"Any successful team will have to build from the back and have a foundation to play from. We always say ‘you have to earn the right to win a game of football’. You earn it by defending well, you have a foundation and hopefully a settled team. “Hopefully, we won’t have to make too many changes. Over the last few years, I’ve always had the feeling there’s been so many players with bad luck concerning injuries. "Both Jose [Mourinho] and Louis [van Gaal], maybe even David [Moyes], had to chop and change the back four, especially the centre-backs. Hopefully we can get a settled line-up.” - Ole Gunner Solksjaer |
Hans-Joachim Watzke (Dortmund CEO) on Jadon Sancho: "A chief of one of the super clubs asked me back in spring if there was a chance, but I told him straight away he should forget about it, and he never contacted me again. He knew I meant what I said." |
To be honest, it's difficult to judge. I've watched many Clips of Sancho and kinda satisfied with his Skills. Majority have shared my Sentiments already, as regards the standard of the League he's a plying his Trade presently. He's talented, highly talented, but I can't rate him over Rashford yet. I keep watching some of the Goals scored by Rashford during Pre-Season and his Second Goal against Chelsea - they're well taken, superb Goals. Seems the Dude is back to bang this Season. I pray he keeps delivering on his Talents and improving his Skills week in week out - this Season and beyond. |
SkimpleD: ![]() Envisaging more positives I guess, after losing or perhaps draw the Game?! |
![]() Sanchez?! Maybe he's gonna be a positive Revelation playing as an AM this Season..... If he's not sold. |
As time goes by, we all gonna understand the tactical prowess of OGS. Is he a defensive-minded Manager? Absolutely NO. I don't wanna engage anyone or add anything to OGS Tactics Discourse, but all I'm gonna say is; OGS is the right Manager for the Club. |
United are ready to offer Lindelof a three year extension worth £150,000-a-week [double his wage] that would keep him at the club until 2025. - Mirror |
Alexis Sanchez wants to leave Manchester United within the next fortnight. He's keen on a return to Serie A with Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli being the favourites to sign him. |
Alexis Sanchez wants to leave United this summer. Sanchez's agent, Fernando Felicevich, met with Juventus earlier in the summer, while Napoli and AC Milan also hold an interest. |
United decided against signing Bruno Fernandes as scouts felt his way of playing did not suit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s style. There were also concerns he takes too many risks in possession. |
Fernandes' pass completion rate of 75.1% wasn't deemed high enough even if he works with an element of risk. |
Manchester United scouts decided against signing Bruno Fernandes this summer as he gives the ball away too much in possession. The club had concerns over his decision-making on the ball. |
afrodoc2:Based on my Assessments, Brandon Williams has better chance at making it to the first Team sooner than the Rest as a LB. |

Jones, Smalling and Rojo already know their respective time is up at Old Trafford. I expect one or two of them to leave the Club in the January TW. They are still in the Squad because of Bailly and TFM injury! |

Scholes: "It was exciting watching Marcus knowing there's still a lot more to come from him. You've seen home-grown players like Jesse as well, & these players are exciting to watch. McTominay's looking good, & other people like Chong & Gomes are coming through too.” - Sky Sports |
Gary Neville: “I’m more interested in the board room or in the business side of things. The football side I love. I love watching matches but I just don't want to be on the training pitch, I feel like I've done that part of my life and want to move on.” - BBC |
Gary Neville: “There’s nothing better than a level-headed young lad absolutely working his socks off. The fundamental basis of any successful person is hard work, and Scott McTominay is doing that in abundance.” - Sky Sports |
Rashford: “For me, it’s no surprise to see the progress Axel has made. I’ve been playing with Axel since we were kids & I remember, at about 16 or 17, he was the toughest one-v-one defender that I’d ever trained or played against. I’ve always expected this from him.” |
Rashford: “Mason is quite laid-back. He just likes to enjoy his football. I always think to myself that he’s not someone who you would necessarily give loads of information to. Just tell him a few bits and let him just play; that’s how he gets about with his football.” |
Gary Neville: "We'll get a great manager, hopefully that's Ole, and they'll start to win again. That's going to happen. I can guarantee you as clear as day, Manchester United will win again. They'll probably win the league before Liverpool, in my opinion. That’s not being disprespectful. They’re closer than you think and it’s not as bad as you think.” - Sky Sports |
Gary Neville: "Mason Greenwood comes through! And do you know something, the first thing Manchester United have got to do, as a fan, is make the team like them again." - Sky Sports |
Rashford: “Chongy is a very exciting player when he’s on the ball. For me, you just want him to express himself more because I’ve seen him play in the Under-18s and he’ll run at a defender all day long and give them a hard time for 90 minutes.” |
Rashford: “Angel is another one who’s been known in United’s system as one of the top players for many years. It’s probably taken him a bit more time than he expected, he’s smaller than pretty much all the players he plays against, but he’s a clever kid.” |
Rashford: “He (Gomes) can manipulate his body to get in good positions, without necessarily using the physical side of the game. He’s a very clever player and you just want those players to keep developing and, the way to do that, is to get game time.” |
Rashford: “When he’s (Chong) come to the first team... you all saw the game against Inter Milan, when he was just up and at them for the time he was on the pitch. That’s what you want to see.” |
Rashford: “Jimmy’s very mature for his age. When I started playing for the first team at the same age he’s at now, I probably wasn’t as mature as him in the way I was playing. He’s in the midfield too so he has to mature quicker, but, for me, he’s a very good player.” |
Gary Neville: "Liverpool, City, Tottenham. All these clubs have had poor recruitment policies over the last 25-30 years at times. Manchester United are going through one at the moment. Eventually they'll stumble upon the right recruitment system." - Sky Sports |
