I think WHO actually recommends breadtfeeding till 2 years. I really wanted to breastfeed my son till he turned 2 but Mil and hubby did not let me rest so I weaned him at 18 months. In retrospect, I think it was too late as he was already smart and way too attached. He's 2 years, 2 months now but he still fondles my boobs at will (even when we are out) and sucks his lips. Sometimes, he even tries to put his suck the breast sef

Pls how true is this theory or fact, I don't even know, the nurses during ANC advised us on the need to breastfeed your LO till they are 2 yrs old.. lemme explain better to avoid misinterpretation, they said once the baby gets to 6 months, you start introducing other food to them but we should not wean them till they are 2 years except the babies on their own decides to stop breast milk.

Me I find it somehow breastfeeding a baby that is 1 year old, talk more of 2 years. My mindset has always been once they get to 7 months or at most 8 months, they are off breast milk completely. I feel babies they breast feed till 2 years always gets tooooo attached and gummy body with their mothers.

It could be you're not collecting the sample properly. They usually advice you collect the middle urine , meaning after washing up properly, urinate a little collect the middle urine just before you finish.

Had the same issue too till I learnt how to properly collect the urine.

Drinking lots of water also helps.

There was a time it was 2 plus and they asked me to repeat and they collected the urine themselves the 2nd time using a catheter. And they didn't see any protein with that sample. Was about 8 weeks then. This why I didn't take this thing serious since then. I will watch my diet especially as I am very overweight now. Thanks a lot for your help.

If that’s your BP reading then please watch your diet.. your bp is good, your diet could actually be causing protein to show in your urine plus do you use a new bottle each time or same old bottle..

That could be another reason for the protein seen..

Yes, it helps. Thanks sis. Trace yesterday but they saw 2 plus before that. BP is 109/8o something. Don't remember.

OGTT is done to rule out diabetes in pregnancy..

You will be given glucose drink and your sample will be taken after an hour, you are expected to take nothing by mouth from 12midnight prior to the test or 8hours before..

If you failed the initial one, a 3hour glucose test will be done to confirm diagnosis..

I discovered mine at 28 weeks, thank God you know yours early, I avoided sugar, carbs, vegetable oil , junk food , soda(coke Fanta and co), I started using little quantity of pomace olive oil since then, I avoided salt, I started seeing a dietitian too. But the protein in my urine went to 3 plus so I had to deliver at 30 weeks because it was affecting my liver already.

Hi dear how long gone are you ? Protein in your urine is dangerous during pregnancy but manageable and most times it increases, it happened during my last pregnancy and I had to birth preterm emergency plywhat what you eat especially those unhealthy foods and u healthy oils.
Now I’m pregnant again I know better not to take a lot of things granted. Please start working on that protein now and eat healthy to avoid preeclampsia because that’s one of the symptoms and talk to your obgyn every minute and second. I don’t intend to make you sacred but people on this thread last year knew my story and it wasn’t a pleasant one

I bought girl stuff when I had my first scan and he said he’s a seeing girl and very unsure, I used faith and subsequently it’s been confirmed to be a girl by another sonographer and a radiologist.
My husband thought I was being really ridiculous but my head is in default mode baby girl for this pregnancy

Good evening, beautiful mamas. Trust we all had a good day. Please, I need your help o. I've been having serious pains in my legs for the past 3 weeks and it keeps getting bad. It gets worse at night, particularly my left leg. The leg feels so heavy that I can barely move it. Didn't experience this in previous pregnancies so I don't even know if it's pregnancy related. I have also complained at the hospital but they just gave me pain relievers and referred me to the Orthopedic clinic. Has anyone ever experienced this and can anyone please offer advice on how I can find relief! This is a cry for help, please.


On another note, I also need advice o. Please don't be angry at my long epistle. I'm about to be promoted at work and we are already discussing terms, remuneration and what not. It's a really big deal as I will be managing several branches in and outside the country so the role requires someone who's gonna be 100% efficient (or at least close). My concern now is if I should tell them I'm pregnant or not. Please I need your honest advice. Should I tell them or just keep quiet? I'm just so confused.

I just dey vex since morning within me. I no quarrel with anyone but the vexing is just too much and choking me. Dh will come do lovey dovey play with me yet I go just smile for teeth and next minute my vexation is fully back .

Hmmm. MS dealt with me so much that I landed in the hospital last week o. I was placed on IV for days and given Promethazine injection stat to follow on with Navidoxine tab for 2 weeks. It's been bearable since then. Still nauseous but at least I can manage to keep the food down. Then the constipation and bloating ehn, let's just thank God.

You’re not alone. This one is my third and not funny. Can’t get anything down. I like my water very cold but still end up throwing it up atimes. Praying that this phase passes fast.

My morning sickness is usually the worst! It's even annoying that it's called morning sickness when you feel sick all day sef.
I can't hold anything down and I've been throwing up for the past 1 week, resulting in me being so weak that I can barely stand.
Currently on drip and even my doctor suffered before he could get my veins because I was already so dehydrated.
I wish this phase will pass soon

Your withdrawals are not an issue as long as your balance has not gone below the required living expenses at any point within the 28 days.

You cannot use a bank statement more than 30 days old so forget the 3 months bank statement which is not recent.

Please I need your advice.

My appointment is on Monday and I am having doubts concerning my bank statement.

I have paid my tuition in full so I am only required to have a little over N4m in my account but I have more than that. The statement I printed today is from Nov 1 - Nov 30 the difference between the opening and closing balances is about N2m - meaning I had more withdrawals than deposits - BUT I didn't as anytime go below the required N4m. I spoke to someone today, and she expressed concerns that it may be an issue for me - i.e having such a huge amount of withdrawals within the month.

I have another statement from the period of Jul 1 - Nov 15 (3 months) and this statement shows a higher closing balance than opening - i.e more deposits than withdrawals. This issue with this is that it is for 3 months and it is not recent.

Please which statement do you suggest I use? I am very apprehensive because I applied in September this year and got rejected based on the credibility interview and I have had two visit visa rejections (2016). Thanks
