The List!

“I’ve always been an optimist. As a striker, you have to be an optimist. Defenders, like keepers, have to be pessimists. I’ve always lived off defenders making mistakes and being positive in my movement, looking for chances to score a goal.

"I have to say, throughout my life, I’ve always tried to see possibilities in situations. Next year we’re out of the Champions League and, yeah, we’re in the Europa League which, last time we were in it, we had success and won it with Jose and his team. That’s another possibility to win a trophy next year.

"Of course there are going to be chances for other players and that’s the way I’ve always been. I was injured. I fractured my cheekbone and thought I could work on different things. It’s just my nature. I don’t like to be too negative or hard on myself. Don’t get me wrong, I’m probably harder on myself and my family than anyone else but you still have to be an optimist.”

“We had highlights and some lowlights throughout. But of course when you start off at Cardiff, it’s almost written in the stars that it’s going to be the first game. We score five goals and you can see the team with energy and forward movement, and think ‘wow these are some talented players and I can’t wait to work with this group’.

"Then there was Tottenham away, Arsenal away in the cup and Chelsea away in the cup - some fantastic away performances. We just need to get that consistency at home, being able to win games and dominating more games. I think we’ve been fantastic with counter-attacking football but must improve on dominating more games.

"The last period has been difficult but that doesn’t mean the team or players have become any worse. We’ve just found it hard. It’s been a long, emotional season for them physically, as well as emotionally. When you lose your manager halfway through the season, it’s not easy for the players.”

“They are all going to stay. I think that’s important, that we keep that team going forward. We do bounce off each other and they are some excellent coaches.

"Kieran, with his 32 years of age, you’d think he’s had 32 years in coaching. Demps – I’ve worked with him now since 2011 when I moved back to Norway, he came with me to Molde. He’s a Manchester United lad through and through, he came through with Norman Whiteside and Mark Hughes in that youth team.

"I think he was captain and he played once for the first team. He knows what this means. Michael – what can I say that no-one else knows about Michael? When he came in, it was my last season as a player so I played with him for one year. He’s a personality I can really connect with."

“I’m very pleased. When Ed [Woodward] rang me in December, I hadn’t spoken to Mike but I spoke to him once when I was at Cardiff. He was out of a job and we spoke for an hour or two there.

"When I got the job, I was quickly thinking ‘what do I need for help?’ and Mike Phelan was my first port of call. I couldn’t get hold of him, apparently he was at a coaching session at Burnley College, and I didn’t get hold of him until seven or eight hours later.

"Since I got the first call, there were a few hours of thinking ‘what if he doesn’t want to come’ as he was first choice. He’s such a knowledgeable and likeable lad – I can’t say lad as he’s so much older than me!

"To have played under him as well and working with him now, this team is so important to me. I said to Ed we need to make sure after he gave me my job full-time that we get Mike with us.”

“At 7.30am in the morning when I drive in, in the first few weeks, I thought I’ll be early and one of the first here. But I look up through the window and Michael, Kieran and Demps are sitting there!

"Mike has got a little bit further to drive but, once he’s here at 8.30am, we’re all there sat discussing things. We are a team. We bounce things off each other and have each got different qualities, so I’m so happy to have this team around me.

"With the experience of Mike, he’s been here with the gaffer when he was here and been a player. Michael has been a player and had some fantastic managers in Jose, David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Sir Alex. I’m so fortunate to work together so we can all learn from each other.”

“Yeah, losing is 100 per cent worse as a manager! Oh, of course, you look at yourself all the time as a manager. Should I have picked a different team or different tactics? Was the training week not the best?

"Everything goes through your mind. When I was a player, you had another game and soon just thought ‘I’ve got to listen to the manager and do my job’.

"It’s so different but I learned early on in my career to move on quickly. If you’re going to think about this in five years’ time then, okay, spend time on it. If you’re not going to think about it in five years’ time, flush it and move on.”

