show for its hold on power at the federal level for more than 12 years.

Speaking through its spokesman, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, the party described as unfortunate that some elements within the opposition have been trying to discredit the Fashola administration by highlighting only the roads that are yet to be fixed in the state.

According to a statement signed by the ACN publicity secretary, many new roads have been built and rehabilitated under the ACN-controlled administration than under any PDP-controlled state, especially in the Southwest.

He said the party’s dismal performance explained the rejection of the PDP in all the six states in the zone at theApril polls, assuring that the ACN will replicate what it has done in Lagos to justify the overwhelming mandate it got from the people during the April elections.

Igbokwe wondered why the PDP chose to be blind to the development of roads that are on-going across the state, even as he reminded that the contract with the electorate was to attend to the roads one after the other.

ICPC recovered N12bn stolen funds —Olamiti

Written by Idowu Samuel Friday, 21 October 2011

THE Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), on Thursday, said its battle against corruption over the years has been yielding dividends.

The ICPC said it had been able to recover stolen funds from public officials to the tune of N12 billion and had remitted same to government coffers.

The national co-ordinator of ICPC’s National Volunteers Corps (NAVC), Mr Folu Olamiti, made this known during a ceremony marking the launch of Abuja chapter of the corps, stressing that the new initiatives by the anti-graft agency were good enough to reduce acts of corruption to the barest minimum in no distant future.

He said the new methods adopted by ICPC in fighting corruption had worked effectively in countries like Singapore, United Arab Emirate, Malaysia, Botswana and other countries, and enjoined members of the Volunteers Corps to work hard in taming the menace of corruption in their areas of operation.

He said, “ NAVC, FCT chapter, is an important chapter that would be closely supported and monitored by the commission. The spillover effects of its activities should help in reducing the attendant problems of corruption in all Federal Government offices. The activities of NAVC in FCT have the potential of supporting President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation agenda through the fight against corruption and other related offences.”
