Would you be willing to donate that breastmilk? Because there are baby-friendly hospitals who just may need it for newborns in NICU. You could help a child. If you are willing to do a blood screen to rule out all infection, and in Lagos. You won't be paid, it's an act of charity. If the hospital decides to charge the patient then you get small compensation (to cover transportation etc).

Antibodies are antibodies, except for small genetic changes, any baby can take another healthy Mother's breastmilk. And there are Mums who are very willing to give their children breastmilk. But this is not a transaction, it's one mother helping another.

Are you still at home with your baby? Have you started work? If you are still with baby, then you need to feed him before you feel your milk leaking. If you have started work, you can express more frequently or you have to start reducing your milk supply by breastfeeding less.

cc Omolayo29. You need to wear a bra with a breastpad in to help with leaks. You can either buy washable breastpads or disposable. Depending on how full the brea.st is you can put light pressure on the nip.ple once you feel it about to leak, it usually stops but a breastpad is the best solution

help a ftm o, if my baby is sucking d right side breast, d left side breast will be running like tap and vice versa and I'll have to put a cup to avoid being wet, even if my baby is not sucking, breast milk will still come out, I usually get soaked whenever I sleep. can putting on bra solve it?

Thanks mama, this is not a leakage o. More like an outpour. I was lying down and I just felt this mighty gush. When I got up, it was like a pool. Hubby didn't even allow me wait to pick anything, he just rushed me down to the hospital.
Baby and I are doing well, I think. I've done a scan, BPP and CTG and everything's perfect. The scan even placed baby at 38weeks and the docs are doubting that I'm sure about my dates. Anyways, no serious pains yet and they are saying if labor does not commence by morning, I will have to be induced. Pray for us please


Your baby is almost matured....he has a high chance of survival.
God will surely bring him to you healthy and strong.
Just follow your Drs. Make sure they're checking heart beat regularly, once they notice a decline or weakening abeg run reach theatre before them.



But did the water break or it's just leaking?

For diapers molfix is good. There are several good brands but I use molfix. Size 2 is OK for a newborn.
For wipes huggies, pampers, angel baby are good
Bath products I use Nycil but recently switched to cussons cos Nycil is scarce in my area.
For body cream and hair cream I use Shea butter

Perfumes and fragrances for a baby? Never heard of that

Diapers: molfix size 2. Wipes: I use pampers. Huggies is a bit hard and gave my baby a sore bottom. Bath products: I use chicco but cussons is good. Body cream: ori mixed with coconut oil. Coconut oil for his hair. Perfume and fragrance no need biko. The only thing is I use comfort in the water to wash his clothes so they always smell very nice.

cologne/fragrances for babies are actually available by different known brands bt it doesn't seem necessary, like mama liftedhands pointed out since babies av their natural beautiful scent.moreover, one can't tell if there are downsides to using such seemingly unnatural products on babies. I also think dt d smell of deodorant will too harsh on a baby's lungs&d substance on their skin; it is used to control sweat or d smell of it which babies don't av.