“Yeah, it’s a big change but they’re still human beings. More talented human beings and footballers than I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been a fan for so many years, back home in Norway and in Cardiff as well, so to be able to work with and get to know them, speak to them every day, has been an eye-opener for me.

"They’re still top lads and want to improve and learn. But human beings also lose confidence when things are going wrong. It is the same as the Norwegian ones and the same as at Cardiff. We have to work with them every day and guide them, help them and that’s what we’re doing.”

“I’ve learned that I don’t like losing. I like winning. We started off fantastically. The boys were unbelievable when I came in. We were positive. We won games. The whole group gelled together and I enjoyed winning but I know that football is hard.

"You can’t just expect everything to go that way and the reality hit us. We are in a league with loads of very good teams and, to be at our top [level], we need to be 100 per cent focused. We came into some games really, really focused with the full team and I thought that was fantastic.

"Then you learn a lot when you go through tough times and think about who can we build this team around, and who we think is going to take the next step because we need to go to the next level.“

"You need to understand the club. Maybe they don't have it, that's why I say ex-players, the most important thing is inside the dressing room. I'm not ashamed to say it, I sacrificed even my family to succeed for United.

"You know the flag 'United, Kids, Wife', that doesn't make me laugh. Are the board, managers, players ready to do that?"

- Patrice Evra
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 10:36am On May 14, 2019
"You want me to kill people, eh? I'll be honest; I haven't spoken to people from the board deeply about this, Ed Woodward or the Glazers. Who is picking the players? Is it the board or the manager? That's my real question. Did Mourinho want Sanchez badly? Or was it just Ed? It's difficult to point the finger at someone because we don't know.

"Until you work inside the club, you can't answer this. From outside, the first person everyone is going to blame is Ed. Does the manager say to him that he wants a player and he should give him the money? We have to change the way we think. Business is important, I know, but until you win trophies and show your passion, people will hate you.

It will take time, I think they need more people who understand this club and will bleed for it. They need more ex-players involved."

"I advise Paul every day. We Facetime, we talk. I tell him every day what it means to wear the tracksuit, not even the shirt, just the tracksuit and what it represents. He listens to me.

"Before he left the club when he was young to go to Juventus, I spent two hours at his house talking to his mother and brothers, saying how Paul can be the new Patrick Vieira at United."

"I think he [Pogba] will leave because you need to feel the love when you play somewhere, you need to be committed. If Paul decides to stay another year and then leave, or stay another few years, maybe the fans will love him because he is committed. The United fans love you when you say you are committed.

"When I go to the game and I see fans shouting and swearing at players, I am in shock. In my time, you can play the worst game of your life and they will clap you. I remember losing 4-1 at home to Liverpool and they were still singing. That's the United fans I know - they've just had enough.

"I don't talk for Paul, whether he stays or leaves, but when you have negativity around you, you should leave."

"It's not like I am protecting Paul but when there are incidents like yesterday with the fan, they are killing Paul.

He has the most goals, most assists. I know you can question his leadership and in the last few games you want more, so that's why you can criticise him right now, but overall he has been the best player this season.

Just because it's Paul Pogba, he has haircuts, he dances, his Instagram and everything, people will criticise him while forgetting the player that he is. Only him and De Gea can play in a big team in Europe."

"Some players only come for the money, I am not afraid to say that. I have nothing against him, but Sanchez, when I saw the deal, that's when I thought the Manchester United history just went down.

"He had Manchester City, they were offering less money but he was going to play a better football than United - I'm sorry about that, but City play better football. Guardiola will also improve him.

So I want to know what is the real reason for choosing United? Don't tell me he loved Manchester United when he was a kid. It's either the money or he wanted to be the number one, take the No 7 shirt and be the star."

"I will be honest with you, I love all of them. I see them a lot - when I go to the games, I visit them in the dressing room and encourage them - they know how much I love them.

"But name me one or two players who can play for Real Madrid, Juventus or Bayern Munich? It's a few. I would say Paul Pogba and David de Gea. I have a lot of respect for the rest of them."

"I will say it is the spirit and the passion for the club [need to be fixed]. I know I am talking 'old school'. I don't want to blame the players because I think that some players are here and they themselves don't even know why they are here.

They don't have leadership in the dressing room to show them what it means to play for Manchester United. In our time, I remember I played nine years for United and for seven years I don't think I lost two games in a row.

"When I met Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill in Monaco at the time, when they interviewed me, they asked me questions like 'are you going to be ready to not lose any games?' and 'are you ready to play only at the top of the game and get criticised for a normal game?' You had figures at the club who tell you what you are going to represent.

"The problem now is on the pitch but also off the pitch."

Manchester United are willing to entertain a potential swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez and Juventus playmaker Paulo Dybala, according to Corriere di Torino.

Talks between the clubs have already taken place but United will likely have to fork up a sum of money for the Argentine's services too given his reported £85m price-tag.

We should be thanking God that our Players could not hide their averageness and lazyness until the beginning of next Season.

At least we've got to know their Limits. Everyone has seen their true Pictures..... They are simply bunch of over-pampered Twats.

I still stand by OGS, cos it will be unfair to judge him now. Let's wait and see what's under sleeves. What he's capable of. How he's planning to turn around the lazy mentality of our Players.

Btw..... 25mins of Gomez is far better than Perreira's 65mins on the Pitch yesterday.

Even USA won't pay him that kind money, he is not Rooney or Beckham that will sell merchandise. China is our only hope.
Sad to see Herrera go cos for all his technical limitations his passion and energy made him a perfect squad player.
I felt emotional while watching the Twitter Clip. He's definitely gonna be remembered for his total commitment to the Club and absolute respect for the Batch. Wish him [Herrera] best of Luck.

It's unlikely for any Chinese Club to come for Sanchez either. Except he's released, which is very impossible, Sanchez is going no where. We've got no choice than hoping he comes good, he rediscovers himself and deliver convincingly next Season.

I want him out as the rest of the Fans, but the more I think of it's Possibility the more I realize it is a very slim Chance of him leaving before next Season.

The Question is; which mumu Club gonna come for Sanchez?! Except United is lucky to receive bids from from USA and China, cos no ambitious Club in Europe would seek for his Service.

I like Herrera. He respects the Badge and always plays with his Heart for the Team. But I ain't gonna miss him, and I expect Mata to follow him soon as well.

Funnily, I've not given up on Sanchez yet. Though he has been underperforming for the Club, he played the Piano better than his Contributions to the Team so far, but we can't let him go just like that.

We need to hold on to him, Pogba and De Gea. Smalling and Jones are definitely going no where but at least Rojo must be sold as well as Darmian.

Tuanzebe, TFM, Mitchell, Garner, Greenwood, Chong and Gomez should be permanently promoted to the first Team, and shouldn't be loaned out. Board shouldn't buy any Star Players, rather go for raw Talents and nurture it.

United rarely get luck with Star Players..... Falcao, Di Maria and now Sanchez.

“When Ed Woodward rang me, that was my first port of call to get him to assist me. I was a player under him, his knowledge, his experience and his demeanour because everyone likes speaking to him, discussing football with him.

"The players really respect him, they know what he can do and he has worked with the best. For me, I'm a young manager and Mick has more experience in a few areas than I have.

"Him [being a United man] plays a big part in it. The same with Mark Dempsey and Michael Carrick - we all care about the club and it is never going to be about anything but the club.

"I think I have been quite honest that challenging for the title next year would be a miraculous season because we are so far behind points-wise.

“Next season we have to close that gap, if we manager to get to February or March and still be close then that’s fantastic.

“If not this summer will also be about players that can last here for many years. No it’s not just about ready-made players. We’ve never been a ready-made club.

“[Cristiano] Ronaldo was never ready-made, Wayne Rooney was never ready-made. Loads of the players that come here and really developed into the top superstars that they have become.

“That’s always going to be the model – that we will develop players because I’ve got the best staff, the best environment.

“And the best supporters because they love players that excite them, that get them off their seats and we hope to get some of them in.”
